French Cavalry of the Imperial Guard
The Imperial Guard was intended to act as a miniature army, and had cavalry and artillery in addition to its famed infantry.  The cavalry of the Guard at Waterloo consisted of dragoons, lancers, chasseurs a cheval,  and grenadiers a cheval.  All of these figures are availiable in plastic.

The uniform of the Dragoons of the Imperial Guard was nealry identical to that of the line Dragoons.  Either the HaT or Italeri figures will work well for these elite dragoons.

The Imperial Guard Lancer Regiment was a composite unit made up of the old Polish lancers (blue uniform) and Dutch lancers (red uniform).  The Esci French Lancers set can be used for both.

The Chasseurs a Cheval of the Imperial Guard wore a very distinctive green and orange uniform that was very similar to that of the hussars.  Revell makes a set of Guard Chasseurs, but the quality of the set is not good.  Instead, use the figures from the Italeri French Imperial General Staff set (2 poses) and the the Italeri French Guard Horse Artillery set (1 pose).

The Grenadiers a Cheval of the Imperial Guard were the elite of an elite force.  These were the very best French cavalry unit of the Napoleonic Wars.  HaT Industries makes a beautiful set of these famous cavalrymen.
