AAA-- First two matches at San Luis Potosi, last 4 matches, Guerra de Titanes at Chihuahua.

***Las Brujas (Xochitl Hamada, Rossy 'la Arpia' Moreno and Miss Janeth 'la Monica Lewinsky de los Cuadrilateros') vs (No team name yet) Vicky Carranza, Martha Villalobos and La Briosa.- First time on recap for las... non-brujas rudas, I guess they'll be rudas, Martha is like the female-superporky, and returns to tv after a while, on the other hand, both Vicky and Briosa use heavy make up which make the 'non-brujas-team' look mean. Rossy Moreno is using an outfit like the ones she wear before joining las Brujas, when she was a tag team with Alda (Does this mean she might be re-joining Alda?).

Only fall, this is a lumberjack match, with los minis doing the honors.- Janeth and La Briosa do some matwork, Miss Janeth manages to throw her foe out of the ring a couple of times, but los minis were not 'into' the slapping yet. Las Brujas start gang-attacking and sending Briosa and Ms Carranza down, Villalobos does the usual 'fat-lady-no-selling' to turn the match in her favor and now Janeth and Rossy are running away from the slapping. Rossy faces Vicky, the later looks good with some 'tijeras', a couple of frankensteiners and an Octagon-like armdrag (la jarocha), which sends Rossy to the floor, Hamada tries to help but misses a spear to the corner and leaves the ring also, Tiranates holds Vicky but Miss Janeth misses and drop-kicks Tirantes out of the ring, los minis go right after him, and Tirantes is headed to the locker room, he returns after a while with a belt of his own that he uses to keep los minis at bay. In the ring, Martha is dominating with some gutshots, and Rossy is thrown out by Vicky, who then delivers a side-plancha from the apron. Miss Janeth and Xochitl keep making mistakes in the ring, they miss simultaneous missile kicks, and Briosa kicks Janeth out of the ring, to then do a 'senton a la aguayina', she actually falls sitting on Miss Janeth (instead of in her legs like Perro lands), Martha Villalobos takes the match after a fat plancha on Hamada.

I think that los minis were not 'into' their role, here, Vicky's debut was ok, maybe good, I don't know if she will join Brujas or Alda's team, maybe she'll be on her own team, at least AAA is showing interest in improving the ladies division.

*** Hijo del Solitario, Mini Psicosis and Psicosis (II) vs Mascara Sagrada jr, La Parka jr and la Parkita.-First effort for Hijo del Solitario in PAPSA, here as a rudo, which might be better for him, his father was rudo, and he was pushed as a tecnico in CMLL...

1.- Cut to the good stuff: Mini Psicosis whips la Parkita to the corner, and then misses a spear, so Mini Psicosis goes to the floor, then, La Parkita nails him (actually, both) with moonsault from the ttb!! The bigger guys get to the ring, Psicosis sits in the corner but Parka jr gets there and performs a rana pin from there (was not like a huracarana frankensteiner move, I guess it was like a 'victory roll' from the top turnbuckle). Hijo del Solitario enters and fouls Mascara jr to lose the fall.

2.- Los rudos start brawling, keep brawling, and at the end, they're DQd in the middle of the brawling, los tecnicos couldn't do anything about that, and even Mini Psicosis was in his role of brawling, he even dominated La Parka for a while, and Piscosis (II) almost did a Michinoku Driver on Parkita jumping from the apron to the floor (but he landed on his feet, la Parkita was nailed to the ground) Mascara jr was left a bloody mess there.

Oh well, not the brightest match in recent memory, but at least they DID set the feud ready, the interesting thing here is that I FEEL (note, this is not even a rumor) that Solitario jr might end losing his mask! That could be a big event for AAA, who for whatever reasons, doesn't have masks match that easy...

