The Kairi Tukuienyo Karinya was formed in October of 1998. An offshoot of the Carib Community, it arose out of a need to reach the younger generation. The role we see for ourselves is to educate; to pass on the history, language and traditions of the Karinya. (This is the name the people, who the Europeans called Carib, called themselves. It means, People) Our goal is to make it possible for the young ones to participate as equals with their elders in community events
