Episode 12
Part 1: "The Bus Boy"
Dexter is riding the bus to school. His lucky
test-taking pencil is snatched and thrown into the
back of the bus by some naughty little girls (who
also taunt him). The back of the bus is a dark,
dreaded place. Apparently, thirty years before, a
young boy went to the back of the bus (various
horror stories explain why) and never returned.
Dexter ventures in anyway, needing his trusty #2.
Part 2: The Justice Friends! "Things That Go Bonk in the Night" Kronk has spent four days watching a Puppet Pals marathon, much to the disdain of Major Glory and Val Hallen. When he finally falls asleep he has a very surreal "Puppet Pals vs. Major Glory & Val Hallen Puppets" dream, which includes Kronk in a dress.
Part 3: "Ol' McDexter" Dexter and DeeDee have a bet to see whose summer camp will be the coolest. DeeDee goes to Space Camp, Dexter thinks he is going to a high tech farm, but ends up being taken to an Amish Farm, complete with an amusing stereotypical Amish Family. Dexter longs for technology and fun.....but fits in as much as he can by wearing a cute little black Amish suit and hat.
Episode 13
Part 1: "Sassy Come Home"
The Family is going camping. Dexter and DeeDee find
a gigantic footprint causing Dexter to want to find
Bigfoot. While he searches with many things
(including his inflatable lab, "for the genius on
the go"), it is DeeDee that finds Sasquatch and
befriends him. DeeDee is dressed quite amusingly in
hiking boots and is wearing her hair in
braids.....she is basically a ditzy "Heidi". DeeDee
is running around the lab carrying scissors. Dexter
stops her and issues a warning that you shouldn't
run with scissors.....unless properly armored
against harm. So he outfits DeeDee in roboarmor and
gives her back the scissors.
Part 2: "Photo Finish" DeeDee has a new camera and takes pictures of Top Secret things in Dexter's lab. He struggles to retrieve the film from the fotomat in a great James Bond takeoff that includes an amusing russian female sidekick, scantily clad evil female henchmen, Dexter with a wetsuit on over a tux, and an over the top bad guy "Red Eye" (and even has a car reminisent of KITT from Knight Rider).
Episode 14
Part 1: Star Check
Unconventional
Butt-kickingly furious geekery! I have truly BEEN
THERE,
having worked the tables in the Golden Age of the
late
80's. Also proves the superiority of ST:TOS. A very
funny
and true episode.
Shining Moments: Too many to count!!!!
Dir: R.R.
Part 2: "Dexter is Dirty" Dexter is constantly getting dirty while conducting science and he hates having to take so many baths, sooooo he laminates himself to keep off the dirt! Many funny results occur...he cant stand up correctly, DeeDee uses him as a slide, he wrecks the house...and more! We see DeeDee in her robe, bunny slippers and towel...all fluffy pink, of course...a rather amusing sight.
Part 3: "Ice Cream Scream" Dexter wants ice cream from the ice cream man, but the truck won't stop for him. In a rather clever Road Runner/Coyote take-off, Dexter tries everything he can to get the truck to stop. We also get a glimps of the mailman.
Episode 15
Part 1:
DeeDee and Dexter discover decoder rings and secret
messages in their favorite cereals, Pony Puff Puffs
and Frosted Sugar Hanks. The messages, once decoded,
are supposed to tell them how to join the respective
fan clubs. Unfortunately, the siblings get their
messages mixed up so Dexter ends up in a pink tutu
and DeeDee is in fatigues with a tattoo! Most
amusing!
Part 2: "World's Greatest Mom" Mom accidentally gets zapped by one of Dexter's inventions and becomes SuperMom. She flies, washes hundred of dishes in the blink of an eye, and can punish the dog with just a radioactive glare and a few simple words.
Part 3:Ultrajerk 2000 Dexter builds a helpful 'droid, it takes over the lab and declares Dexter obsolete. Dee-Dee wrecks it. Note the "Praxis ring" around the robot's explosion! An average episode.
Episode 16
Part 1: "Techno Turtle"
DeeDee finds a baby turtle and thinks that it is a
baby bird that hasn't finished hatching out of its
egg (she's such a ditz....). 'Birdie' gets into an
accident and Dexter rebuilds him a la The Six
Million Dollar Man.
Dir: R.R.
