Alexis opened her eyes and found herself in a strange place. She looked around and then realized she was in Taylor's room. She looked to her left. There was Taylor, sound asleep. 'He looks so cute when he's sleeping.' she thought. She brought her fingers to his cheek and rubbed it gently so he'd wake up. Taylor opened his eyesand smiled when he saw her. He looked around. They were still on the floor. They had been sleeping while leaning back against Taylor's bed. His arm was around her shoulders. Then Alexis remembered. She had gotten cold, so Taylor got a blanket and wrapped it around them. Then they had cuddled for a while before falling asleep. As she looked at him, she saw he was also thinking about that. "I guess your dad let you sleep in here instead of in the guest room." Taylor said as he sat up and stretched. She nodded. Suddenly Zac bounced into the room. "Hi lovebirds. What'd ja do last night?" Then he winked at Taylor. "Nothing, we watched a movie." Taylor replied. Alexis noticed his cheeks were slightly pink. Zac nodded. "Uh huh, whatever." Then they all heard Isaac waking up. "Zac, where's Taylor? I want to scream at him for yesterday. All I dreamed about was him and Alexis, and he was laughing at me." Isaac hadn't gotten up from under the covers so he didn't notice Alexis. "Gee, I don't know where he is. Maybe he went for a romantic walk with Alexis." Zac was beet red from trying not to laugh. Isaac got up quickly. "He better not. I'll kill him if he..." he noticed Alexis and Taylor sitting on the floor. Alexis was trying, unsucessfully, not to laugh, and Taylor and Zac were rolling on the floor, laughing. Isaac was standing next to the bunk bed, dressed only in boxers, his mouth hanging open. He grabbed his blanket from his bed and quickly wrapped it around his waist. Then he glared at his brothers. "Why didn't you tell me she was here?" he yelled at them. They only laughed harded. Alexis grinned at him. "It's okay Ike. I think your pink boxers are very cute." And with that, she, Zac, and Taylor started laughing. Isaac hurried out of the room and into the bathroom. He looked really upset. Alexis immidiately stopped laughing. "You guys, lets stop. He's really embarrased. I feel bad." "Don't. He'll get over it." Zac said, still rolling on the floor. Taylor had calmed down. "Your right. He already wants to kill me. This is just making it worse." Zac got up and stopped laughing. "I'm going downstairs for breakfast. See ya." He left the room. There was an uncomfortable silence. "So," Alexis spoke up. "I guess I'll go change and stuff." "Okey dokie."Taylor said in a silly voice. Alexis walked.'Man, I've really got it bad for Taylor.' she realized, her heart racing.
Chapter Twelve--Taylor
As he watched Alexis leave, he felt his pulse start to return to normal. He took off the maroon Adidas shirt he had slept in and was searching through his dresser for a nice shirt to wear. "Ahem." He heard clear their throat behind him. He looked over at where the voice came from. Alexis was standing there. "Hey, sorry for just walking in, but I left my shoes in here." She pointed to the blue and brown VANS that lay at his feet. He picked them up and walked over to her. He stood real close to her. "Here ya go." he whispered, handing the shoes to her. Their faces were inches apart, within kissing range. Alexis took her shoes, then looked into his eyes. He reached and pushed a few strands of hair away from her face. 'Go for it!' he thought. Then he leaned in and kissed her. he put his arms around her and he noticed she was shaking. He quickly pulled away. She looked extremely surprised that he had kissed her. "Hey, was, was that okay? I mean, that I kissed you?" he asked her nervously. He started to wonder if she liked him. "No, I mean, yeah. I just didn't expect it." she replied. "Now you can expect it." he said softly and he kissed her again. Even though she was still holding her shoes, she put her arms around his neck.
"WHOA!"
Taylor and Alexis broke apart and spun around. Zac, Isaac, and their four year old sister, Avery, were standing there, gaping at them. "Tay, jeez, no shirt. You move fast!" Zac said. Avery giggled. "No, it's not what it looks like. I mean, we, I, we...." he trailed off, trying to think of a good excuse.
"We know. She couldn't breathe so you had to give her mouth-to-mouth." Zac smirked. Taylor noticed Isaac was glaring at him. 'If looks could kill.......' he thought nervously. Avery and Zac skipped out of the room and downstairs. The whole way, Avery was chanting "Taylor kissed Alexis, Taylor kissed Alexis,....."
The next part of the story accidentally got deleted. I will have it up later on tonight. It basically is Tay and Ike fighting over Alexis. I starts back here.
