The period of the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars saw nearly constant warfare grip Europe from 1792 - 1815, a period of 23 years! The scope of the fighting exceeded all that had come before, but, sadly, not all that would come after. The Napoleonic Wars were a world war in the truest sense of the word, as the confligration swept every continent but Antarctica. The epic scope of the wars, along with the variety of uniforms worn by the participants, have made the Napoleonic Wars a favorite with both modelers and figure manufacturers. Since Airfix (an English company) began the hobby, the British army in general and the Battle of Waterloo in particular have received the most attention.