Part 2: Surprise Dexter wants a Major Glory action figure {complete with clip-on cape, action head, declaration of independance and American flag} bad enough to turn himself invisble with a giant machine! He is, of course, mistaken for the Invisible Phantom by the real Ma jor Glory. Shining Moment: The commercial at the beginning Dir: R.A.
Part 3: Got Your Goat The Dex-files take on "Chupacabras", and goats everywhere bleat in fear... Should have gone a bit farther with the X-files bit. Shining moment: Flying sombrero! Dir: R.A & G.T.
Episode 17
Part 1: DeeDee Be Deep
Dee-Dee attempts to join the school choir, Dexter is
so
offended by her warbling that he augments her with
an
impressive sound amplifier. She ends up like Issac
Hayes
and joins a barbershop quartet. An average episode.
Dir: G.T.
Part 2: 911 As Action Hank prepares for the fight of his life against The Claw, The Wrecking Crew, the Black Ninja and Bertha the Barbarian, Dexter's viewing experince is blocked by the Emergency Broadcast System. He runs around solving various crises. An average episode but for Action Hank. Shining moment: The "Thunderbirds" mobile platform Dir: R.R. & G.T.
Part 3: Down in the Dumps Dee-Dee's beloved teddy bear Mr' Fuzzums is accidentally fired into a grabage truck. Dee-Dee flakes out completely and Dexter employs a cunning disguise to gain entrance to the dump. An average episode. The observant will note the graphics in the backgrou nd of this page are swiped from the beginning of this segment. Dir: R.A.
Episode 18
Part 1: "Unfortunate Cookie"
DeeDee and Dexter get stuck together in an ancient
chinese finger torture device. They try everything
in Dexter's lab to get it off, including having
monkey bite it. Finally they decide to go to
Chinatown where it was made and have them remove it.
They go through a rather interesting adventure
involving ninjas, ancient magic and delivery chinese
food to get the toy off and get home by dinner time.
Part 2: "The Muffin King" When Mom runs to the store, it is up to Dex and DeeDee to keep Dad away from her freshly made muffins. But Mom's muffins are so good that Dad will do anything to get them, including dressing in Drag! This cartoon also includes a rather cheesy Star Wars parody and a conniving squirrel.

Part 1: "Picture Day"
It is once again time to take school photos,
something DeeDee loves, and Dexter hates. He always
looks bad! (When they show his previous photos, we
find out that Dexter is now in the Fourth Grade
making him 9 or 10 years old...which is older than I
think anyone suspected. We also discover that DeeDee
is in Sixth Grade and is therefore 11 or 12.) DeeDee
decides to help him out by giving him a makeover.
Dexter, unhappy with the results, instead transforms
his face using the best elements of several top male
models. Unfortunately, the hot lights at the picture
session cause a few problems.
Part 2: "Now That's a Stretch" Dexter is frustrated at not being able to reach the things he needs, so he molecularly combines himself with a piece of chewing gum to make himself stretchy. DeeDee takes advantage of this by stretching him out of shape, rolling him into a ball and chewing him. Rather silly, really.
Part 3: "Dexter Detention" Dexter is taking a test in a class where the teacher, Ms. Whimple, absolutely adores him. The boy sitting beside him tries to cheat and ends up getting Dexter caught. Ms. Whimple, who swoons with disappointment, must send Dexter to detention. Detention is held in the basement in dungeon like room where talking is not allowed and Dexter communicates with the others using Morse Code. They manage to find a way to escape by tunneling under the floor, but accidentally tunnel into the State Prison.

Episode 21
Part 1: "Sports a Poppin'"
Dad wants Dexter to play sports, much to Dexter's
chagrin. He tries baseball, basketball, football,
golf, track, even swimming, but Dexter seems to be a
failure. DeeDee even helps out by holding the
football for Dexter to kick--an amusing take off of
Peanuts. Dexter's new skills come out though, when
he has to defeat a monster from another
dimension.
Part 2: "Koos a la Goop a Loop" The Koos is back. Weee. He tells DeeDee about the Land of Koos where he lives, and where, he says, he is king. She finds a way to get to the Land of Koos only to discover that Koos was lying. I really hope that this is the last we will see of Koos. This character is nothing but annoying.
Part 3: "Project DeeDee" DeeDee needs to do a science project about propulsion and Dexter is dying to help, but DeeDee swears she doesn't need him. This leads to a rather amusing role reversal for the two of them. It also leads to the school being in orbit and Dex and DeeDee being on the run.
