CLAIM TO Belle 3rd Place Position
of the
NORTHEAST REGION CHAMPIONSHIPS
Explanation
Since the Timmins Junior Team (we played in the Belle Division)
finished 1st in the "A" Pool and lost only one (1) game in the tournament
(the Semi-Finals to Timmins Belles)
we hereby claim 3rd place of the Belle Division
at the
Northeast Regional Championships.
Unfortunately,
a bronze medal game
between the two losers of the Semi-Finals
was not in the plans at the tournament
and a true bronze medalist was not determined.
The bronze medal game would have been
between
the Timmins Junior Team and the Sault Ste. Marie Belles.
Since Sault Ste. Marie Belles
lost two (2) games in the tournament,
and we only lost one (1) game, we lay claim
to the
"unofficial 3rd place position".