"Boys, boys, what's going on here?" their mother and their other sister, Jessica, who was six, came into the room. They ignored her. "You're such an asshole! I wish you weren't my brother." "Clarke Isaac Hanson! You watch your mouth.' Diana said. "You too, Jordan. Especially around your sister. Now, what are you fighting about?"
"Ike's being a jerk. He's mad because he caught me and..." he stopped. He didn't want to tell his mom that he was kissing Alexis. He didn't feel comfortable telling his parents that kind of thing.
"Me, Zac, and Avie caught him and Alexis kissing in here. And wearing no shirt."
Diana looked up. "Why wasn't Alexis wearing a shirt?" she asked sharply. "No, not her. Me. She came in when I was changing. And he's just mad because Alexis likes me and not him."
Diana realized that her sons both had big crushes on Alexis. "Well, SHE will choose who she wants. And no more fighting. End of discussion." She took Jessica by the hand and walked out of the room. Jessica was still looking at them over her shoulder.
Taylor looked at Isaac. They both realized that fighting was childish. Taylor was thirteen and Isaac was fifteen. It was the sort of thing nine year old Zac would do, even though he didn't like girls. They were old enough to talk it over. "Listen man," Isaac said, running a hand through his hair, "I'm sorry. I just really liked her. And, well, I knew she liked you, so I was upset. Friends again?" he held out his hand. "Yeah. I'm sorry for saying those things. I mean, I really like Alexis too."
Isaac nodded. "I won't try anything now. You can go out with her." he grinned."You now have my permission."
Chapter Thirteen--Isaac
Isaac and Taylor headed downstairs. Isaac felt kinda better now that he talked to Taylor and his mom. 'What was I thinking. She's perfect for him. They're both thirteen and I'm fifteen.' He and Taylor sat down at the table for breakfast. Everyone except Alexis were there.
"Hey, where's Alexis?" he asked.
"It's not my fault!" Zac cried out suddenly. Everyone turned to look at him. "What are you talking about?" his father asked Zac.
"I was talking to her about a movie that was coming out. It's called 'It Takes Two', and it's about these twins that..."
"Did you say twins?" Alexis's father cut in. Zac nodded. "Yeah, and when I mentioned it, she ran outside. She looked really upset. but I didn't do anything!"
"It's okay Zac. Let me explain. She has a twin sister, Heather. They were split up when her mother and I got a divorceand she was upset, but she soon began to forget about it. But she got reminded of her so..." Mr. Neilson was cut off. "What's a twin, daddy?" Avery asked her father. "It's when a you have a sister or brother that looks exactly like you." he explained. Avery's eyes got wide and she started whispering to six year old Jessica, her sister. Meanwhile, Isaac was very surprised. 'A twin. Why didn't she tell us?' "Where is she now, Zac?" Taylor asked. "I don't know. She just left." "Well, we better go find her." Walker instructed. Tay,Ike, you guys walk around here and look for her. I'll check the mall. And Bruce, you can borrow my car if you want and drive around to look for her." Mr. Neilson nodded and Walker tossed him the keys. "I'll go with you. I get to ride in the front, right?" Zac asked. Mr. Neilson nodded again. "Okay, lets meet back here in a half hour." They all split up. "Hey, Tay." "Yeah Ike?" "We should split up. It'd be easier that way." "Okay, I'll stick close to the house. She might try to find her way back home and since she doesn't quite know her way around yet, I could find her if she's close by." "See ya." Isaac jogged off to the park. 'I hope she's here.'
Chapter Fourteen--Taylor
Taylor knew exactly where to go. He headed to his backyard. His instinct told him she was there. He climbed up the steps on the side of a huge tree in their backyard. He popped his head into the treehouse that he and Isaac had built for Taylor.
Alexis was sitting in the corner, crying. She was also looking outside the rounded window, so she didn't notice Taylor come in. Her back was to him. He crawled up behind her and put his arm around her shoulders. Alexis quickly spun around. Before she could say anything, Taylor pulled her into his arms and kissed her.
