The Frateris Militia have to be the most versatile miniatures that Citadel has made for 40K in years. They could be average citizens, rebels, settlers, brood brothers, cultists, and the list goes on. They are a little cheaper than most Citadel minis, though you only get four different positions. The three shown about are all simple convertions of mine.

The fellow in the middle is the rebel hero Kyle Stockton. He was just another miniature until one game in which he distinguished himself. His squad became engaged in hand to hand combat with a squad of imperial guardsmen. The whole rebel squad was killed except Kyle who stood his ground even when surrounded. Kyle fought on, swing his trusty shotgun like a club in the tight melee. When it was all over Kyle had dispatched more than half a dozen opponents and single handedly held the entire right flank.
