This website is dedicated to the absolutely brilliant fantasy series by George R. R. Martin ... "A Song Of Ice And Fire." I love fantasy and I've read a lot, but so far no novel I've ever read holds a candle to "A Game Of Thrones" or "A Clash Of Kings". The plots are superb, there is intrigue within intrigue on every level and the characters are incredible. And just when you would bet all your hard earned money that this would happen, Martin surprises you with something completely different. If you're a fantasy fan and you haven't read ... sorry ... devoured this series yet, you're definitely out of it.

Trust me: This series is the shit ... the only thing wrong with it is that it's not complete and I'm doomed to waiting impatiently for the next installment, A Storm Of Swords. Despite Martin's economy with words, the images the few words bring up are so vivid that I can easily imagine myself as a character living in Westeros ... probably a Lord surrounded by the pageantry, intrigue, beauty, sensuality and brutality of that world. In fact, while I was reading A Clash Of Kings, I couldn't help creating a House of my own ... with its own Lords and rich (I think) history: The Kanyles of The Blackthorn.
