I know the theatre very well because our daughter, Stacey
has made it her home away from home since she
was 8 yrs. old. She has a part in 'Every Family Has One'.
ACT is very family oriented and has lots
of fun people to spend time with.

The first show of the 1996 season started off with
a huge musical-Alice in Wonderland. We had a cast
of 25 people, lots of music and lots of costumes!!
This is my poetic dedication to that show.

ECHOS
Wonderland is over, but in your heart it will remain.
The cast, the work, the songs will always be the same.

Alice in her blue dress, the White Rabbits buck teeth.
Royalty in their flashy sequins and the Walrus' flappy feet.

Cheers to the Madhatter and his sidekick beauties March and Dor.
And who'll forget the rainbow colored Oysters like you've never seen before.

There was the Dutchess with her glass shattering note,
no wonder the Cheshire Cats grin was so easy to promote.

The Knave of Hearts just wouldn't learn as we ran
out of cookies every night.
And the Purple Lady watched from back stage out of sight.

The Butterfly all a glitter,
as she spun around the Caterpiller.

Thank goodness Humpty Dumpty didn't fall
as he argued about his cravat upon the wall.

And don't forget the pretty Flowers for they made an adorable sight,
as they kicked up their heels to cancan for the night.

The Tweedle Brothers (or sisters) in their red vests,
or was it the tri colored cap on their heads that put them to the test.

The doors were quite special for you see they had no frame,
And the table had been a music stand will all go down in fame.

The Birds with those feathers should stay flocked together as they tryed to get them dry.
With the help of Frenchmouse who bravely came out of her house but cats made her cry.

The Turtle Tango went well both on stage and back.
What was in the soup that Mock Turtle cryed over?
Maybe pepper was what it lacked.

The Seashore was grand with the Sun and Moon at hand,
but the Carpenter with bunny ears couldn't keep up with all that sand.

The Cook in all white throwing her pans at the cat or was she worried about the Knave?
The Pan and Kettle assisted with the pepper and stayed well behaved.

The director was smiling and the light man was always alert.
The drums added some humor and the pianist wanted dessert.

Music and dance came together with the help of the best,
and the cast became a team to put it all to the test.

Curiouser, and curiouser we got as audition time grew near.
And now we've all made it and time for good-byes are here.

Hats off to you all you madeWonderland for real.
Put it in your heart with a shiny red seal.

The set will be painted and the costumes will be hung in the aisle.
But the echos will say that this cast performed
Alice in Wonderland in grand style.