Chapter Fifteen--Alexis
Alexis felt a hand rest on her shoulders. 'Oh my gosh!' she quickly spun around. Taylor was sitting next to her. She was about to say something when Taylor pulled her in for a kiss. She kissed him back. She instantly forgot her problems. After a few minutes, they finally broke apart. "Well, hi to you to." she told him, laughing. Taylor grinned, then a serious look came on his face. "Listen, your dad told us. About Heather." Alexis looked down a her feet. Tears welled up in her eyes. "I miss her so much. I mean, I talked to her the day we got here because she called, but it was only for a few minutes. And, my dad and mom. They split us up. I'm so mad they did that." She stopped and sniffed. "You probably aren't interested." "Actually, I am. I want to know all about both of you." Taylor looked straight into her eyes while saying this. "Thanks Tay." "Well, Um, I hope you don't mind me bringing this up, but...." he trailed off, blushing. "What?" "I, I haven't really, officially asked you out. So, ummm, will you go out with me?" He was blushing like crazy. Alexis giggled. "Of course, silly." Taylor looked relieved. She watched as he started winding something around his fingers. "Hey, what's that?" she asked curiously. "Huh? Oh, my tail." he held it out so she could see it. "It's a braid." she looked at him. "It's so long. You must've been growing it out for a while." He nodded. He was looking at something out the window, but Alexis didn't notice. Then he turned away and gave her a big hug. She looked surprised. He noticed the look on her face. "I just felt like it. I like giving hugs."
Then he kissed her again but soon remembered something. His father, Isaac, Mr. Neilson, Zac, and his mom were standing outside, watching them through the window. He heard his father saying something."What is he doing?! He's way to young for that. He's only thirteen." Then Alexis heard Ike cut in. "Dad, just leave them. They're okay." Alexis said a silent prayer of thanks. She knew that even though Isaac liked her, he was helping them be together. Taylor and Alexis listened as the five started talking. She and Taylor had stopped kissing, but they were still in each others arms. They didn't want to leave. Soon everyone outside left. Alexis and Taylor stayed up there for hours. Alexis talked about her and Heather and Taylor talked about his family and their band. When they left, it was late afternoon, almost evening. They hurried to Taylor's room, not wanting to be seen.
They shut the door behind them. Alexis noticed Isaac first. "Hi Ike." she said softly. He waved and pretended to turn back to a comic book he was reading, but Alexis knew he was staring at her. "Hey, uh, thanks for helping us." Taylor told him. Isaac nodded. "Hey, could you tell mom and dad that me and Alexis are going out to grab a bite to eat? We were gonna leave a note, but since you're here....." Isaac put down the comic. "I'll tell them. Have a great time." He gave them a warm smile. "Lex, I'll be out in a minute, 'k?" Alexis sensed he wanted to talk with Isaac so she agreed and slipped into the hallway.
"Listen, Ike. Well, thanks. You're a great brother. You know that?" Isaac gave him a sly grin. "Of course I know that. Everyone tells me that." Taylor threw a pillow at him on his way out.
Chapter Sixteen--Taylor
One month later, Taylor was sitting in his room, building a midevil lego castle. "Tay, I'm bored. Let's play a game or something." Taylor looked up and saw it was Zac doing the whining. "Zac, I'm busy." "Pleeeeeeeease!" he begged. Taylor rolled his eyes. "Fine. Get Ike." Zac raced out of the room in search of their older brother. He came back in a minute later, dragging confused Isaac with him. "Taylor, what is our brother smoking?" "Oh, haha. We're bored, so we want you to play truth or dare with us." Taylor smirked."No, you want to play that, squirt." "Okay, I'll go first. Taylor. Truth or dare?" Isaac asked. "I always pick truth. You know that." Isaac grinned. "How far would you go with Alexis?" The question completely caught him off gaurd. "Uh, well, I don't know. We're only thirteen." "So, name your bases." Taylor blushed. "Okay, ummm, first base is regular kissing, second base is french kissing, third is, uh, feeling each other up.."he practically whispered the last one."And fourth is,well, you know." "So how far would you go?" Isaac persisted. "It depends on what she wanted. But, I guess...." he mumbled something that Isaac and Zac couldn't make out. "What, we didn't here you?" Zac teased. He glared at him."Fine, I said third. Zac, you don't know that much. You probably just learned what bases were."
"Okay. Tay, you ask someone." Zac said, completely ignoring the comment.
"Zac, truth or dare?" "Dare." Zac immidiately replied. "I dare you to go outside, and the first girl you see, you have to kiss her." Zac grinned."You guys can watch out the window." He hurried out of the room. "I can't believe he'd actually do that! I wouldn't." Taylor told Isaac, amazed that the ten year old would go through with it. They watched as two girls that looked about fifteen walked by. Zac went over to them and planted a big kiss on the lips on the shorter girl. Then he ra back in the house. "How was that?" "You're moving fast." "Yeah, okay, I get to dare someone. Ike, truth or dare?" Taylor half listened to Ike answer his truth question. "Hey Taylor!" he heard someone calling his name, but it wasn't Ike or Zac. He saw Zac waving at someone out the window. He hurried over there.
