The soft melodic singing of tiny birds
The delicate wings of moth and fly
The blessed assurance of spring in the air
The colorful flowers and blue clouds on high

Amid nature's gifts strode a man with a dog
A tall handsome blonde with a smile
And though his blind eyes couldn't see the spring
His keen sense said to linger a while

For Easter is the time of rebirth and renewal
When mother earth emerges from her sleep
And the cold winter air has to finally yield
To the promise of spring's warm leap

The blind man's sight wasn't restored for long
But he remembered what mattered most
Was not what he could see with his eyes
But what he felt in his heart, and had hope

Easter is the time for rebirth and renewal
And as Virgil Adamson knew well
Keeping the faith and believing in yourself
Is what sustains you through heaven or hell

Easter is not about baskets or brand new clothes
Nor about yellow chicks or the rabbits
Easter is the promise of life over death
And keeping the the holy day sabbath

Remember Val fans, Who loves us all
Who has blessed us with life and health
and remember that Val also bends his knees
and thanks the Great Spirit himself

Easter is the time of rebirth and renewal
It's a special, holy time of the year

I wish for you time spent with your loved ones
Have a wonderful, blessed Easter this year.

HERE COMES PETER COTTONTAIL
(The Pacific Tech rendition)

Oh, here come Peter Cottontails,
sneaking down the campus trial,
hippity....hopp..ing.....hop....
...scared but on their way.

They’re bringing every girl and boy
Easter baskets they’ll destroy,
and Easter will explode
and ric..ric..ricochet.

They’ve got jelly beans for Ichy,
colored eggs that Kent will boo,
There’s a chickie just for Mitchie,
and he keeps Jordan too.

Oh, here come Peter Cottontails,
skulking down the old lab trial,
hippity...hopp...ing....hop
...afraid they’ll rue the day.

When they wake up after Easter,
They’ll for sure know they were there,
when they look ‘round at each other...
on Chris’s feet there is pair! Of hares!

Oh, there go Peter Cottontails,
shuffling down the classroom trial,
flippity, flopping
Frightful Easter Day!
