AAA show.-

***Las Brujas vs Linda Star, Princesa Sujei and Alda Moreno.-

1.-Princesa Sujei and Miss Janeth start with uncharacteristic matwork, they trade armdrags, armbars and some punches, with Sujei having a slight advantage, untill she ends on Janeth's shoulders and after twisting there, delivers a cool looking (but not flawless) Huracanrana, Sujei does a couple of saults and slaps Janeth's mouth, Rossy and Xochitl decide Sujei is too much for her partner and enter kicking the tecnica down, Brujas take the command of the match brawling, Rossy and Hamada manhandle Alda and Linda in the ring, while Janeth battles with Sujei on the floor. Brujas triple-team on sigle tecnicas and look domminant, Miss Janeth puts Sujei into a crucifix powebomb position, but just tosses her aside, Rossy and Janeth hold both Linda and Alda next to Sujei, while Hamada climbs the ttb (topturnbuckle), Hamada goes for a double missile kick with senton... but tecnicas move away and she hits her partners!! Linda pins Rossy after a suplex, Sujei goes to Xochitl's shoulder to then do a twinsting victory roll, while Alda did a fireman carry on Janeth, to then pin the rudo after a senton to take the first fall...

2.- Sujei starts facing Rossy Moreno, they trade slaps and Princesa did some armdrags and tijeras, Rossy ended out of the ring, Sujei followed, Miss Janeth holds Princesa, but Rossy slaps her partner when Sujei steps away, then comes Xochitil who gets the same, las Brujas argue, Janeth and Hamada shove Rossy, they fight a while, back in the ring, Alda gets to do some armdrags on Janeth, next, Linda Star does more of that on Xochitl, including an armdrag on the floor, chaoes errupt and all 6 ladies end inside the ring, tecnicas manage to put thier opponents in the starfish, but Brujas break it, Linda is kicked out of the ring, Sujei and Alda miss dropkicks, so Xochitl and Janeth connect missile kicks (Hamada from the second turnbuckle) and take the fall, while Linda receives the giant swing (5 reps).

3.- Brujas want to keep the momentum of the match, and continue brawling, Janeth whips Linda to a corner where Rossy is waiting to deliver double kicks to the chest, Xochitl then powerbombs Linda who fell bad on her shoulder... Brujas keep double or triple teaming on the tecnicas untill Sujei reverses a whip and Rossy ends being missile kicked by Janeth, tecnicas react, Janeth and Sujei fight in the ring while the rest of the women are down in the floor battling, Sujei does quebradoras con giro twice on Miss Janeth, who then goes out, Sujei follows, they brawl on the floor, Xochitl and Janeth get their heads slammed on cornerpost, then things get normal and Rossy and Alda get in the ring, Rossy gets dropkicked out and Alda does her somersault placha, she misses and lands on her feet but manages to connect her sister with her arm in a clothline-like fashion, Janeth and Xochitl whip Linda and Sujei to opposing corners, then, try to perform spears, but tecnicas step aside and rudas leave the ring in Fuerza Guerrera's style, tecnicas deliver planchas from the ttb to the floor (they never showed how Linda landed on Hamada), las Moreno get back to the ring, and Alda takes the match after her superhuracanrana...

Post- Brujas are not happy and reenter the ring and start beating the tecnicas, they go with the announcers and ask for a cage match, I guess similar to the deathmatch cage from some months ago where Lady Ludxor lost her mask.

AAA has booked this match for a while, and still looks different every time... save the fact that tecnicas always win... I guess this is getting to an end, and maybe that cage match is it, such match should have taken place on November 29, but I think it would not be on TV so I've doubt any hair or mask will be on the line... I would like to see Linda Star turning on her mates, I'd love Linda and Alda going at it, they're some the smaller wrestlers in the world (even most (all) non-midgets minis). Rossy could be facing Cynthia or even Esther, while Sujei is already feuding Janeth, Xochitl could be busy with Vicky Carranza or with las tres mosqueteras... The announcers even wondered if Linda Star might want to be a Bruja, but I think it is not very likely...

***Lumberjack--Apache, Hobre Rata and Titanic vs Oscar Sevilla, Dollar, and Maravilloso.-The next feud is Apache vs Sevilla, it seems that Cuerno had seconds toughts about losing his mask... New wrestlers for AAA in this match, Titanic, who is nothing to write home about unless you are a Gran Markus fan, and Maravilloso (or Maravilla Azteca or something like that), he uses a traditional orange-colored outfit, so I guess he is the owner of his character, which might prevent him from getting a big push... he looks promising.

