Evert's Obituary:

Death: Everett Van Curen, who lived near Wooster, was born October 22, 1815 in Onondoga Co.,New York. He came to Logan Co.,Ohio in 1838 and was married to Eliza Hoover and in the same year moved to Kosc. Co. where he lived ever since. Of this union one son, Peter H. was born. His subsequently died and he was married in 1879 to Mary Hover, who survives. To them one daughter was born, Maggie M. VanCuren and both childern are living. Mr VanCuren united with the Presbyterian Church in Warsaw Dec.22, 1844 and has for some years been the oldest member of the church. He raised to maturity three childern other than his own. He died Aug 19, 1891 of a short illness caused by a stroke of paralysis Vancuren, Everett d. Aug. 19, 1891, Wooster, Ind. b. 22 Oct, 1815, Onondago Co.,NY m. 1840 to Eliza Hover. Survivors: son;(1st marriage) Peter H. Vancuren. Dau.:2nd. marriage Maggie M.. Funeral held at the U> B> Church in Pierceton, IN, where he was buried, Aug. 20th. Rev. J>Q> Hall, pastor of the Presbyterian Church in Warsaw, officiated. Member of the Presbyterian Church, in Warsaw since Dec. 22,1844. Arrived in Logan Co.,OH in 1838 and in Kosciusko Co, IN in 1840. He was one of the Pioneers of this part, Wooster area, of Kosc. Co. Raised 3 childern, not his own. Lived in the same house for 50 years, where he died. He was the oldest member of the Presbyterian Church, he joined Dec,22,1844
