The famous southern cavaliers, the rebel cavalry, have long fired the imagination of the historian and wargamer.  Only one manufacturer has made a cavalry set that depicts the grey riders with their varying uniforms and soft felt hats: Italeri.

Here is the Italeri set, and it's beautiful.  The riders are a bit oversized, but it's not noticeable as long as the figures are based only with other Italeri troopers.  As always with cavalry, it's difficult to get them to lie flat on the scanner.
