AAA From Matamoros, Tamaulipas, taped about 6 weeks ago.

***Vipers:Abismo Negro, Psicosis, Maniaco and Histeria vs Furia Norteņa:Panther(not Blue Panther), Sanguinario, Jerry estrada and Maravilla.- I guess Furia N is like a branch of los Vatos Locos, or something, this is the third time Abismo teams up with the Vipers Atomico, why? I don't know, maybe AAA did not want to use Mosco II in this part of the country, where the origninal Mosco is very well known.

1.-Los Norteņos surprise los Vipers and start on command brawling, The Panther jumps on Abismo and goes for his masks, ripping it open as they battle down on the floor, Jerry comands the in ring battle, and delivers a weird move that starts like a powerbomb but drops the Hysteria on his face/chest, on the floor, Abismo is on the bitter end of the chair shots, Jerry continues doing powerbomb variants as his team gets the first fall.

2.- The brawl continues thru the second fall, and now Abismo Negro is bleeding, eventually, the Noreteņos perform 'la carreta' on Psicosis(II), you know that the tecnicos always stage the comeback during this move, hey, when was the last time someone was submited with this move?? Well, Vipers are not tecnicos, but they react and... brawl, its payback time for los Vipers and Abismo gets even with The Panther after a series of chair shots and mask ripping, Abismo Powerbombs and pins Panther.

3.-They keep brawling, are you surprised? Actually, the brawling had some lucha moves here and there and was good, Abismo throws Panther over the rail, but it seems Televisa edits forward to the end of the fall: several Vipers miss missile kicks, then the Norteņos follow suit, eventually, Estrada and Piscosis are left in the ring, but they deliver topes on opposing sides of the ring, the cameraman was asleep, as we don't get a view... Maniaco and Sanguinario fight, the later misses a corner spear a la Fuerza Guerrera, then, Maniaco performs a corner-tope, but we can't see it b/c the camera was taking Sangre Chicana!! OH S***!!! Abismo connects shoulder tackles on Panther and goes for the ttb, but Chicana throws him off, and the mandatory brawling follows. Vipers won be DQ.

Maybe a good match, but it seems that the cameramen where the Tony Schiavones of Mexico, as it seems they didn't care about the match. Jerry looks good, but if he is going to be hanging around with Chicana, Cobarde and los Norteņos, he might be lost on it, turning Vato Loco would be the right thing for him, a while ago, he was in a trio with MayFlowers and Picudo (los Rockeros)

--Angle - Normaly, I don't care about angles, but this was pretty wild and looked like a 'duro y directo' segment:

Mascara Sagrada jr is training with... Mascara Sagrada? Jesus Zuņiga is there to interview oldie Mascara, but part of the screen goes 'blurry', kind of out of focus, and a guy cames out and argues with young Mascara, the unmasked guy says that he went to the gym to do some training, unlike the clowns there (los Mascaras) the Televisas titles say 'Hijo del Solitario', he and Mascara tease a fight. Later, Zuņiga and Mascara 'sr' are on the top of the building, and Mascara is talking about how he´s been touring all over Mexico but he will be back in AAA, the camera man got 'distracted' and focus on two men fighting on the street, they go down and the two guys are the unmasked Hijo del Soli and Mascara jr, the out of focus effect comes again, but we got to see their faces, anyone who knows them should recognize them. They fight for a while with Mascara sr taking his 'son' away and both saying they're gona beat the other, Zuņiga looks confused, and asks the other guy who he is, he says 'Soy el Hijo del Solitario, del Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre' ("I'm Hijo del Solitario, from CMLL)...an angle that includes showing unmasked luchadors???

***Perrito, Heavy Metal, Murcielago and Mascara Sagrada jr vs Vatos Locos.- The previous time a match like this had taken place, it was Picudo/Perro jr who carried the match, now, Nygma has taken over, Murcielago? I guess he is a Matamoros local.

1.- Vatos jump over los tecnicos in their usual fashion, Perrito is tortured by Nygma, while Manson is beating Heavy Metal, I guess Manson thinks Heavy is a 'poser', then Vatos did their four way dropkicks on Mascara jr, and Flowers connected plancha on Murcielago.

2.- The brawling goes on, as Mayflowers uses a wire to choke Mascara Sagrada, in the ring, Perrito and Metal reverse whips and make Manson and Nygma collide, Nygma is kicked out of the ring by Perro jr and Heavy does the press slam on Charlie, next, Metal places Charlie hanging upside down on the ttp, and starts kicking him, Perrito and Nygma are doing the same on the opposing corner.

3.- The tecnicos are the ones brawling now, Perrito is in the ring emulating his Dad fighting Nygma, Manson and Picudo react and start beating Metal and Sagrada jr, and Los Vatos are back on track, Murcielago gets corner splashed by Manson, as he and Picudo are in the ring, waiting for the things to cool down, the brawling ends and the match ups take place, Murcielago throws Mayflowers out of the ring and does a tope suicida, Manson fights Sagrada jr, who forces Charly to go out in a 'salida de bandera', then, el tecnico goes for a good somersault bodyblock (similar to the one Papi Chulo did vs Negro on SuperAstros), at least, Mascara S didn't got killed there... the other four guys miss moves and Perrito gets drop kicked by Heavy, but anyway, Heavy uses la casita on Picudo to take the match, then Perrito and Heavy fight for a while, but at the end they shake hands.

