It all started when Gavin and Nigel met talk about bands and hit it off. Together they decided to form a band. Then they recruited Dave from Transvision Vamp. And finally got Robin who replaced another drummer completeing the match. The group toured for a while and was finally signed to Trauma Records in '93. They then began recording in L.A. with Clive Langer and Alan Winstanley. Sixteen Stone was the product of this work and it was released in '94. The first single Everything Zen hit airwaves and the video was later picked up by MTV in '95. Little Things, Comedown, Glycerine, and Machinehead all followed and 16stone sold over 7 million copies. They then did thier 230show U.S. tour between Jan.'95 and May'96.
