Welcome to The Antique Computer Store!

I am looking to the Barn for a massive un-haul. I have been donated upon 1 or 2 hundred times too many! I plan to go through everything. It will result in one of three destinies for anything out there:

1. eBay/Here. Sold off via this site or eBay.

2. Donated. Loaded up and taken to various second-hand stores.

3. Landfill/Recycles. I will simply throw it away.

In the mean time the rest of this page is from that 2008 date above -- enjoy:

Ok, the storm has hit! I have pulled everything from the garage and all that is not nailed down is going via eBay! I still have loads of old printers. I am not too enthusiastic about shipping them, so many will go to second hand stores. If you want to cover shipping, I'd be glad to ship one or more to you. Just email me at printers@noesiscreation.net.

This is where you may see postings as things get posted: eBay (listings are down the page a bit).

I have dug out the Apple IIe's and the postings (albeit slow) are a happenin'! While this store is closed, feel free to browse around.

Thank you for your patients and understanding.

Antique Computer has the latest and greatest in the realm of long ago.

UPDATE (STARDATE:20200112): Last year I finally got to the barn. I cleared out 99% of the old computers I had. I donated most of that to the Reuseam in Garden City, Idaho. The rest went to the Goodwill Store near where I live. Along with it went the Treasure Valley/Boise User Group libraries as well as the Atari Boise User Group libraries. Sadly, much of both clubs' libraries were damaged. I am broken hearted that I didn't have an opportunity to get copies of the disks for myself. I might have been able to, had I etched out some time, but I never did. There was an overwhelming amount of computers and periferals to deal with and it just needed to leave. Fortunately, most got donated to places that can find homes for it. I really have enjoyed buying and selling old computers over the years, there are many fond memories, and I will miss doing it. I just no longer have the time. All the items on this page (aren't there only two Heathkits?) went in that haul. Look up the Reus aum in Garden City for a chance to grab an old Noesis Creation Machine! TTFN! noesis0

POSTSCRIPT 2020.07.15: Just a thought. I'd be cool if I could find the old pictures of the verious computers I have sold over the past 23 years and post the pictures here. Be cool to have selling prices and shipping cities. Not sure I kept that good of records. Just a thought.

Computers/Drives/Monitors:
Keep in mind, as with anything on this page, if it isn't listed, it isn't included (system software, for example).

Misc Stuff!

Misc Stuff! is where we list, well, misc. stuff. All prices are in US funds.

Heathkit: GONE! It was here for 20-plus years, shoulda offered on it then. :/
Heathkit Signal Generator

Heathkit Model IG-28 Color Bar and Dot Generator (Serial No. none) Circa 1969 $200.00, plus $18.00 shipping**

This is one of the kits already assembled from the Late Great Heath Company, known in the depths of our hearts as Heathkit.

This unit is real nice and real clean on the outside. There are some barely visible scuffs on the unit here and there, a couple of small spots on the black parts where small scratches exist in the paint. The feet are there and the unit appears to be complete (I have not gone through the manual to determine if it is all there). An alligator clip needs to be recrimped as it has fallen off. The inside has not been cleaned.

Over all this is a beautiful piece of history that has been well preserved. This item deserves to find a home where a serious Heathkit Collector will love and care for it.

Today you can get a small device that does everything this does and more from Newtek and it is about the size of a pen. Now is your chance to catch a bit of nostalgia and own a truly rare piece of history.

The Heathkit Model IG-28 Color Bar and Dot Generator is a compact, all solid-state instrument for servicing color or black and white television receivers. It generates stable, crystal-controlled test signals to produce all color and convergence patterns needed to accurately adjust color circuits and tri-gun convergence systems. Twelve patterns plus purity (a clear raster for purity adjustments) can be produced. Dots, crosshatch, horizontal lines, vertical lines, color bars, and gray scale patterns are available in either a 3x3 or 9x9 display.

Enclosed in an attractive cabinet, the Generator is a versatile tool for workbench, laboratory, or "in-home" use.

The unit appears complete and has its original Assembly Manual, complete with parts list, step-by-step assembly, test and adjustment, final assembly and operation instructions, principles of color tv, trouble shooting, specifications, theory of operation, circuit description, chassis photos and schematics!

Corners of the manual are in great shape considering the age of this relic. The boxes to signify each step completed have been checked off (except those that did not apply). The unit itself is in excellent shape.

This is untested and is sold Strictly AS-IS -- all sales are final.

Heathkit O-Scope: GONE! It was here for 20-plus years, shoulda offered on it then. :/

Heathkit Vector Monitor

Heathkit Vector Monitor (Serial No. 01548) Circa 1971 $200.00, plus $18.00 shipping**

This is a kit already assembled from the Late Great Heath Company, known to many simply as Heathkit.

This O-Scope is small, even by today's standards.

This unit is really nice and real clean on the outside. There are some visible scratches on the unit here and there. The feet are there and the unit appears to be complete (I have not gone through the manual to determine if it is all there). The inside has not been cleaned. The face plate appears to have mounted at a slight angle.

Over all this is a beautiful piece of history that has been well preserved. This item deserves to find a home where a serious Heathkit Collector will love and care for it.

The Heathkit Model IO-1128 Vector Monitor is a compact service instrument with a 3-inch, flat-faced cathode ray tube. It has a self-contained power supply and all the controls necessary to adjust the cathode ray tube's brightness, focus, and pattern position. It is designed to operate in conjunction with a color bar generator for servicing color television receivers. The Monitor display is a vector pattern (waveform) which represents the amplitude and phase relationships of the actual chroma signals being applied to the red and blue guns in the picture tube of a color receiver.

The Vector Monitor can be used with grid-fed or cathode-fed color picture tube circuitry. A chroma (polarity reversing) switch on the rear panel reverses the display both vertically and horizontally so the color bars resulting from cathode-fed signals, which are opposite in polarity to those resulting from grid-fed signals, will appear in the proper sequence.

This unit is in excellent condition and appears to have been well kept. The face plate is slightly crooked (presumably from assembly), but it does not appear to interfere with functionality of the controls, visual lines of the display, or aesthetics of appearance.

The unit appears complete and has its original Assembly Manual, complete with parts list, step-by-step assembly, test and adjustment, final assembly and operation instructions, principles of color tv, trouble shooting, specifications, theory of operation, circuit description, chassis photos and schematics!

It looks like the assembler placed a hot soldering iron on the manual as there is a dark brown spot on the cover that goes on through several pages deep. Corners are worn and some curl up, but over all the manual appears in fair to good condition. The boxes to signify each step completed have been checked off (except those that did not apply).

This unit is fully assembled, however this item is untested and is sold Strictly AS-IS -- all sales are final.

Couldn't find it? If it was here, but is gone, maybe it's not too late -- it might be here !

Just a note: I'd love to clean and test all that I have available at this time, but I am not able due to time constraints (such as I am a full-time, stay at home Daddy with six kids -- need I say more?). As I post I will try to be specific as to what has not been cleaned or tested. Do not hesitate to ask weather or not something has been cleaned and/or tested.

Either way, I cannot warrant anything.

I hope you enjoy your new old system(s) or peripheral(s) and I hope you come by again.

TTFN!