O.- Apache and Sevilla start trading armdrags, but no one gets out of the ring, next enter Titanic and Maravilloso, this last one did some rally good looking armdrags, very similar to the ones mini Rey Misterio did a couple of weeks ago, but of course, much slower, Titanic gets armdraged out of the ring but almost immediatly returs... Rata and Dollar in the ring, later, Apache gets dominated by el Novillero who finally sends Apache out of the ring, Apache gets in a corner slaped and uses a japanese photographer who gets slaped for a while...very funny, really. Match goes on with stuff like that, Apache goes out again and this time he uses the OTHER japanese reporter...where are the NBC guys? Eventually Tirantes goes down and is chased out... this is the time the luchadors use to do the flying stuff, but they did took too much time, so when they did the spots, they simply ignored their female tormentors, somehow, various lucahdors were in the floor (camera busy seeing how Tirantes was chased again) and Maravilloso did a not too good spinning plancha, next, Titanic does a tope suicida good for his build, and Dollar ends the sequence with a plancha, Apache and Sevilla go back to the ring and Sevilla does some good armdrags and ranas (I think Sujei is training with the same guy as Sevilla, they did some similar stuff), but Sevilla's moves look to be very low impact and he never get even a 1 count... at the end, Apache supersuplexes Oscar Sevilla (with both of them standing on the ttb) and is awarded the match after the dolphin (?) pin.

***Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Latin Lover and Heavy Metal vs Abismo Negro, Kickboxer and Electroshock.- In 1996, with Juvi, Psicosis, Hysteria, Mosco etc, leaving AAA, it looked as if Perrito, Lover and Heavy will be carrying the promo to the end of the millenium... now they got pushed back to the third match on the card... they still have to take second seat to oldies Perro and Octagon (who is not that old, but is not trying that much)

1.- Abismo and Latin start trading moves for a while with a little of matwork, uncharacteristic for them... they tease brawling errupting, but nothing happen, Latin makes the rudos miss and hit themselves, Electroshock tought that Tirantes had slapped his back and attacks him! Electroshock is then manhandled by Perrito, then Heavy and Kickboxer go at it, then Perrito faces Abismo, Perro jr works good and even does a tijeras that old Perro won't even dream about doing such move... Abismo is armdraged out of the ring, Electroshock is in the apron distracted and is also kicked out, Kick Boxer enters and is pinned by a Metal's Casita. Abismo is sweet chin music-ed (patada de cabrito) and pinned while Perrito does a powerbomb on Electro.

2.- The rudo brawling reaction occurs as they triple team on Heavy Metal, Latin tries to make the save but Tirantes brings him down pulling his hair... they keep brawling, later, tecnicos react and... brawl... Cobarde (jr) cames out with a pole and attacks Latin, Tropicasas DQed rudos... some brawling... Vipers are not happy with Cobarde, brawling, etc.

***Perro Aguayo, Alebrije and Octagon vs Killer (w/Miss Janeth, Devastador and Pentagon.- This is Perro's return to TV since mid September, so its been a while, this might be his last run on TV, as he should be retiring this month.Devastador is also new, he looks and works very similar to Killer, and I guess this match was booked b/c someone (for instance me) thought that Devastator WAS killer.

1/2/3.- Heavy edition here... which is scary as the stuff shown was pretty uneventfull, so I can't imagine how the rest of it was, this match took place after the Perrito match, but was broadcasted before. Some of the things going on in this match: Perro looks work, he could not even climb to the corner to do his stomp and had to go for a mat-level move... Octagon got his mask ripped open, so did Alebrije, Miss Janeth took her usual bumps, even if Perro is not looking too good, he DID a tope suicida, while Octagon went for a Perro-like-senton-which-land-on-his-feet... Tecnicos took the match after Tropicasas DQed Devastador for an alleged foul which I could not see...

