Major
General Amiram Levin, head of the Israel Defense
Forces'
Northern Command said that
the public debate over the IDF's presence in
Lebanon and the battle against the Hezbollah not only
did
not weaken IDF soldiers and commanders, but actually
strengthened them. "It is good to argue. We do not
have to
come to terms with the fact that katyusha missiles are
being
fired into the Galilee. However, at the same time, we
don't
have to come to terms with the price that the IDF
pays, and
therefore there is an important and legitimate
debate," he
said.
