*ding* we have someone who actually wanted to put their experience on our page. Heres Mary's review: I was with my two friends hanging around after the show and we met Ben and Chris and Sam. Well,it's actually the band members of Lit, which were doing the opening of Silverchair that night who let us in. :) Well n-e way, i'll just get to the point where we,my friends and i, met Ben. Well he was just there talking with some people, being really normal, meaning that he wasn't acting like he was a big hot shot or whatever. And he was really kind with everyone and all. And my friend, she had her tummy and breasts authographed by Lit, she made them authographed by Ben and Chris and Sam (the tour keybordist, who was really kind too :) )(ok,..that sentence sounds really weird,but i have no idea how i'm suposed to say that in good english,so i hope you all understand what i mean) Well it seemed to amuse him (Ben) very much to see Sam authograph my friend's breats. So he decided to videotape that. Then me and an other girl, we tried to get to sign his chest, but he wouldn't let us,... But it doesn't matter, he was really joyfull and all. Laughing all the time. After the concert there were about 25 people waited to meet the band...Ben was the first one out and he was very amiable and was nice enough to sign autographs and to pose for pictures. I posed with him to take a picture but the girl working the camera couldn't figure out how to take the picture, so Ben and I were standing there awkwardly for a couple minutes while all these fans were waiting impatiently. After we finally took a picture my friend Jess and I told Ben that he should sing...he asked what song, and I said Minor Threat...he just kinda made a funny face and said 'Minor Threat'. He was really nice in general and I recommend meeting him. Some chick tried to grab the beer under his arm and he said " It's non- alcoholic! ". LoL. He cracks me up.
I know most who will read this will probably think Im lying, and if I had a scanner, I would include some pictures, but I dont have one, so you'll all just have to take my word for it =D Ok, well my sister Jessie and I were walking by Bens house in Newcastle one day. We saw him come out of his house with a friend of his and they both hopped into a car. He (Ben) saw me and Jessie and he gave a smile and a wave. As they drove off, we thought "oh well, there he goes...it doesnt matter, at least we've seen him" and we headed to the Junction Fair shopping centre, which is about 5 minutes from Bens place, because we both needed to use the toilets. We went to the toilet and then started walking around the shopping centre. As we were coming around this corner, I had my head down, then all of a sudden I collided with this guy. I said "watch where you're...oh...hi..." hehe. It was Ben. He said "g'day ladies". Him and his friend then continued walking through the Junction, and we thought that we may seem quite rude, but we just HAD to follow them hehe. They went into a chemist, and as they were coming out, Jessie yelled "hey Ben! C'mere!" and he came to us. We started chatting outside the chemist. We then asked him if we could have a few photos and he said "not at the moment, but meet me at my house in half an hour". We said our goodbyes and Jessie and I bolted to his house, just incase he came back early hehe. We were near his house, waiting for him to come back, when I saw him go inside. I started yelling at Jessie: "what a bastard! He said he'd meet us here then he just pisses off inside!" and we were both really angry. Then, I hear someone scream "hey! what are you doing there?!" hehe. It was Ben, trying to scare us. I looked up and all I could see was his head poking out of a window, with this huge smile on his face. I screamed "you scared the shit outta me!" and he just laughed and said "sorry! Ill be down in a sec!" He came outside and we spoke for about 45 minutes. Then, out of the blue, he just said "so, do you girls wanna come up to the loft with me? You know, where me, Daniel and Chris rehearse?" By this time I was shocked and I just went "um...say that again?" hehe. He repeated himself and Jessie said "yeah sure! If its ok with your mum that is" Ben ran inside and asked his mum and then took us up to the loft. We had to go through his backyard and garage to get there, and in the garage there was a porno calendar, which Ben tried to cover hehe. We got up there, Ben sat on an amp and said "sit down! make yourselves cumfy" so we did. I sat in front of him and my sister sat beside me. We stayed up there, just chatting for about an hour about anything that came up. He had a lot of posters in the loft. Of Led Zep, Helmet, etc etc. He even had a Bananas in Pyjamas calendar!!! Suddenly, we heard footsteps, and it was Bens mum. She looked at us and said "uh, Ben..whats going on?" and he explained that he was just showing us around. She said there was someone downstairs to see him. Jessie gave Ben a BIG hug, and I got a great photo of it. I went to hug him and as he went to put his arms around me, he groped me...you know what I mean! Hehe. I didnt know what to make of that to be quite honest. I went to pull away but my bracelet was stuck on his shirt. I was going "shit Ben I know this sounds funny, but I cant move! Im stuck!" hehe. Jessie unhooked the bracelet and Ben walked us out. His mum was yelling "c'mon Ben!" and he was saying "shutup! Im just walking the girls out!" On the way out, Ben asked Jessie and I if we wanted to be 'flasher girls'. He said that they were girls who show their breasts, and he takes a picture of it. Jessie and I just pissed ourselves laughing and said "NO!" cos he kep saying "c'mon! Why not?" hehe. We said our goodbyes and Jessie and I went to the Junction again. We ate, then decided to see if Ben was still at home. He was. We got around the corner of his street, and he was just standing there, leaning on the fence with a pair of black sunnies on. Naturally, we spoke to him again for a while, and Jessie got a good picture of me with Bens glasses on, hugging him. We said we REALLY had to get home, so we left and went to the bus stop. We were waiting there and who should come driving past but Ben. He beeped his horn and said "get in! I'll give ya a ride!" so we did! hehe. He drove us to the station and we FINALLY left hehe. It was one of the best days of my life. Some of the things I can remember talking about with Ben were Headjobs, virginty, sex, Daniel, hair colour, his girlfriend, watches, shoes, name brands, sunnies, why he cut his hair, eye colour, The Doors, KoRn, his mum, cars....shit there was so much more!
