The day the earth stood still
Two sides of a mirror
Reflecting on the moment,
Reflecting on the self.
Side 1: Does my imposition poison my reason?
Side 2: Am I so afraid of living a lie that in the meantime I have forgotten to live?
Struggling to find the eternal It in "It Is."
Knowing only all Is none | Knowing only all Is one
Thrown into the unknown unfathomable,
The earth stood still, at a loss for shelter.
Found the question of belief,
Found the question of faith.
Shattered
Fragments of
fear,panic,care,abandon,humility,pain,doubt,surrender,hope,fear,fear,fear
Through the burning, spinning, friction of Hell;
Through the toils of Atlas - the world weighing heavily on my shoulders;
Through the pain and humility of Christ's crucifixion;
Through the merging of friends - body and mind - to face a common enemy:
The fall into man's abysmal depths.
I knew the mirror must be smashed,
And that I must roll in its shards.
Found belief in belief,
Found faith in faith;
And a touch of omnipotance,
Forged through friendship,
Realized that one's love
Must encompass one's torture
To bring laughter once again,
The day the earth stood still.
