10 No's

Always keep this in mind. For every "no" you hear, you are that much closer to a "YES!". Statistically we all have to go through "no's" to get to the "yes".

I find that it helps me to deal with the no's if I make a game of it. Sit down with your list, and tell yourself that you have to get 10 no's before you can (just fill in the blank with whatever treat it is you're looking forward to). If I strike out 10 times in a row, well, it's a short session. But that usually doesn't happen!.

If you want to make it more of a challenge, tell yourself you have to get 10 no's in a row before you get the prize. That one's even harder! Last time I tried that, I collected 9 no's 3 times in a row, then the next person would agree to book a party. I actually had to quit without my prize--I booked the empty dates I needed to fill before I got all the no's I was looking for!

Gift Certificates

Make up gift certificates on your computer for different amounts $5.00 -20.00 also have a gift certificate printed on the outside of the envelope. Then at the party tell your guests who ever dates a show tonight gets to pick a gift certificate. That amount will be applied to there party in free merchandise.

Old Catalogues

Put a sticker on the catalog that says:

If you like what you see- contact me some of the line will stay but some will go away....

and attatch your name address and phone #

Dating Marathon

"Hi ( your telephone cotacts name)." This is_____from______, and I have only one minute to talk to you. I'm calling because we are in a special dating copetition. I'm sitting in a room with all the members of my team, and we are calling to date more parties( get togethers,etc) than ever before into the next 3 weeks. Can you help? If thr answer is "YES" say "Great, I will call you back in an hour with the details and to get the best date for you. Thank you.

I hope this helps everyone. It's a great unit activity for a unit meeting have them bring the names and numbers of some past hostess and have them call give them some sort of prize for booking the most.

Open House Ideas

Motivate the old hostesses of last year to do it again. Have a spring theme.

For beauty consultants - the theme could be: "Mother Nature is showing her new colors - now it's your turn."

For crafters/decorators - "With your spring cleaning - how about a fresh new look?"

For food/cooking people - "Mother Nature is cooking up something good - so are we, come see"

For lingerie reps - "Spring is here - romance is in the air...be ready and don't play fair"

Monday Bookathon

For my post I would like to let you all know that I have decided to organise myself a little more. I have now designated Mondays as 'party booking day'. Every monday from now on I will creatively book 4 parties into my calander- and I will do nothing else until I get my 4 bookings. Email Ann

Jess' Ideas

1. Take 7 - 10 flyers, hole punch the corners, and tie them up with curling ribbon, and hang them from the bulletin boards or phone polls where others hang their yard sale signs. Tons of people view those places on an average, nice weekend, and some may want or need TW.

2. Do the same as above, and carry a pack or two in your car with you. On plain white paper (or make it up on your computer) make a flyer that says "Tupperware's here for you - Take one, they're FREE!" When you go to the mall, place the flyer in your car window, and hang the flyers with ribbon from your antenna or roll the ribbons up into your window so the flyers hang from the outside of your car. Easily removed when you are driving, take no time at all to place out when you go to the grocery store, the mall, the park, or anywhere your car will be parked in a crowded parking lot for more than 5 minutes.

3. If you are a car driving manager, place a sign in the back window of your car that reads "THIS CAR WAS FREE!!!! ASK ME HOW YOU CAN HAVE ONE, TOO!!" You'd be amazed at how many people will honk and hunt you down to ask you how you got a free car.

4. Never leave home without monthly flyers. And never leave a place or area without leaving at least 5 behind. Whether you hand them out personally, or place them on BB, in empty shopping carts at the grocery store (where they pile them up for new customers going in), on car windshields, r anywhere you can possibly think of. The only way to find new customers is to LOOK. And to look, you need to be OUTSIDE your home!!

S'More

Regardless of what company you represent, put a S'MORE BAG or Box together: Box or package of Graham Crackers, Bag of Marshmellows and a chocolate bar. Put this bag or box (decorate as desired, but let the contents be visible) on your display table at your demonstrations. Usually someone will ask (especially if your product is not food related) what the bag is all about.

Announce that this is S'MORE WEEK. Ask everyone if they'd like: S'MORE MONEY
S'MORE TIME
S'MORE FUN
S'MORE PRODUCTS.

This will be a fun transition in to your product and/or business opportunity. For a more visual effect, actually take 2 graham squares out, representing you and the future customer/consultant. Let her know that you are a great service person/leader and want to "stick together" with her in servicing/teaching her. This represents the marshmellow and the chocolate chips can be what ever you choose (compensation plan, gift program, etc.)

Another TWIST is to carry this S'MORE Bag/Box everywhere you go to attract attention, sales, and recruits!

This is a fun attention-getter that will take the focus off why they say NO and show the fun reasons WHY summer is a HOT time to work and play together!!
