Glebe's
Thrift Funnel
One
of two essential resources for Morris fans, with transcripts of Blue Jam,
On the Hour, The Day Today and Brasseye, along with interviews, articles,
news, info. |
And this is the other one, with sections covering the whole of Morris's career, right back to his GLR days, up to Blue Jam, with selected sound clips. And now, we hear, with the official seal of approval from the man himself. Bastard. |
Originally set-up as a celebration of Why Bother, the Radio 3 series performed by Chris Morris and Peter Cook, this is rapidly becoming yet another invaluable source of Morris-related rarities from the GLR days onwards, including a fantastic clip of him on Loose Ends. Comes with added Derek and Clive swearage. Highly recommended. |
Did you send flowers?. |
Back while the repeats are on, it's the music lists for the tracks played in between sketches for Series 3, along with some nice pictures. And no, I don't have music lists for the first two series, so don't bother asking. |
As if we haven't already given this site enough mentions already, here it is again. Blue Jam sound clips galore and all on one page rather than the diffused mess we have here. |
All the original shows as downloadable Real Player files, as first broadcast, complete with music. |
Some Of The Corpses Are Amusing A fascinating site, with loads of information on and opinions about all manner of comedy, especially regarding editing and censorship, a subject close to the heart of every Morris fan. Excellent behind-the-scenes stories on everything Chris - Blue Jam, Brass Eye, The Day Today, On The Hour, the old Radio 1 series - the lot, along with bucket loads of other shows. Special points awarded for info on the 1992 pilot show featuring Morris, "It's Only TV". Invaluable, if a bit opinionated now and then. |
The Burton Taylor Theatre in Oxford once agains plays host of an undergraduate revue produciton of Blue Jam, with the blessing of the man himself. Runs from 6-10 Febraury 2001. |
Not primarily a fan site, it's entry for Blue Jam is nevertheless a good, objective description of the series. The site also has entries for On The Hour and The Chris Morris Music Show, along with loads of other shows and is an invaluable resource for anyone interested in the history of 80's and 90's radio comedy. |
