(Aaron Carter Interview, August 22, 1998)

Rachel: SO YOU CAN SEE ALL THE FANS OUTSIDE, WAITING TO GET A LOOK AT AARON CARTER COMING AROUND, AND HERE WE ARE... AARON CARTER.

Aaron: HELLO.

Rachel: HOW'S IT GOING, AARON?

Aaron: PRETTY GOOD.

Rachel: SO HOW ARE YOU ENJOYING THE TOUR?

Aaron: IT'S REALLY GREAT.

Rachel: IS IT?

Aaron: IT'S REALLY WONDERFUL.

Rachel: ARE YOU GETTING MORE COMFORTABLE BEING ON STAGE?

Aaron: YEAH, YEAH. TODAY IS KIND OF WEIRD BECAUSE WE'RE DOING TWO CONCERTS.

Rachel: TWO. YOU ALREADY DID ONE OR IT'S IN A LITTLE WHILE --

Aaron: NO, I ALREADY DID ONE, ABOUT AN HOUR AGO, AND WE'RE GETTING READY TO DO ONE IN ABOUT TWO HOURS AT LEAST.

Rachel: AND YOU HAVE DANCERS, TOO, DON'T YOU?

Aaron: YEAH.

Rachel: WHAT ARE THEIR NAMES?

Aaron: DARRYL AND KEITH.

Rachel: AND THEY'RE GOOD?

Aaron: YEAH.

Rachel: DO YOU DANCE, TOO?

Aaron: UH-HUH. YEAH, WE DANCE AT THE SAME TIME.

Rachel: CAN YOU SHOW ME SOME MOVES?

Aaron: YEAH. BUT YOU HAVE TO GET UP, TOO.

Rachel: I HAVE TO GET UP, TOO, OKAY.

Aaron: NOW GO LIKE THIS...

Rachel: OKAY.

Aaron: NOW GO LIKE THIS...BUT JUST MOVE YOUR ARMS.

Rachel: OKAY.

Aaron: NOW, PUT YOUR LEFT FOOT OUT... NOW PUT YOUR RIGHT FOOT OUT, BACK IN... NOW PUT YOUR LEFT FOOT IN THE FRONT AND NOW BRING IT BACK IN...

Rachel: OKAY.

Aaron: LEFT FOOT... BRING IT BACK IN. THEN GO ONE, TWO... ONE...

Rachel: YOU'RE WAY BETTER AT THIS THAN ME! (Laughing)

Aaron: ONE, TWO... ONE, TWO...

Rachel: OKAY.

Aaron: NOW GO AROUND.

Rachel: OKAY. THAT'S GOOD.

Aaron: THREE, FOUR, FIVE, SIX...

Rachel: YOU'RE WAY BETTER AT THAT! (Applause)

Aaron: NOW DO THE WHOLE DANCE.

Rachel: I CAN'T. I CAN'T. I'M NOT GOOD AT DANCING.

Aaron: THAT'S CALLED THE SHAKE IT.

Rachel: WHAT SONG DO YOU DO THAT TO? EVERYTHING OR DO YOU HAVE A SPECIFIC SONG YOU DO THAT WITH?

Aaron: SPECIFIC SONG. WE ACTUALLY DID TWO SONGS TODAY BUT WE MIGHT ADD ANOTHER, EXTRA SONG.

Rachel: SO YOU DO QUITE A FEW COVER TUNES. IS THERE ANYBODY ELSE THAT YOU REALLY LIKE THAT YOU WOULD -- BECAUSE I KNOW YOU LIKE THE SPICE GIRLS. DO YOU WANT TO COVER A SPICE GIRLS' SONG?

Aaron: NO!

Rachel: HOW WAS THE SIGNING YESTERDAY? YOU WENT TO ERIN MILLS TOWN CENTRE...

Aaron: IT WAS CROWDED. I GOT 18 BEANIE BABIES.

Rachel: 18 BEANIE BABIES. DO YOU HAVE A COLLECTION?

Aaron: NOW I HAVE 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25... 26. I'VE GOT 26 OF THEM NOW.

Rachel: HANG ON TO THEM BECAUSE THEY COULD BE WORTH MONEY. WE'RE GOING TO LOOK AT THE SIGNING FROM ERIN MILLS ON THE VIDEO RIGHT NOW. LET'S CHECK IT OUT.

The Crowd: AARON! GO, AARON! GO, AARON! (Screaming)

HE'S JUST REALLY CUTE! HE REMINDS ME SO MUCH OF HIS BROTHER NICK. I'M NOT TRYING TO COMPARE THEM BUT... YOU KNOW, HE'S JUST -- YOU JUST CAN'T GET OVER HIM. JUST LOOK AT HIM!

Rachel: THAT LOOKS LIKE FUN. LOOKS TOTALLY LIKE FUN.

Aaron: IT WAS FUN.

Rachel: THE CAMERA IS OVER THERE. ARE YOU HANDLING THE FANS, KID -- WHICH CAMERA ARE WE LOOKING AT?

Aaron: THAT ONE... THAT ONE... THAT ONE! ALL OF THEM.

Rachel: DOES IT MAKE YOU FEEL FUNNY THAT PEOPLE RECOGNIZE YOU WHERE YOU GO?

Aaron: WELL, I DON'T REALLY THINK IT'S FUNNY.

Rachel: NO? DO YOU LIKE IT?

Aaron: IT'S VERY FUN.

Rachel: YEAH, IT'S FUN.

Aaron: IT'S VERY FUN WHEN THEY SCREAM AND ALL... (Screaming)

Rachel: WHAT ABOUT YOUR FRIENDS BACK HOME? ARE THEY HAPPY FOR YOU? DO THEY STILL TALK TO YOU?

Aaron: YEAH, THEY'RE VERY -- THEY LIKE WHAT I'M DOING. THEY SAY, "WOW! YOU'RE PRETTY GOOD." I SAY, "THANK YOU."

Rachel: DO YOU EVER GET TO GO OUT AND DO STUFF WITH YOUR FRIENDS OR IS IT HARD FOR YOU TO GO OUT?

Aaron: NO, IT'S NOT HARD. NOT -- WELL, IT'S GETTING KIND OF HARD WHEN I GO OUT. JUST A LITTLE BIT BUT NOT TOO MUCH. I'M USED TO SAYING -- WHEN I SAY THANK YOU, I BOW BECAUSE -- YOU KNOW, WHEN I DO THAT, YOU KNOW HOW JAPANESE... I WAS OVER IN JAPAN FOR LIKE A LONG TIME, LIKE ALMOST TWO MONTHS, AND I'M USED TO GOING "THANK YOU"... (Bowing and speaking in Japanese)

Rachel: YOU SPEAK SOME JAPANESE?

Aaron: A LITTLE BIT.

Rachel: THAT'S GOOD. WE'RE GOING TO SEE YOUR VIDEO, YOUR "SURFING U.S.A." VIDEO. DO YOU KNOW HOW TO SURF?

Aaron: I DO KNOW HOW TO SURF.

Rachel: YOU DO KNOW HOW TO SURF. THAT'S REALLY HARD TO KNOW.

Aaron: NO, IT'S NOT REALLY HARD, I DON'T THINK.

Rachel: NO? WELL, I GUESS YOU KIND OF GREW UP IN THAT SCENE. WE'RE GOING TO CHECK OUT YOUR VIDEO. THANKS A LOT, AARON.

Aaron: THANK YOU.

Rachel: MY PLEASURE. WAVE TO THE FANS! (Screaming) (Playing video)
