The game is pretty much the same as the the show except as ash u go out to beat your rival gary and fulfill your dreams of becoming a pokemon master and brock and misty are gym trainers and do not come with you. To start off with your get to chose from bulbasaur squirtle and charmander. I recommend bubasaur and squirtle as they are much easier to beat brock with.
Nintendo is releasing it's first pokemon games for nintendo 64 in North America it looks like it will be pokemon stadium 2 this game will feature all 150 pokemon with a whole bunch of games to play besides battling. The second game will be pokemon snap which will feature snap from the episode "pokemon papparazzi" the mission of this game is to take as many pictures of pokemon and fill up your photo album.
