Stabbing Westward

Stabbing Westward entered the scene with their first album UNGOD(93). After it's release Westward gathered a devoted following of fans and praise from critics. About Three years later the band has done it again. They released ten new songs on the album Wither Blister Burn+Peel.

With this release and the first single off it, What do I Have to Do, Westward's popularity continues to grow. The second single off of WBB+P, Shame, solidifies their position in the world of music.

Stabbing Westward writes all of their songs. The songs are based on real life experiences of betrayal and rejection.

The band has stayed basically the same between releases with the exception of the departure of guitarist Stuart Zechman, and David Suycott. They apparently thought that the band wasn't going places, and didn't like the plans for the band's future. After their Industrial soaked premier UNGOD Westward decided to develop their own sound, which is apparent in WBB+P. They still use a number of synthesized sounds and samples, but the actual music has a more organic and much less industrial sound to it. Westward shies away from comparisons with industrial bands.