*** Vatos Locos vs Vipers (with Electroshock instead of Psicosis).-Again, I guess this feud is in its way to become a 'semi-classic', they're defining the AAA 'extreme light' style. Perrito vs Nygma seems a step into involving other teams as well, which could be interesting.
1-2.-'Madrugete' by los Vatos and they totally dominate this fall brawling, there are some chair shots (some of them were not shown, those cameramen again...) and the fall ends with los Vatos four way drop-kicks on Psicosis. In the fall #2, los Vatos keep the momentum for a while until Picudo misses and hits MayFlowers, so the Vipers react, Psicosis does a snap mare on Nygma on the access ramp and then gives him some chair shots, while the brawling continues. MayFlowers starts bleeding, a plancha from Psicosis puts him out of the fall, then Picudo gets missile kicked by Electro Shock as los Vipers take this fall.
3.- Los Vipers keep brawling, Psicosis slams Manson in the access (wooden) ramp, and then throws him making him slide on it, los Vipers get to the ring where they outnumber any Vato Loco who gets into the ring, Electro Shock holds Nygma's legs, while Hysteria and Mosco held Nygma's arms, so Psicosis (II, btw, he was in two matches in a row for the tv broadcast), can do a senton on him, then MayFlowers is put in the same hold so that Mosco does a twisting plancha, Manson enters and starts slapping Hysteria, soon he is joined by the other Vatos as they made the comeback! But the reaction is short as los Vipers reverse whips attempts and then drop-kick los Vatos out of the ring so that the quadruple topes suicidas can be delivered, Manson even jumps over the rail to fall in the crowd! Electro and Hysteria take MayFlowers into the ring while the other Vipers go to the locker room... they return with a (pre-cut it seems) table! Los Vatos take the match by DQ after a senton through the table by Hysteria!!

*** Abismo Negro vs The Panther for the national middle weight title.-The usual style for feuding in Mexico include going for the title (if anyone holds one), and then, the masks or hair, I don't think this will go beyond this stage...

1-2-3.- Matwork fall which at the end sees the Panther doing 'quebradora con giro' on Abismo, and then, Panther used a hammerlock with headsicsors submission hold to take the first fall. Early in the next fall, Panther nails Abismo with a somersault bodyblock, they made it back to the ring, only to have Abismo Negro sending Panther back to the floor to deliver a tope suicida! They get in the ring again to fight a little more, Picudo trips Abismo, Picudo and Psicosis (seconds-or cornermen?) start fighting, Picudo takes Psicosis (II) mask out(it comes off very easy btw)!!! Tropicasas DQd Panther! The third fall is the 'near pin' stage, Latin Lover comes ringside, Abismo whips Panther, but he goes down to slap Latin! Back in the ring, Panther puts Abismo into a submission hold, but Latin enters and 'patada de Cabrito' Panther, Tirantes DQd Panther!!

Post match sees a big brawling which leads into the next match, Abismo says he is not happy with the way he won (I wonder if Latin forgot the sequence and kicked Panther instead of Abismo...). Abismo looked good at his work, but won both falls by DQ, I guess that was done so he could keep his 'rule breaker' image.

***Perro, Alebrije and Latin Lover vs Cobarde, Chicana and Espectro jr.- At the ending of the previous match, Sangre Chicana (to whom Latin Lover lost his mask) and Cobarde (Jr) came to join Panther beating Latin, Perro (and Alebrije) make the save after a while, Perro chases los rudos back to the locker room, Perro and Alebrije try to help Latin back to the locker rooms, but Panther returns, then Cobarde, Chicana and Espectro jr return, and the brawling continues.

1.- Somehow, during the that brawling the match started, the rudos are in command until Alebrije does a 'quebradora con giro' on Cobarde, then does a plancha from the ttb, a bodyslam, goes again to the ttb, goes down, another bodyslam, yet again to the ttb, to finally do a leg drop (which was not very good) so Cobarde (jr) is pinned, while Perro uses his double stomp on Chicana and the fall ends. In the second, Perro keeps no-selling, Alebrije nails Espectro with a tope (whipped by Perro) and Nygma makes the save by attacking Perro and bringing the end of this match.

***Heavy Metal and Octagon vs Pentagon and Kickboxer.- Cage match. This is the main event of a 'major' card, but no stipulations were given. Kickboxer and Pentagon get to the cage first, Huicho, Heavy and Octagon arrive later in a Limo!

