Third Eye Blind Biography
The first time I ever heard of Third Eye Blind was
of course that wonderful
year of 1997 when they played "Semi-Charmed Life"
over and over again. If I
didn't like it so much I would have probably been
pissed that it got so much air
play. But anyway, after I finally found out the name
of the band, I went out
and got the CD. And I immediately fell in love with
it. I have a bad habit of
buying a CD and never listening to the whole thing
but as it happened I put 3eb
in my CD player and sat on the other side of the
room and didn't feel like
turning it off, not that I needed to because I was
loving every song on the entire
album. So now I go through having a different favorite
3eb song every week or
so and just wait and wait until I get to see them
live again. "Semi-Charmed
Life", "How's It Going to Be" and "Losing A Whole
Year" get a lot of air play
around here. "Graduate" did for a while but not much
anymore. I love hearing
3eb on the radio and just the other day I noticed
that they play 3eb a lot. So
much, that if I didn't like 3eb, I'd be pissed they
play so much of it. But
obviously, that isn't the case. I suppose what I
love most about 3eb is the way
the music touches me. I know it comes from a real
place. There's something
inexplicable about it. It reaches into the depths
of your souls and touches on
your every fear and joy to the point where it hurts
so much it feels good. It
comes crashing into your life and forces your mind
to places you didn't know
existed and holds you there suspended in time feeling
every single beat. The
music has an amazing capability of capturing a certain
moment in time or the
frame of mind you were in and holds it locked in
that song so that every time
you hear it, it invades your mind and body and soul
and you can't escape it and
you know it's real and that it will forever be there.
Forever.