*** War Games, Vatos Locos vs Vipers.-

Most of the guys came with a weapon, mainly poles, sticks or chairs, order of luchadors entering the Cage: Nygma, Mosco de la Merced, Mayflower's, Maniaco, Charlie Manson, Hysteria, Picudo, Psicosis, Sangre Chicana and Cibernetico.
*As usual, the Vipers would get beated while outnumbered, and recover and even dominate when the numbers got even, the only exeption was when Psicosis entered, he threw a chair inside the cage before jumping in, by the time he got there, Manson was expecting him and used Psicosis chair to get a couple of shots! Things were balanced the 5 minutes before they could escape, as the time expired, they all get out of the cage fast, with only Manson, Nygma, Ciber, Mosco and Psicosis staying a little longer, but not too much, this was not very long, the best thing was a Manson-Psicosis chair showdown, after that, Psicosis managed to do a senton on a chair over Manson and escape, Mosco missed a chair shot and connected Ciber, Manson went out, Mosco followed, Ciber was the last luchador to enter while Nygma was the first, so the leader of the Vipers looked with stronger chances to win, Nygma reacted and climbed the cage while Manson held Ciber by pulling his hair... out comes Perrito!! He takes Nygma back to the cage and both Perrito and Ciebernetico team up beating Nygma!! Perrito goes for dropkicks but el Vato ducks and Perrito hits Ciber... Nygma tries to escape, but Perrito grabs his leg, tries to drag him down, but Ciber gives a chair shot to... Hijo del Perro!! Nygma climbs out! Vatos win! Vipers return, they 5 on 1 Perrito. Here comes Perro senior! He is ru... trying to run... but gets attacked by los Vatos!! Heavy and Octagon make the save on old Perro, heavy press slams Mason to a post, some kicking and punching... Vipers get out of the cage, leaving the bloody Perrito iinside, Perro takes forever to climb in... Arturo Rivera says the door is open! Perro could have just walk in! Tecnicos get to help Perrito... Antonio Peña gets to the ringside area and Ciber takes his glasses and breaks them!! Brawling again with Vipers and Vatos! Some minutes of concerned crying fans later... the show ends...

Good show, in-and-out-ring action was good, just like Verano De Escandalo, but the matches were not as hot because some lack of media hype, Huicho was not there. The cage match was not as bloody as I have guessed, and it had few or none spots, I mean, Manson, Psicosis or someguy could have made one of those crazy moves... plachas or sentons from the top of the cage, etc. The stotylines advanced a lot, AAA did a great job at having Perrito involved, now it seems the Juniors Atomicos might get in the same level as the Vatos and Vipers.

CMLL.-

***Emilio Charles vs Villano V.-

1.-Madrugete by Villano and the first fall begins with brawling... mostly punches or slaps by Villano, Emilio ends up bleeding, and has no offense at first, Villano covers for the pin... at the 2 count lifts Charles... then goes for a package... but lets go before, Emilio makes the comeback with by reversing a whip and doing a quebradora con giro, then a face to the mat slam, to get the fall with a huracanrana.

2/3.- More brawling, with Emilio Charles getting the better out of it, but with the referee helping Villano a little, Charles rips open Villano's mask, Charles goes for another huracanrana but Villano powe... well, puts Emilio down in a pin, and grabs the rope to get the second fall (I don't think he needed to do that anyway). In the third fall, they keep brawling, Villano does a DDT on the floor, they continue with the punches and kicks, and trade the control of the match several times, neither of them is too sure about climbing to the ttb to do a splash... Villano goes for it, Charles move... kicks Villano out and does a tope, back in the ring, Charles pins Villano and the referee doesn´t see Charles having both feet on the ropes.

***Blue Panther, Zumbido and Satanico vs Fiera, Mr Niebla (the real) and Shocker.-

1.- Panther and Mr Niebla start with some long matwork, this was good as they were fast enough to go from one move to another, and not the usual long restholds. Next Zumbido and Shocker are in the ring and seem to be in the matworking mood as well, but they last less time at that, later, its Satanico and Fiera, Satanico does the classic 'buddy lest shake hands' thing, but Fiera is as old as Satanico so doesn't fall for the trick, they get to do more matwork, finally, Panther and Niebla are in action again, and the same pairs follow, but this time at a much faster pace, eventually, Fiera pins Panther with the huracanrana while Mr Niebla does the carthwheel with reverse tope spot on Satanico to take the fall. Fiera's huracanrana is the one of the ugliest in the sport.

2/3.- Rudos put 1 and 1 together and make sense with the traditional brawling, soon, Zumbido does his moonsault from the ttb to pin Shocker, while Panther makes Niebla submit with double armbars... in the third: rudos keep brawling outnumbering the tecnicos, untill Shocker and Mr Niebla react and Zumbido and Shocker are left in the ring, Blue encourages Zumbido to take on the tecnico, but Zumbido can not handle him, Satanico and Fiera enter the ring, Fiera goes for his huracanrana, but Satanico breaks the move, eventually, Satanico ends out of the ring and Fiera does his Perro-like senton.Shocker and Niebla get the upper hand facing Zumbido and Panther, who is kicked out of the ring and Niebla does his corner-Santo-like tope. The match comes to an end when the rudos get DQed after Zumbido lowblows Shocker.

This match was only OK mainly by the classic screwed ending, I don't know why Zumbido had to foul Shocker, this matches start to lose any relevance, as they start to look like the WCW matches in which there can not be a clear finish to keep reputations intact.

