IWRG from Arena Naucalpan taped March 28th!!!!!!!!

*** Zonick vs Neon.- Zonick is once again sent to the opener match, this is the debut for Neon, he uses a black with gold outfit...

3.- Neon launches the rudo offense with a stunner and some kicks, a half powerbomb, some clotheslines, rudo brawling... Zonick, out from nowhere starts working on Neon's left leg, with some legstretches, or something, he tries to get the match with a cradle but Neon kicks out and puts the tecnico into an Indian death lock, Zonick escapes and puts the rudo into 'la de a caballo', still, unable to force him to quit. Neon hits a bodyslam, then misses a top turnbuckle senton, Zonick comes with his on bodyslam and a top turnbuckle plancha splash to get the 1 2 3 and get the match. Nothing too impressive there...

*** Relampago and Volador jr vs Rockambole jr and Rey Cuervo.- First try for Relampago, he looks young and thin, but not as young as Volador, Relampago uses a gold and black costume, with a face cover only mask, which lets one see his hair... I was checking out a tape with Rey Pantera the other day, and he looks a lot like Rey Cuervo, I guess they could either be the same guy or part of a tag team...

1.- Voladorcito and Cuervo trade some whips and armdrags, with no clear winner in their exchange, tag in to Relampago and Rockambole: the rudo uses his size advantage to overpower the tecnico, who reacts with and armdrag and a snapmare, however, Rey Cuervo sneaks attack Relampago with drop-kicks, the rudos double team on him, the rudos keep double teaming and overwhelming the young tecnicos for about 8 and a half minutes, until Relampago hits a rana from nowhere and pins Rockambole, Volador jr drops Rey Cuervo on his face and then delivers an inside the ring quebrada to get the pin.

2.- Volador has the chance to do his acrobatic stuff on Cuervo, then Relampago comes with a similar offense on Rockambole jr, both tecnicos look good, they can do some good stuff, but not as perfect or as original to make them superstars yet, but they seem to be pretty young and with a lot of space to improve. The tecnico offense last short, as soon the rudos take control again, after a couple of minutes, Volador and Relampago rally back, Volador jr hits a jump from the top turnbuckle flying headscissors, while Relampago gets a top turnbuckle springboard into flying headscissors, too bad that on a later spot, Relampago kills himself after an attempted over the top somersault bodyblock which fell 1 meter short from connection on Rey Cuervo, on the ring, Volador jr delivers a (Tony Rivera-like) Huracanrana from the top turnbuckle to Rockambole, and, even if Rey Cuervo is still not out of the match, the referees gave the tecnicos the match, I guess b/c they knew that Relampago wasn't going to come back and Volador jr was too exhausted to deal with Rey C.

Well, I don't think Relampago was killed there, but that felt real ugly, he landed with his waist on the edge of the apron and then almost on his face to the floor... a little complaint here for the IWRG booking (you can email them at iwrg@internet.com.mx), I know that the crowd loves to see the tecnicos winning, but sometimes, you have to let them lose, Cuervo and Rockambole were clearly superior to the young guys, yet they didn't even scored a fall, I think that having a group of undercard rudos beating the newcomers consistently, could lead to give more meaning to the times the young guys finally get a win over them...

*** Mochizuki, Punch Power and Mercurio vs Super Payasos (Bruly and Roli) and Multifacetico.-

1.- They start doing the matworking buildup, with Mochizuki and Mercurio not brawling, and Multifacetico picking up the pace, as well as Punch Power, who started kicking the tecnicos so the Payasos got into their cool flying headscissors/armdrags stage. The fall stalled down a while with Mercurio and on of the Payasos doing a test of strength which lasted quite a while, Punch Power tried to help his partner but the other Payaso got in, drop-kicked the rudo and landed on Mercurio and Payaso's arms (we call that thing in Mexico 'cunita' -'cradle'), they flipped the Payaso back to his feet and then both SuperPayasos flinged Mercurio to Punch Power, to get awarded the fall with double huracanranas, while Multifacetico delivered a (slow-mo) top turnbuckle moonsault to defeat Mochi.

