Hi;
I know I haven't included everyone in this message, so if you notice a family member who has e-mail is missing,
please forward it to them.

Reunion plans are progressing nicely.  But, I desperately need a confirmation for the number of dinners I need to
order.  Please contact your family, and any guests that may be coming for dinner and send me a count.  I have
given the restaurant a tentative of 125 and I can change that up or down.  but, if I wait too long to go down, we'll
have to pay for those extra meals.

Friday evening we will have food in the hall as people arrive.  Some people are coming on Thursday to help us
move the refrigerators in and set up the "kitchen" on Friday.  If you need to go into the campground on Thursday
night, it is okay.  But if you use the hookups, I will collect for an extra night.  I plan to do this, since we don't want
to have to move our trailer on Friday.

We are bringing in sodas, Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Mt. Dew and Sprite (I think) that will be in a dispenser.  If you want
other types of drinks, please bring some in and some to share.  We will also have beer kegs, with a donation kitty
on the side for those who care to imbibe.

Food on Friday is pot luck.  You don't have to tell me what you're bringing, but here is what I know of already:
Beans, A  whole turkey, Sweet and Sour meatballs; salads, fresh fruit; Rice. Fried Chickn; and there will be bread
for sandwich makings.  We will have at least two refrigerators, maybe three, so if you are bringing things that
need to be kept cool we will accomodate you, or find room in an RV fridge.

I am attaching the current copy of the Family Tree.  Please update it and send your corrections to Dan Velasquez
dan-velasquez@worldnet.att.net or provide your input at the family reunion.  Dan will have his computer, and a
printer there, so all updates can be input and then printed out or sent to you via e-mail.  If you get the corrections
to him prior to his leaving home, it will already be done.

We have been  getting recipes to Rob  Velasquez.  It looks like the cookbook is going to be great.  If we have
missed your recipe, I'm sorry, but remember it for next time.  Bring copies of your favorite recipes that didn't get
into the book to share.  We will try to get them copied and distributed, too.

Tonia is working on the "Family Store" idea, to see crafty things we have come up with.  I hear that there are a lot
of wonderful things that will be up for sale.

The family quilt is really a diverse piece of work.  There were so many wonderful ideas for quilt blocks.  Evelyn
Long and her daughter Gail Ioane are helping get the top together so we will have it to put on the frame on Friday
night and quilt it through-out the reunion.  It will be auctioned off on Sunday Morning, at the family meeting.

When you get to the reunion hall, please check in.  We will have name badges you may purchase $1, or name
tags, so we can know who you are.  Please sign in and we will verify what you have paid, how many for dinner on
Saturday.  If you have provided food please tell Theressa Henscheid and/or Grace Velasquez.  If you haven't met
them yet, this is a great opportunity to do so.

A tenetative schedule of events includes, but is not limited to:  Get-together, Food, Quilt, etc. on Friday Evening.
We are hoping you music-makers will come prepared!

Saturday morning, Continental Breakfast in the Hall.  I have two big coffee pots, so we should be able to provide
coffe, regular and decaf. for everyone.  (I still need sweet rolls, juice, etc. or whatever for that meal.)  A visit to the
cemetary for our memorial service about 10 A.M.  We are hoping those coming in on Saturday will be able to get
here in time for this event.  Last time it was the highlight of the reunion for most of us.

How to cure your molcajete, salsa making, tortilla making contest, judging and then use the products for lunch
along with (cold cuts, fruit, etc. also left-overs from Friday night)

Sat. afternoon, crafts, games:  volleyball, horseshoes, holey boards, bocci ball, baseball....

Classes willl include:  Scrapbooking, New Ways to Treasure Old Keepsakes (Deedee Yocum) and
How to make Dreamcatchers (Kathy Velasquez).

In addition we will have an Acupuncture demonstration by Dawn Mosby Margowski.

Dinner, is about 7 P.M. catered.

Music, dancing, and whatever else comes to mind for after dinner.

Sunday Morning, pancake breakfast provided by the Don Velaquez family, and whomever else would like to help.

The family meeting will start about 10:30 a.m. and include prizes, formal recognition of those who have made major
achievements in the last five years.  It will also include the finalizing of sales from the crafting arena and the
auction of the family quilt.

I still have one or two campsites available.  Let me know if you need one and just forgot to let me know.

Especially, if your family doesn't have e-mail, please contact them and have them let me know if they are coming.
I will be leaving Island Park on Thursday morning the 15th.  Call me at 208-558-7890 up to that time.  After that
you can call Theressa Henscheid on 208-436-9014.

As you can tell, I'm worried about not having enough dinners ordered for Saturday.  If you are coming at other
times, but not for the Saturday meal, that's okay, too.  We want to see everyone.

Thanks for all the help.