-- Heavy Metal vs Kickboxer - Nothing happens there but elbows, kicks and punches. Octagon vs Pentagon: OK, Penta takes some of his bumps, they sometime go to help their respective partner, and uses some chair shots, Octagon rips Penta's mask open (actually, Penta did it himself) and Tirantes helps los rudos as he can, he and Huicho tease fighting. Pentagon tries to slam Octagon to the cage but Octagon jumps and escapes the cage. Kick boxer and Octagon fight out of the cage a while, while Heavy uses a chair to punish Pentagon, el rudo recovers and takes the chair to attack Metal, but Heavy dodges a chair shot and it rebounds hitting Pentagon! Heavy uses a press slam on Penta, Heavy Metal climbs the cage but is met by Tirantes who punches his kidneys (I guess) and Heavy goes in again, Octagon also climbs and starts punching Tirantes!! But Kickboxer also goes up and gives Octagon a chair shot, Heavy goes up again but Tirantes reaches him, but 'el chacal de Jalapa' gets his face slammed into the top of the cage!! But Metal loosed too much time at that as Kickboxer also gets there and attacks him from behind! Puma Santini comes out and climbs the cage (Heavy is down in the mat again, how, I don't know), Puma attacks Tirantes and Pentagon escapes, they brawl outside of the cage and Tropicasas fouls Tirantes, I think los rudos won, but at the end Tropicasas raised los tecnicos arms, so who knows...

IMHO, the Kickboxer vs Heavy Metal feud has to end soon, they can not work together at all, I think a Manson-Metal feud could work very well in cage, lumberjack, bullterrier or any kind of match. (see looks at... column -I hope).

Comments.- Overall, a good show, not the most wonderful matches, but at least they're 6 of them, and I think only Perro's match was weak. AAA's average quality is still short from CMLL standards, but at least they can generally book better their stuff, the cage match was cool b/c with all the guys fighting on top of the cage, it gave the impression someone could fall to the ground. The rest of the card was solid, I guess they missed Sevilla-Niño-Apache angle, and AAA still have more workers, hopefully they'll bring the minis back on their own soon.

***Atlantico, Solar II and Olimpus vs Rencor Latino, DR O'borman and Virus .-A good lineup to open CMLL's card, they're all good workers, specially Virus and Rencor, the three rudos get to the ring with their 'grupo cibernetico' T-shirts... no that's not a lWo rip-off (which was a rip off itself)... but it could work... why not?

1.-Atlantico and Rencor, then Virus and Solar II start the match with some matwork build up, Atlantico and Rencor Latino then speed up the match as el rudo corner splashes Atlantico, but then misses a splash, so Atlantico throws him over his shoulder in a powerbomb-like move. Virus enters and drop-kicks Atlantico's tight, so he gains the control of the match, but later, Solar II surprises him with a side plancha and pin, while Olimpus steps over Solar and does a somersault bodyblock on Rencor to put him out.

2.- Los tecnicos are going through their armdraging-headsicsoring stage, until los rudos decide they've had enough and start double or triple teaming their opponents.Eventually, los rudos make Solar quit, and then put Atlantico in powerbomb (Ligerbomb) position on Virus who was in the ttb, he brings el tecnico down and O'borman and Rencor follow with diving headbutts. Rudos take the fall.
3.- Los rudos keep the match going their way, Latino does a shoulder breaker on Atlantico twice, then they put him on a submission hold, but the other two tecnicos made the save and the comeback is on! Tecnicos brawl a while and then all of them return to their respective corner. Solar faces Virus, they go back and forth, Virus is trapped in a Huracanrana, but kicks out, then, Virus does some flips and deliver a rana on Solar to pin him! O'Borman and Olimpus enter, only to have Dr O'Borman thrown out of the ring and nailed with a tope, Atlantico tries to take Rencor out with a Huracanrana, but can get the 3 count, then Rencor puts the tecnico on his shoulder (as in a bodyslam) but brings him down in a rock bottom like move!!! Rudos take the match!!

Good match from the hardworking undercard guys, Rencor Latino is soon establishing himself as one of the best rudos around, with relatively new (for Mexican fans) holds and moves, last week he did a reverse tornado DDT, and now he delivers that rock bottom like move, Halcon Negro was doing some similar stuff, but I think Rencor has better chances to advance in CMLL, otoh, Virus was good, but it seems CMLL wants their guys remain in the ground if they can, so this was not an aerial show.

***Astro Rey jr, Super Kendo and Kid Guzman vs Arkangel, Hijo del Gladiador and Mogur.-I guess Hijo del Gladiador and Mogur are the new guys (concerning my recaps), they're both long time undercard workers, Mogur had bigger name value some years ago... Hijo was part of 'la nueva Ola Blanca' with Dr Wagner jr and Dr O'borman, but Wagner went to get bigger victories on his own or with different teammates.
1-2.- Nothing too good happens here, the rudos brawl and Arkangel and Astro Rey jr set their feud off, Arkangel makes Astro submit to a half crab. in the second fall, Arkangel and Astro trade some moves, Kendo and Kid Guzman see some action but they're overall quiet in this fall, at the end, Super Kendo armdrags Hijo de el Gladiador from the corner and pins him, while Kid does a moonsault-tope from the second rope to pin Mogur.

