Of the six available sets depicting
the Russian army in the Napoleonic Wars, HaT Industries has issued four.
These dragoons were the first regular Russian cavalry available in plastic,
and they are very nice. The dragoons wore three different types of
headgear during the wars. The first was bicornes, which can be salvaged
from other sets. These were replaced by helmets with comb, then helmets
with horsehair brush.

The HaT Dragoons come in four dragoon poses and two horse poses. These are wearing the helmet with comb, which dates them from the period 1803-1808. I don't know if any units retained these attractive helmets after the change in regulations, but I use these for the battles of 1812-1813 as well. The dragoon on the dappled grey horse has gold eppelautes, marking him as an officer.