2.- Punch Power attacks Multifacetico and takes him to 'la esquina del dolor' so the rudos start ganging up on him and manhandle the tecnico for some time, then Bruly enters but Mercurio hits an elbow smash and a bodyslam set the Super Payaso ready to receive a Power's jacknife senton (pretty good elevation there)!! Bruly is out... Roli is powerbombed and pinned as well by Mercurio, finally, Multifacetico is brought down by Mochi and Power's double clothesline, so Mochizuki forces him to submit to a crab (almost a lion tamer). Pretty short fall (2'35").

3.- Both teams go back and forth as they trade some moves, the rudos take control of the match with some brawling and double teaming, eventually, the tecnicos react and one of the Super Payasos hits a great looking move which had him locking Mochi and going to the ropes to do an armdrags, but on his way down, not only he does the armdrag, but hits a plancha on Punch Power!! The tecnicos have things going their way, as they start hitting inside the ring planchas and making the rudos hit each other with slaps or stomps, the rudos even tease a fight with each other, but at the end, Mochi and Mercurio are in the center of the ring, Multifacetico goes to the top turnbuckle and delivers a side plancha on them, but Punch Power reacts and pushes his partners out of the way so the tecnico falls on the mat!! Mercurio powerbombs one of the Super Payasos to pin him while Multifacetico quits to another crab and the rudos win the match!! They kept fighting for a while after the match.

*** Dr Cerbro, Maniac Cop (w/ a chain) and Arai vs Moon Walker, Micke 'el Suicida' Segura and Ultimo Vampiro.- After the previous week's match with Cerebro and Star Boy ended, Dr Cerebro tombstoned Starboy (it wasn't shown there), so the commission suspended Dr Cerebro for 2 weeks!! Starboy came to ringside with an orthopedic neck brace (or what ever those things are called) and Cerebro attacked him!! I guess Star Boy can be considered tecnico... Anyway, Vigilante made the sub...

1.- Another chapter on the IWRG's 'Who's got the chain' saga, as they take for ever to start the match because the tecnicos ask the referees to check the rudos out and take them off the chain, of course the referees won't find it never and the match has the rudos double or triple teaming the tecnicos, taking them to the rudos' corner and... using the chain... Eventually, Mick Segura counters a double back body drop try by Vigilante and Maniac Cop into a double face to the mat slam, the tecnico brawl goes all over the place until Maniac Cop fouls Moon Walker, and it goes unseen by the referees. So the rudos take the control of the fall back. Arai puts MoonWalker into a abdominal stretch, but Micke Segura nails him with missile kicks, then forces him to submit to the sharpshooter, Vigilante goes for the save but Ultimo Vampiro hits a plancha and then a Huracanrana to get the fall.

2.- Vampiro and Vigilante open the fall, Vigilante hits a clothesline but then Vampiro responds with an armdrag, Vampiro goes to the apron and tries a top rope springboard... something as he slips and falls to the mat!! Vigilante takes him to 'la esquina del dolor' so the rudos can punish him for missing the spot, later, Maniac and Moon Walker trade some moves, Maniac Cop misses a corner spear and goes of the ring, Micke Segura starts doing some of his trademark moves. Next, Arai and Moon Walker are tagged in, they go back and forth and at some point of the fall, Walker ends up having Arai on his shoulder (as if going to do a half powerbomb), and then drops him back, I guess Moon Walker wanted to make the Japanese fall on his chest, but Arai actually fell on his back, as if doing a back drop driver (I think that the move exist, but I've never seen it, here, I think that was a blown the spot.) Arai leaves the ring, Maniac and Vigilante double team Micke and after a series of sentons and elbowdrops, defeat him, as the rudos even the fall count.

