~The Crazy Rainbow Child~
Hi...Welcome to the first part of the
venture thru the Rainbow's End...Yup,
that's me up there..and if you're
computer starts spitting and sputtering,
don't worry, it's just the pic causing
your harddrive to crash.
Ok,
here's where I tell you that I was born
and raised in Southern California, then
left that concrete jungle to live in the
beautiful Great Northwest. My first
stop was Washington, but couldn't find a
decent job there, so I moved to Idaho.
Now, for those of you who don't know it,
IDAHO IS NOT JUST POTATOES!! I live in
the beautiful mountains of Northern
Idaho, lots of lakes and pine trees and
just all around beautiful stuff. It's
green year round, with spring bringing
the ultra-bright colors of all the new
vegetation, and winter shining bright
with the white snow.
I've been
up here since 1995, love it more than I
ever thought I would, and plan on living
here the rest of my life...unless love
or money tears me away, and I don't see
that happening anytime soon, so the
locals are stuck with me!!!
I
currently share my life with three
Monsters....Toonce, the Terminal
Teenager.....Cheezer, the Orange
Cut-the-Cheese Cat....and KC, the little angel KittyCat.
They get along together very well, but
I learned how NOT an angel KC can be one
day when I brought home another kitten
when I thought Cheezer had run away...KC
did not act like a little lady at all,
and got swatted often for attacking ME.
Maybe someday I'll be able to bring
another live animal into the house, but
I'll have to chain the little monster up
first!
Besides my Monsters,
there's one other thing in life that I'm
a TOTAL FANATIC about, and that's RAINBOWS!! There is nothing
like the sight of a rainbow, bright and
full of color, to brighten your day. My
world is full of them...my house is full
of rainbows, from tie-dyed clothes to
stainglass window art...I drive the Rainbowmobile...and my
favorite color is, of course, the
rainbow.
When I was living in
Southern California, I would frequent
Sea World of San Diego, and play with
the dolphins...or venture out to
the mountains or desert just to get away
from the hustle and bustle. And
although I couldn't imagine living
anywhere else while I was there, now I
can't imagine going back. Idaho is
God's Country at it's BEST!
The
job I have tells me that Idaho is a
great place to live everyday...I'm a 911
DISPATCHER for police, fire and medical
emergency services, and we're so busy
with recreational calls everyday...you'd
be surprised just how many ways people
can hurt themselves up here!! Yea, we
have our share of dirtbags and
drughouses, and my guys take care of
them nicely too, but just the variety of
things to do up here is amazing to me.
And even though we're busy at work, the
atmosphere here is one that if I didn't
work in the industry I do, I wouldn't
think that crime ever occured
here...it's so peaceful and
non-traumatic like big city life can be,
and although I didn't see So Cal as big
city it has been such an awesome change
for me.
Well, enough about me and
my ramblings, let's get on with it.....
