Change Rooms

I had this new ponderment. Everytime i go to the mall i always end up going into the bathroom to change my daughters diaper. well the diaper changing areas in most of the dept stores are often in a lounge area set up for nursing moms. so since i keep catalogs in my diaper bag i often slip a catalog onto a table or couch as i change my daughters diaper. I really started this last week so i will know how well it works shortly. This works particularly well for discovery toys and other kid related stuff but should work well for any catalog really when you think about it. if they dont read it while nursing it may peak thier intrest and they may take it with them when they leave

Nursing Homes

I don't know how many direct sales companies this can work for, but I know it works for mine.
If you have a nursing home in your area, you might want to go there and hand out your catalogs WHILE DONATING YOUR TIME to spend with these elderly folks. If you leave a catalog at the receptionist's desk there's bound to be either employees looking at it OR family members and friends who come to visit these folks on a regular basis. Hec, even volunteers will see them in the breakroom. But, even the folks in the nursing home want some of the products for family members or even themselves. I donate time to a local alzheimer's nursing home and have left some catalogs there. My toys also help to keep their patient's mind busy at times so the company may even buy toys to put in ALL of their facilities. Just a little "perk" for the elderly...
I either give them a discount when they purchase (because we all know these poor people do not have much money) items from me OR I offer to pay for the shipping and handling. Then I have it shipped to my place so that I may be the one to deliver it to them and then spend some time with them while they marvel over their new purchase. These people just want attention as much as our kids do so, don't just go there to drop off their stuff and leave. It's amazing how many friends you make really fast! :) Hope that was a good enough idea for you all.

Flyers I have been doing a lot of leaving my flyers everywhere. Everytime I take a different route, I leave the flyer in newspaper boxes. I am in a small rural area. I leave them in restaurants, any store that has a bulletin board and I leave brochures in Hospital waiting rooms , laundry mats, vets office, doctors office, and beauty shops. I am trying to leave lead boxes at at least 4 places per month , and then do a drawing from them. I go to a different small town each week or two , run ads in their local paper, and go to the different malls and if the possibility arises, I introduce myself and leave a brochure , with the people. I still am a firm believer that Parties are your best advertisement , but some people need a start somewhere. I also sit up at my yard sales(not to sell) but to try and get bookings. Many of my downline have been very successful at setting up at fairs and home shows. Anything to get your product in front of the people. Works for me! Kaye

I also offer a free product of their choice to people who take the brochures and get orders from their friends, family, coworkers. Wherever I go I hand out brochures, Dentist, Doctor, School, Church Functions, Birthday Parties, Weddings, Craft Shows, Grouchy Store, Library, Hair and Nail Salons, just everywhere there are women to be found. ha!
