Am/Can Ch. Reveille No Mercy

(Ch. Blands Gold Bullion X Am/Can Ch. Reveille Fly So Free)
Pedigree

While Pookie is not ours she is sired by our Blands import, Andrew, and out of a champion Texas daughter. She is owned and bred by our daughter, Kirsten, who got us into corgis in the first place! It took Kiss 17 years to do her first breeding and we think she did a pretty good job!

At just days over 6 months, Pookie took her first point at the Fall Gem State Cluster in Boise, Idaho. Then, one month later, won both her majors on the competitive Coyote Cluster in Tucson, Arizona, one day under Breeder/Judge Gloria Kerr. In January 2001 she won a third major from the 9-12 class at Sammamish Kennel Club in tough NW competition, going Best of Winners/Best of Opposite Sex with Kirsten handling. After taking time for a coat change, Pookie came out and won her last 4 points in the first four shows she was entered in, missing her Grandfather's (Texas) record by two months - finishing at 15 months old!

This puppy has a dead level topline on the move, exceptional shoulder, wonderful, free, easy movement and, best of all, has a great personality and temperament. We think Kirsten is going to have a lot of fun with her as a Special later on!
Pookie's first outing as a Special was the 2001 Cascade Pembroke Welsh Corgi Specialty. Breeder/Judge Pat Shilling honored her with a Judges Award of Merit. The same weekend, Breeder/Judge Gloria Kerr awarded her Best of Opposite Sex to the Best of Breed with Kirsten handling. Naturally, Kiss was thrilled!

An official invitation was received inviting Pookie to the 2002 AKC EUKANUBA CLASSIC INVITATIONAL! While she won't be able to attend (maternal duties take precidence), we're very proud that she has remained ranked #22 in the US with only 20 shows under her belt and none since May!

Pookie has attended the 2003 Asia International show in Tokyo, Japan April 5 & 6. This show is considered to be the premier show in all of Asia and is hosted by the Japan Kennel Club, sponsored by Pedigree. It is right on par with Westminster Kennel Club or a National breed specialty show. Pookie won BOB BITCH in an entry of 108 pembrokes. This years show drew entries of 2,751. What an honor. We'll post pictures soon. She has now returned home to resume her show career. We're looking forward to getting her back into the American show ring!

August 2004 Pookie went on vacation to Canada. She came home with a new Championship! In 9 shows, Pookie was BOB 7 times and won 4 group placements. She is currently ranked #14 in the US.

November 2004 - Pookie has qualified a SECOND time for the AKC/Eukanuba Classic/National Championship Show held in Florida, January 2005! We're so proud of this girl. She has earned all her honors on her own merit - no advertising or "campaigning". She is currently ranked #12 in the USA. Quite an accomplishment since we didn't decide to go for the Championship until June of 2004! Getting such a late start, she still gave them "all" a "run for their money"!
