The river of filth

Verse 1: Stuck in a sinking boat you row as hard as you can to keep a float. The shore’s always out of your grasp, as you watch the shitty clouds roll past.

Verse 2: Other’s struggles long since over their withered corpses rush by with the water. Everyday is the same fucking task, to make up for last nights rest you paddle twice as fast.

Verse 3: It started out as a fun little trip, it grew into a fucking pit, that swept you into this infinite mess. Now you beg God every day to let you rest.

Chorus: This river kills everyday, from far away it looks great. A snaking peaceful blue ravine, You all got caught up in the dream.

But now you can’t turn back, Your pretty river is now black. You accept the cards you’re dealt, and take your eternal place in the river of filth.
