Who is Howie?
By age three, Howie already loved to perform-he'd
leap onto his grandmother's bed and sing "Baby
Face," accompanying himself on a toy guitar.
Later, he sang in choirs and performed in community
theaters. Young Howie was inspired by Michael
Jackson. "He is incredibly talented," Howie says.
Howie almost chose another career. "I had an
uncle who was a doctor and my father was actually a
police officer." But when his sister introduced
him to theater "I started that someday I would be
singing live in front of big audiences," Howie
recalls. Growing up, Howie got his first taste of fame
playing a Munchkin in a production of "The Wizard
Of Oz." Later he had roles in TV commercials, a
TV pilot, and movies such as "Parent Hood" and
"Cop and A Half."
What is Sweet D *really* like? Howie is a generous
man who spends his time raising money for
charities and good causes. He decribes himself
as" an honest, sincere person who cares a lot about
other people and their feelings."
Some (okay, MANY) girls may want to know what
type of a lady Howie would like to spend the rest
of his life with. Well, he would like a girl
who would someday become his wife, and will cook him
breakfast, lunch, and his dinner! He wants bacon
and eggs...Just kidding, on the real side, Howie
prefers a girl that is warm and supportive of
his career, and who has a positive attitude towards life.
One of the most important things I think
that Howie contributed to BSB is his heritage. If it wasn't for
his love for his heritage, maybe the song
"Donde Quiaras Yo Ire" (Anywhere for You) and "Nunca
Hare llorar" would of not been made for
spanish speaking countries!!!
THANKS SO MUCH TO LISA FOR MAKING THIS HOWIE PAGE!!!