***Octagon, Latin Lover and Parka jr over Sangre Chicana, Espectro jr and Cobarde.-Cobarde vs Latin Lover continues getting its big push, weird thing here is having Parka jr instead of Heavy Metal, who is a bigger name, maybe AAA is working on the storylines and wants to have Metal feuding los Vatos... or joining them?? No, I don't think so neither.

1.- Octagon seems to be inspired as he starts working good with dropkicks and armdrags with Espectro jr, then Parka jr enters to do his comedic stuff (he is almost as good as La Parka at that), later, Octagon pins Cobarde with a crucifix, while Parka avoids Espectro making the save with plancha, and then uses a second rope moonsault to pin Espectro so the tecnicos win the fall.

2.-Los rudos gain the control of the fall as they start beating tecnicos by taking them to 'la esquina...', they keep fighting this way for a while, untill Latin dodges a corner splash by Espectro and the tecnicos take over the brawling, eventually los Vatos Locos came out and start beating los tecnicos (who else?) so the rudos get DQd, BTW, if you read 'Box y Lucha', don't believe its reports.

CMLL.- From Arena Coliseo.-

***Lizmark vs Mascara Aņo 2000.- After building up this match for the last two weeks, now we have it, but, it is not a hair vs mask or championship match, I guess it is a 'revancha superlibre'.

1.- Aired about 1:30 as it starts with Chucho Reyes kicking and chocking Lizmark with the top rope, cut forward to Lizmark dominating the match, and after a missile kicks, he gets the pin.

2.- They trade slaps and kicks, and then Lizmark manages to deliver 'tijeras' and a quebradora con giro, which makes Aņo think about it and leave the ring, once again, is slaping and kicking time for 2000 but Lizmark has some armdrags and dropkicks in store for him, el tecnico tries to do a short rana (victory roll?) but Mascara reverses into a pin and 'helps himself holding the rope'.

3.- Cut forward again and Morales informs that Mascara has been dominating for a while, he goes for a bodyslam but Lizmark does a small package to get a near pin, Mascara goes out of the ring and Lizmark does plancha from the ttb, they make it back to the mat and Mascara Aņo 2000 puts Lizmark in 'la de a caballo' but after a while, breaks the move, them Lizmark applied that same hold, finally, Lizmark does a huracanrana... and 'helps himself holding the rope'.

CMLL has booked all singles matches like this, exchange the rope holding by unseen fouls or faked fouls, and you got it, only the championships match get saved by this screwing craze. They've been seeing too much AAA.

*Rencor Latino, Arkangel and Chicago Express beat Super Kendo, Torero and Kid Guzman.- It seems that the previous match was the main event from the tuesday card, this is a midcard from the Friday show.

1.- Rencor Latino works the crowd hitting a clothsline on Kid and screaming "Ruuuuuuuudos", but Guzman reacts and delivers spinning everywhere tijeras... twice (Spinning everywhere: think about Rey Mysterio jr bulldog on Parka move, it seems to be all the craze lately, lots of guy has been doing variations of those moves, mainly armdrags or tijeras, or even DDTs).Action keeps steady and at the end, Super Kendo pins Rencor with a Huracanrana, Kid Guzman does a moonsault from the second turnbuckle on Arkangel, but he lands on the rudo's shoulder, anyway, Arkangel sells and the tecnicos get the first fall.

2.- Kid Guzman is Chicago's nightmare, as el rudo gets armdraged all over the ring, untill he leaves, Kid flips over the top rope and lands on Express with tijeras (looked OK, had some flaws), the tecnicos look good, untill Torero enters, the rudos slowly get the command of the fall, as Rencord punishes Kid Guzman with kicks, sends him to the corner and performs a tornado reverse DDT to get the 3 count on Kid, Express bodyslams Kendo and seems to do a Vader bomb, but twist at mid air and falls in a guillotine leg drop, so the match goes 1-1.

3.- Chaos breaks lose as the match ups last only a couple of moves b/c partners always enter to break the flow of the match, Torero and Arkangel seem to be feuding and go to the floor to fight, the other rudos send their foes out of the ring, Rencor gives them a side plancha, but los tecnicos catch him up, so Chicago goes and hits a tope on Rencor's back that takes all of them out of the match, Arkangel is willing to join the plancha/topes secuence, but gets armdraged from the ttb by Torero, Torero then tries a huracnarana or something, but Arkangel back drops and gets the match(-the crowd was beyond dead)

The strange thing is that this guys do great matches full of highspots... when they're not on TV, CMLL's lucha is good all around, but the spots frenzies are now not that often.

***Brazo de Oro, Olimpico and Mr Hoy vs Rey Bucanero, Karloff Lagarde jr and Violencia.- Second try for Mr Hoy.

1.- Average action thru the fall untill the ending, which sees Mr Hoy jumping over the top rope in a somersault bodyblock on Karloff, while Olimpico jumps into the second turnbuckle and jumps out of the ring to do Plancha on Rey Bucanero, Olimpico even falls on his feet, which is good, as sometimes, the tope/plancha performers seems to get the worst out of it, in the ring Brazo de Oro gets the pin .

2.-Tecnicos have this under their control as they totaly overwhelm los rudos, with sporadic reactions, Olimpico sends Bucanero down to the floor and then he does exactly the same flip over the top rope land doing tijeras move that Kid Guzman had done earlier on the show, cut to the middle of the rudo brawling (you know there has to be one) and Bucanero throws Olimpico over the third rope, but doesn't get the DQ, Violencia nails Olimpico with a somersault body block, and the tecnicos are counted out.

3.-Nothing happens here, the rudos brawl, the tecnicos made the comeback with more brawling, Bucanero gets the 'upset win' with a submision hold.
