The Lord's Prayer
What better way to start this Prayer page than with the words of our Lord who taught us to pray saying:
Our Father, who art in Heaven
Hallowed be Thy name
Thy Kingdom come
Thy will be done
On earth as it is in Heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us
And lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil
For Thine is the Kingdom
And the Power
And the Glory
Forever and ever
Amen
Thank You Jesus
Sweet Lord, your name brings such joy to my heart
I can scarce speak it without tears
Thank You for your Word
That has provided me with all that I need to follow you
Thank You for your Spirit
That has filled me with all I need to live for you
Thank You for your abiding love and patience
That gives me hope for tomorrow and comfort today
Thank You, My Lord, for your Promise
That means I will never be alone
Thank You for your Sacrifice
That has lifted me above my selfish desires and sinful life and bought me a pardon
Jesus, I deserve none of these gifts, so precious
Lord, I have nothing to give in return but my ragged attempts to be faithful to you
Saviour, I am not worthy
But I Thank You
I Thank You
And I am glad that you want me
And I will try, Lord
With each day
To live a life that says in deeds
What my heart says now to you in prayer

For Peace
Hear us Redeemer, Prince of Peace. Your children need you now and forever.
Oh Lord who loves us please bless the people of Kosovo and Albania and all those who suffer in Eastern Europe because of the wars that rage there. Lift up the hearts of your people and help them. Comfort them and keep them safe from all evil, in your arms of love. Please Lord look in favour on our brothers and sisters in Africa and deliver them from the hatred that has so often torn their countries apart. Bless them with Your divine Holy Spirit and show the world how your love can save an entire nation. Bless all who are weary Lord in this world of strife and help us to hold on and to keep faith.
Thank you for all of the blessings you have given us Lord and help us to see the miracles in each day and take strength and comfort from them. Let Your will be done my Lord. In Jesus' name, Amen.
