12-22-2001 I've removed the Stealth Forwarding on the noesiscreation.net redirect as many older browsers couldn't handle it. They either couldn't load the page, or they couldn't update properly. Now all is well.
10-24-2001 Maurice Randal has successfully taken over the CMD product line. While this is old news, it is indeed good news! (Links to come when I can update from the 1200.)
06-18-2001 This is what I found on CMD's C= page this morning:
Please note that CMD is no longer taking orders for Commodore Products.
We'd like to take this opportunity to extend thanks to our many customers
and supporters over the years, without whom our vision of a line of
powerful and compatible products would have remained but a dream.
06-09-2001 Noesis Creation now has an actual domain name -- noesiscreation.net. No need to update your bookmarks as it's in the same place, here on Angelfire. There is no www sub-domain to it -- just noesiscreation.net. Keep in mind it is a redirect and it uses a frame and many other web sites don't pop out of the frame and when you hit a link here the noesiscreation.net will still be the url in your browsers url line, so if you hit update, NC's index page will be loaded. The designation just makes it easier to get here if you don't have the long version bookmarked. I don't think the counter is affected, so use the one you feel most secure with.
06-05-2001 Hmmm. CMD's secure ordering page was just updated this morning, no change on the page that states orders will continue until June 4 at the 10am deadline. I wonder what's up....
TVBUG Librarian and NCEO, noesis0, sent a Thank You letter to CMD for their support over the last few years:
RE: A Farewell To Kings:06-02-2001 This is from CMD's commodore area page (CMD) regarding them no longer selling commodore equipment. Note: The Secure Online Ordering link is now online:Doug, Charles, Mark, et al;
I wanted to take a moment and thank you all for hanging with us commodore users these last few years. You have served us well, as a beacon of hope and inspiration, keeping the words, power user, true to their original meanings, and helping keep GEOS alive.
Your product line vanishing from the web and the commodore Universe will leave a definite void.
On behalf of TV/BUG (Treasure Valley/Boise User Group) and Noesis Creation, I wish you well in any and all future endeavours.

Note: Online Ordering will be available until 10:00 AM Monday, June 4, 2001.
Most products are (and have been) sold out with regard to the quantity of cases
we have available. However, we are considering an additional small run on some
hardware products if sufficient orders are placed. Orders will not be charged
until we are certain of the quantity we will eventually have available. Delivery may
require several weeks due to the volume of orders, especially later orders which
will depend on ordering additional parts from outside sources.
Due to the considerations above, RAMLink has once again been
made available in the ordering section.
We cannot guarantee that you will receive all items ordered, but every
order will count toward possible additional production.
CMD To Discontinue Commodore Production As of June 1, 2001 CMD will no longer be accepting any new orders for Commodore related equipment. We will however entertain all serious offers for the purchase of remaining parts inventories and the production rights to CMD products. Please note that production quantities on many products will be limited to parts that are in stock and as a result CMD reserves the right to cancel any resulting back-orders that exceed our current parts inventories. We request that only serious offers be submitted for consideration. Please submit any proposal via email to sales@cmdweb.com or fax to 413-525-0147. Sincerely,
Centsible Software Purchases CMD Software Inventory
On April 5, 2001 an agreement was reached between Creative Micro Designs and Centsible Software for the purchase of a major portion of CMD's remaining inventory of Commodore software, books and other third-party products.
Open Letter to Commodore Users Dear Fellow Commodore Enthusiasts, While it is our intention to continue our support for the Commodore C64 and C128 computer systems, declining sales have prompted us to examine this portion of our business. Based upon our review, it has been determined that in order to continue these efforts certain cost saving measures must be taken. In the coming months, we will be making changes in the way that we market and support our products for the C-64 and C128. These changes as well as substantial decreases in staffing are necessary if we are to remain profitable. Please note the following changes:
Once again, we are taking these measures in an effort to continue support for our many loyal customers and longtime friends. Any questions or inquiries related to these changes may be emailed to sales@cmdweb.com. Inquiries may also be faxed or mailed to the attention of customer service. Thanks again for your many years of support and encouragement. |