3.- The third fall falls (?) into the kick, kick, punch, slap, slap, kick... category, mostly rudo or tecnico brawling, with Maniac Cop focusing on Moon Walker, as the three rudos unlaced his mask, almost at the end of the match, Mick Segura and Ultimo Vampiro delivered double topes suicidas, or somersaults, or something that the camera didn't show ($#¡+), Maniac Cop takes Moon Walker mask off, earning the DQ.

Hey, didn't Maniac Cop used a 'martinete' on Cyber Cop some weeks ago?! Then, why he didn't got suspended? Cyber Cop has been gone for a while... Moon Walker has been unimpressive so far, and with the camera work being poor in some parts, this match turned out to be less good as expected (and of course, putting Vigilante instead of Dr Cerebro has to hurt...)

*** Bombero Infernal, El Texano and Pirata Morgan vs Mascara Sagrada, El Salsero and Super Parka.-

1.- Texano is using a cowboy rope, so he takes advantage from it to punish and choke the tecnicos early in the match, in fact, the rudos jump on their foes as they're been presented. Salsero and Bombero might be feuding now, the show before this one had at the end, Bombero Infernal low blowing Salsero, then, Salsero asked for a hair vs hair match (since Bombero Infernal is IWRG Middleweight champ, it would make sense to have them feuding for that, didn't it?), so here Bombero beats Salsero for most of the fall, the fall itself looks like one of those Hermanos Dinamitas matches with lots of fighting, double teaming, etc. Rudos take the fall after a Bombero plancha and pin on (Yes) Mascara Sagrada.

2.- The rudos keep ahead in the first part of the fall, until the inevitable spot of Texano hitting (with the rope) Pirata Morgan after Mascara ducks the punch, the tecnicos react beating the rudos, apparently (the camera doesn't show it), Bombero Infernal fakes a foul from Salsero, but, although one of the referees looks willing to DQ the tecnicos, at the end, he doesn't. Things settle down a little as Salsero manhandles Bombero on a 1-1 segment. The Super Parka uses his comedy spot, including interlocking his fingers with Pirata Morgan, and jumping (and staying) on the top rope... Texano enters to shake the rope several times, but he only gets Super Parka to shake his legs and then deliver an armdrag+flying headscissors combo... the end comes as Salsero decks Texano with a moonsault, then Parka hits a plancha on Bombero and uses a small package to get the pin on him as Pirata gives up and lays on the mat ready for Mascara Sagrada to pin him with no resistance at all!!

3.- It seems that they join in progress as Pirata Morgan is powerbombing Super Parka, and gets a near fall, Parka counters a clothsline with a spinning DDT- move that ends into a sort of package pin, but Texano makes the save. Pirata and Mascara go at it and the tecnico gets a couple of near falls and a 'la de a caballo' hold on Pirata, who was saved by Texano... by then, the Salsero vs Infernal thing seems to be forgotten, oh, I spoke too soon, they two fight a while, trade pin attempts and have partners making the save, Super Parka manages to sneak a little more comedy battling Texano. The rudos have enough and take Mascara Sagrada's mask off.. twice! And the referees don't see any of those! They keep fighting and Salsero and Super Parka manage to deliver double topes suicidas on Bombero and Texano, but Pirata and Mascara Sagrada don't end the match! Pirata blind fouls Mascara, who goes out of the ring, while he is recovering, Super Parka uses 'la casita' on Texano while Bombero Infernal is huracanrana pinned by Salsero and the match goes to the tecnicos.

Post match: Pirata Morgan gets a mic and says that he's the champ (??? I thought that he has lost his IWRG lightheavy weight --??-- title to la Parka and then la Parka dropped it to Pierroth jr who still holds the belt... or lost it on Puerto Rico or something like that..) and that in the April 21 show (from Aguascalientes) he would beat him for his mask!! And says that that won't be a big deal, since there are 10 or so Mascaras Sagradas!!! And that there's only one Pirata Morgan, Mascara reply something that gets censored but he more or less says he'll beat Pirata.