3.- Arkangel is still brawling with Astro Rey jr, he even unties his mask, and throws him through the access hall, then, they made it back to the ring and Astro recovers a little and also unties Arkangel mask, both teams trade control of the fall in a chaotic way, at last, Hijo del Gladiador goes down and Kendo nails him with an over the top rope frog leap (?), then Mogul is also out, so Kid hits a side-spinning-plancha!! In the ring, the captains, Astro tries a Huracanrana, but Arkangel reverses but only gets 2 count (even helping himself with the rope), Arkangel powerbombs Astro, and goes to the ttb to deliver a senton, but Astro moves away, and goes to the top himself, he does a moonsault and Arkangel also rolls away, but Astro falls on his feet and pins Arkangel with an inside cradle to take the match!

At least Astro - Arkangel is better than Torero/Arkangel, not that much though, this might be one of the last times Super Kendo works in CMLL, he is quite good for a tecnico (lol), after more than 15 years living in Mexico, he is going back to Dominican Republic, he said the crime rates in Mexico City made him go back to his motherland.

***Tinieblas jr, Lizmark and Shocker vs Bestia Salvaje, Scorpio jr and Zumbido.-All of the sudden, Tinieblas jr starts getting more air time, I don't know what kind of plans CMLL has for him... On the rudo's side, it seems Zumbido is now an official member of Scorpio's and Bestia team, not too good for him, I think he really shines when working with Rencor, Bucanero or Ultimo Guerrero; but if Scorpio and Bestia are getting any push, that might help Zumbidosky.
1.-Los rudos take Tinieblitas to 'la esquina...' and beat him there, Bestia kicks Tinieblas tight, Leo Magadan says 'that's not a foul!' but Morales replays ' that's a foul!', Gusano Yañes says that 'la sangre llama', which translates into, 'blood calls', I guess it means 'blood is thicker than water', or something, the thing is that they keep alive the joke that Morales is Tinieblas, so Tinieblas jr is Morales' son. Los rudos keep the actions their way until Lizmark manages to even the match, Zumbido fights Shocker, el rudo tries to double kick Shocker while holding the ropes, but Shocker grabs his feet and brings him down and pins him, Bestia tries to make the save but Morales jr, I mean, Tinieblas jr nails him with a side plancha from the ttb.
2-3.- Los tecnicos are in command now, as Tinieblas jr, Shocker and Lizmark take turns punishing los rudos with usual tecnico stuff, later, Tinieblas jr enters and los rudos use gang tactics to regain the flow of the match and they are awarded with the second fall. In the final fall: Los rudos keep at the same pace as the ending of the previous fall, then, Tinieblas stages the return as he dodges a Zumbido (whipped by Bestia and Scorpio) corner splash, and then hits double clothesline on los rudos, Shocker and Lizmark support Tinieblas in the reaction, but they're unable to clear the ring, and los rudos stop the reaction when Bestia and Scorpio grab each a leg of Tinieblas and lift him (like if to do Mexican 'desnucadora' -powerbomb-), Zumbido goes to the apron and does a springboard top rope missile kicks, but Tinieblas tries to dodge and the move doesn't come off good, maybe b/c los rudos where not holding Tinieblas correctly... anyway, they pin him and get the match.

***Brazo de Plata, Brazo de Oro and Starman vs Satanico, Rey Bucanero and Ultimo Guerrero.-This is the semifinal from the Friday card, an odd combination of youth and older established guys, Starman used 'Ultraman jr' gimmick, until the owner of the gimmick objected (why the real owner of the character didn't say anything... I guess he don't care...). Rey Bucanero is using his mask here, the previous weeks he was giving hints at possible feud with Mr. Hoy, maybe they'll continue it later...

1.- Los rudos jump on superporky trying to take him down, but he gets back with his fat guy moves punishing el Satanico, then, Ultimo Guerrero enters to face Starman, Ultimo G uses his judoka holds, he takes Starman to 'la esquina...' to make a tag with Bucanero, but Starman recomposes himself and delivers a headsicsors and an armdrag which makes Rey B to crotch himself to the ringpost. The fall goes on for a while until they set the usual fat guy ending (the one that was blown with Salomon Grundy two weeks earlier), and the first fall goes to los tecnicos.