***Black Warrior, Scorpio jr and Bestia Salvaje vs Santo, Negro Casas and Felino.- Same match as last week, but this follows the traditional format which leads to the masks match, this was supposed to be 'superlibre' which means that the referees let them do more rudo stuff... but this looked as a normal match.

1.-Rudos jump on Negro and Felino as soon as they get near to the ring, rudos brawl, out comes Santo who is no aware about the brawling madrugete (oh, I guess he is just inexperienced), punches and kicks later, the tecnicos are out of the ring, Warrior holds Santo so Bestia and Scorpio double slap him, then Negro gets the same dosis, but they cannot make the triple play on Felino as he ducks and Warrior is sent out of the ring, Negro and Santo take on Scorpio and Bestia, while Felino does his springboard-from the inside second rope to the floor somersault plancha move, which takes Warrior out, Santo and Negro double clothsline Scorpio, then kick Bestia, Negro with a big foot on Scorpio pins him, Santo steps over both of them and small missils kick Bestia, to then put him in the 'la de a caballo'.

2.- Santo dominates Scorpio with some armdrags and a tijeras move, next, Felino is over Warrior too, Warrior is sent to the floor in a spectacular 'salida de bandera', Negro enters to confront Bestia, but Negro is full enough to get close to 'la esquina del dolor' where Warrior and Scorpio hold him and gets overwhelmed. The rudos brawl, and soon Bestia pins Negro with something which was off camera, and Scorpio makes Santo quit with a 'cavernaria', while Warrior beats Felino out of the ring.

3.- Rudos keep brawling, in replays we see Felino being DDTed by Black Warrior on the floor, and Bestia throwing a soft drink on Felino, it seems that Scorpio used a DDT as well on Negro, but the camera was on another thing going on, Scorpio rips Santo's mask open, Felino helps Negro to dodge a whip, and the tecnicos reaction occurs. Santo takes some revenge by ripping Scorpio's mask, later, Scorpio powerbombs Negro, but on a second attempt, Casas jumps off and connects a clothsline which puts Scorpio out by pin, Santo kicks Bestia out and does a ttb plancha!! Just like Axxxel's from AAA.... Warrior faces Felino, at the end Black goes for the frankensteiner, but Felino reverses into a crucifix powerbomb, and takes the match, Warrior has to be stretched out. It seems this next week it will have Felino vs Black Warrior with the rudo (I mean Black, Felino is ALSO a rudo everywhere else) NWA title in play. After that Scorpio and Bestia should defend their titles against Negro and Santo so the final day in the season sees the highly anticipated masks match!! And don't forget about the WCW...

I think Black Warrior will have to drop his non-CMLL title to get his push, I feel (and hope) he could lead the mexican legion against the WCW guys, even the ring announcer said that the WCW was interested in him a while ago, and it's true, he wanted to join them too, but nothing happened, I guess that it was b/c he is not Konnan's friend. This Friday 4th, the WCW should start working in Mexico again, it seems that they'll take part in the trios champ tourney, with a trio including Hector Garza and Dandy-- They are the two original lWo members, aren't they? Remember, Black won the NWA light heavy weight title from el Dandy, so it could be logical to have a Dandy interference costing Warrior the belt, and setting the feud of Warrior and friends vs the lWo...

***Hermanos Dinamitas vs Pierroth, Fuerza Guerrera and Gran Markus jr.-

1/2.- Pierroth and friends came out first, but Dinamitas are too wise to get in the ring one by one -as Santo, Negro and the dumb tecnicos seem to ignore. Anyway, they start brawling, and Dinamitas are not doing good, Mascara Año Dos Mil bleeds, the Dinamitas take the first fall as their opponents are DQed b/c too much rudezas!! This is the ultimate insult to the Dinamitas! In the second the brawling continues, then the inevitable reaction happens and Dinamitas punish the anti-dinamitas team for a long time, only one of Fuerza's trademark bumps and a Universo's tope on Markus are the things of any relevance (imo) and of course the ending, which has Mascara performing a reverse atomic drop on Pierroth who signals as being fouled, one of the referees wants to declare the foul, but the other makes the count and Dinamitas win 2-0. I don't know if it was a foul or not, but I don't care, at least it helped to keep this thing short.

Post.-A lot of things, but at the end, the important thing is that Pierroth and Mascara will be in a one on one match this Friday.

Not as bad a show I have feared, but far from being good, the Villano V vs Emilio was weird, it was and elimination title match? Or they're feuding? Villano V is in WCW... the angle has started? Dinamitas stuff was as expected, but at least they kept it short. Now, we can only hope the WCW makes its move, and CMLL does a good job with the Santo/Negro saga to have a good end of lucha year.
