Adamson University ECE Batch '95
Dubbed as ADU's youngest member of the family, the Electronics and Communications Engineering students were slowly nurtured to become little giants. Only prominent figures in the campus were allowed to handle us. No less than Fr. Rolando Dela Goza, former president of the university endeavored himself to manage the ever complaining neophytes. ( There was even an instance that he kicked a naughty Physics professor temporarily out of service just to show he listens with judgement). Sad to say, he left so soon....
We were then entrusted to Engr. Peter M. Ureta of the College of Engineering who joined hands with Engr. May Rose C. Imperial to uplift the ECE community on our third year of existence. Slowly, we were trimmed down to less than a hundred. And with the intention of filtering out more a roster of ECE mentors and tormentors surfaced. Little did they know that aside from being gifted intellectually, our charisma never fails to capture even the most indifferent professor....The solid block of PIONEERS already exists, never to be shattered......
Having been accredited by the Pastoral Affairs to organize our own society, AUECESS was born in 1992. Pretty rough at the start but amidst the topsy-turvy situation we encountered, we emerged poised and victorious-grinning from ear to ear. To date, AUECESS has been in existence for three years.
We brought in prestige as we dared ourselves to complete with ECE institutions nationwide. A surprise 9th placer at Don Bosco Technical College (We're just 4th year then, against graduating students) and the 5th placer (almost 3rd actually) at St. Louis University in 1993 and 1994 respectively.
On our fifth year, the ECE's are in full battle gear, In order to widen our knowledge on our chosen field, we visited different companies inside and outside of Metro Manila at the same time making known to all such course exists at AdU. This time we can confidentaly claim we have made our presence felt. Competency was established.

1990
Two hundred fifty naivettes stepped into the portals of Adamson Unversity
they were then unarmed for the battle, unprepared for the strife, their beings yet to be unfolded....
We were those NAIVETTES....
However, some chose to take a peek, a few survived others just couldn't make it,
some just get lucky.......

1995

As we anxiously await new challenges to be faced, and struggles to be waged,
we would alwayslook back with smiles on our faces because.......
Time saw the shedding of the leaves and the growth new ones It witnessed the
branching of the roots as they strengthened their clinging to the earth
it found the dreamers able to defy the inevitable and with bricks that life threw,
we were able to build the foundationon which we step with arms
outstretched towards those dreams we dreamed ones.....We were just naivettes
then unarmed.......then unprepared.......
but now are young professionals...........
