Our Lady told the 3 children, "In October, I will tell who I am and what I want, and I will perform a miracle for see and believe."  It was raining that day and more than 70,000  people came to witness Our Lady's appearance and give her their petitions.  They were watching the children on their knees thinking that possibly they would be fortunate enough to catch a glimpse of Our Lady.  It did stop raining and it looked as though the sun might break through the clouds.  Suddenly the sun spin out of its orbit, causing a rainbow of color as it gyrated.   Finally, when this stopped, the sun was seen plunging toward the earth causing the people beneath it to scream in terror. All of this lasted for about 10 minutes. When the sun eventually resumed its normal behavior, many of these rain soaked people found their clothing completely dry. A number of those that had come with medical problems found their ailments either completely healed or significantly alleviated. More than 10,000 people in the neighboring villages also saw the sun's miraculous display.
