Dedication: Happy sixth birthday TPFICT! *Huggles all around.* Rating: PG/PG-13 for language and dark themes. Author's Notes: Hi! In honor of the TPFICT's birthday, I've decided to come out of hiding and post a few stories hidden away on my hard drive. Most of the aforementioned stories will be for the Forever Tomorrow Universe. As Michele has already mentioned with her previous posting of "Rescued," we've decided to post the FT stories we have completed as the universe has more or less come to a stand-still at the moment. We are not ruling out the possibility of continuing the universe but with other projects pulling at us, it would be unfair to continue to hold back in hopes that we will find ourselves returning for a massive FT writing session. (Hopes that made sense... Never can tell these days ^_-) This story may contain minor FT spoilers but nothing that should be too unexpected. Context within the FT timeline: This story takes place in December 1999. It was to be part of a larger story in which the Tomorrow People and the Immortals faced their greatest challenge yet -- the demon god Ahriman. For those of you who have watched Highlander, this will sound familiar. The original plan was to rewrite those episodes and fit them into the context of FT. It is now unlikely that the larger story will be completed. However, this vignette (originally a chapter in the story) serves as a stand-alone work. It can be read as an independent work, focusing on two of the characters in the FT universe and the effect a startling set of revelations has on their relationship. It would help if you are familiar with the Highlander two-parter, "Comes a Horseman" and "Revelations 6:8" but it isn't necessary to have seen those episodes to follow this.