2-3.- Things don't change that much in this fall, until Ultimo and Starman start doing some good moves, as Starman does his aerial stuff, that doesn't last that much as los rudos establish the brawling and get the second fall to their side. In the last fall: Los rudos keep outnumbering their foes, Starman reacts sending Rey B out of the ring with drop-kicks, Ultimo enters but Starman jumps on him as if to do Huracanrana, but Ultimo spins and throws him out... falling on Bucanero!! But los rudos are still having the match in their hands as they whip Brazo de Oro to crash with Porky, then hang Brazo de Oro on the ttb and fling Plata there, then, they whip Porky to the ropes and try to kick him in the gut (not that hard), but Brazo de Plata fakes a foul and los rudos are DQd.
***Blue Panther, Black Warrior and Dr Wagner jr vs Felino, Emilio Charles jr and Atlantis .- Since becoming the trios champs, the rudo team have been around strong in CMLL, they've work together quite often, and I think CMLL might be pushing them in this Coliseo season, of course, they'll should lose most of the times they work...

1.- (extract from 'porque soy rudo':) Los tecnicos are always too fool to know they should not get to the ring one by one. Felino enters the ring belly sliding, so he easy target to be stomped by Blue Panther and Black Warrior, Atlantis gets the same dose as he gets to the ring, while, Charles couldn't even get there as Wagner nails him in the access ramp. Los rudos keep only one tecnico in the ring at a time so they can beat him freely, eventually they're DQd, and then, Wagner puts Emilio Charles jr in the ttb to deliver the Wagnerdog (3/4 facelock bulldog).
2.-Los rudos laguneros continue beating los tecnicos for some time, Emilio is bleeding quite a bit, later, Wagner holds Emilio in a full nelson hold, so that Black and Panther can hit him, but los tecnicos trip them and drag them down to the floor as the comeback is on. Now it is the time for los rudos to be outnumbered as los tecnicos brawl, they rip Panther's mask open, and then take Warrior's off, so they are DQd as well. Warrior goes to the locker room for another mask (this is all black).

3.- There's more tecnico brawling here, then, they cut forward to Atlantis almost pinning Warrior, then Felino enters and is whipped to the corner by Black Warrior, Felino goes tot he ttb, Warrior 'tries' the frankensteiner but gets mountain splashed instead, Wagner makes the save as Warrior leaves the ring, Emilio enters to face Dr jr, Wagner pulls Charles hair slamming him to the mat, then, Wagner bodyslmas Charles but misses an elbow drop, still, he keeps the control with a double underhook powerbomb, but only gets a 2 count. Emilio is whipped to the corner, Wagner connects the splash, but Atlantis gets him with drop-kicks, Atlantis goes for 'la de a caballo' then for a Huracanrana, but both times Panther makes the save. Wager gets out of the ring, but Emilio deliver a (bloody) tope suicida! Felino is fighting with Blue Panther, but Warrior nails him with missile kicks. Felino is whipped to the ropes, Warrior throws him over his shoulders, but he lands on Panther to pin him with a Huracanrana, Warrior is surprised and Atlantis puts him into 'la Atlantida'. Los tecnicos win this match.

PostMatch: Los tecnicos ask for a shot at the trios belts, Wagner says he'll give Charles the chance, but that after that, he want his hair, Panther tells Atlantis that this is the beginning of his failure, and Warrior warns Felino that it's not over until Felino is unmasked... More or less the same ending from some weeks ago with Wagner and Mr. Niebla, since Charles bleed, Panther got his mask ripped, and Warrior's mask was taken off, everything is set to masks matches, but I doubt they'll have such matches on La Coliseo, so I think los rudos will keep the titles next week, in order to continue the angle.

Comments.- Strong effort by CMLL this time, they used most of their top names, (save Santo, Negro, Fuerza and 'the heavyweights'). However, the matches in ring action is not as good as the Arena Mexico matches, maybe CMLL wants to keep their guys healthy and thus, the guys are going easy at it. No WCW this time (again), Rey Bucanero was there, but no Negro or Dantes, as far as I know, Santo has not a contract with WWF, and he should be in the 15th anniversary of El Santo's death, but it is hard to say if he'll stay in CMLL, if he leaves, I guess Felino might lose his mask vs Warrior, to foil any Felino/Santito feud....
