AAA/FILL, March 28, 1999, Auditorio Municipal, Torreon Coahuila.

-- Second show from the same promo, (see March 21 show), this time, there were no cameras around, and the show started at 7:30 (well a few minutes after that), the attendance was about 1300, as opposed to the previous 2100 (both aprox calcualated by myself). Something I hadn't say the previous time is that this promo uses the name of Mascaras y Cabelleras 2000, but it seems they also run with the 'FILL' legend, which means Federacion Internacional de Lucha Libre.

*** Fantastico and Pequeño Halcon vs Rangercito and Dragoncito.- Billed as Lucha de Minis, the guys were thin, but they didn't look any shorter (or at least considerable shorter) than the usual guys. One fall match. This match rocked the house!! Fantastico uses a green flourecenst Viper/Ultimo Dragon outfit and he's really good, he did a lot of cool armdrags and flyingheadsicssors and flips, some of that stuff didn't come off as smooth, but well enough to blow me away. Pequeño Halcon and the others were OK at least. This match included the train wreck sequence with Fantasico sending Rangercito out of the ring, then hitting a high second rope Quebrada! Pequño Halcon gorilla pressed Dragoncito, and threw him out of the ring(no dq?)!! Halcon then followed with an over the top somersault plancha!! Then, Pequeño Halcon used a 'tapatia paseada' on Rangercito (a romero speacial rolling all over the mat), while Fantastio used a cristo like hold, tecnicos took the match by submissions.

*** Stuka jr and Dick Joker (this is the name of the Mini Val Venis guy) vs La Mascara and Ultimo Rebelde.- Dick Joker keeps working good, he is also pretty short (like the minis in the previous match), but he looks a lot stronger, he uses Venis-like shorts. The first fall had the tecnicos working good, delivering double topes suicidas and taking the fall with double huracanranas. In the second fall, Joker started doing flying headsicssors, including one on La Masacara (who doesn't uses any mask), which had the rudo sitting on the top turnbuckle, and Joker doing the headsicssors, but not in the frankensteiner way, instead, he went behind the guy and jumped toward the ring before connecting the sicssors, besides that, he also did a spinning headsicssors on La Mascara from the apron to the floor, pretty good stuff, then, the lights went off!! No, I'm not making that up!! Amazingly, the workers keep going and when the lights returned, the rudos were dominating as they took the second fall. Some more highspots on the final fall, including a second rope quebrada from Joker (iirmc), and a thru the ropes somersault bodyblock by Stuka jr, however, back in the ring, Ultimo Rebelde reversed a huracanrana by Dick Joker into a liger bomb to get the match.

*** Electro Shock, Hijo del Espanto and Rudy Reyna vs Maravilla Azteca, Chivas Rayadas I and II.- Coco Amarillo was in the flyer, since we all saw him arriving to the Auditorium, as well as Pentagon, Jerry and Medico Asesino jr, we all figured out that Sangre Chicana won't be there, a lot of the guys were dissapointed!!! But seeing Hijo del Espanto was a nice surprise, los Espantos are huge rudos in La Laguna. The match itself was heavy brawling, with less sodomy inuendo than the one from the previous week, although Las Chivas cooperated into the sodomy stuff... btw, las Chivas got huge 'Booooooos' from the crowd (YEEEEEEEES!) Highlights included Rudy kissing Hijo del Tirantes in the mouth (yiiiikes), the PA playing a song so Rudy could dance in between the 2nd and 3rd fall, and a lot of flinging opponents to the chairs. The brawling was focused on Electro Shock and Maravilla Azteca, at the end, Electro low punted Maravilla while the referee wasn't looking, then, Electro went to the mat faking a foul, the crowd screamed 'foul, foul', Tirantes jr saw Electro on the mat so went to rise his arm, the crowd yelled 'nooooo', Tirantes jr went to Maravilla Azteca, crowd:'siiiii', Electro, 'noooooo', Azteca, 'siiii', 'noooooo', 'siiiii', Tirantes jr says 'what the heck' and gives the match to the tecnicos.(Myself: 'nooooooo')

*** Tinieblas (w/Alushe), Octagon, Stuka and Rene Guajardo jr (sub for Murcielago) vs Medico Asesino (w/enfermerito -little male nurse), Pentagon, Jerry Estrada and Coco Amarillo(sub for Sangre Chicana). This was supposed to be the Main event, but they changed it at the last minute. The first fall had usual primera caida stuff, with the tecnicos winning it, Alushe got the biggest pops of the night after a plancha from the apron to the floor on Medico, and a senton from the second turnbuckle on Jerry. The middle fall saw a lot of brawling, with Tinieblas getting his mask ripped open and maybe even juicing a little, rudo took this fall. In the third fall, there was a little more brawling, then the reaction, Tinieblas worked a good old tecnico offense, I was surprised to see him trying hard, but his stuff is not very exciting by today's standards. Pentagon made all of his spots (losing his mask, then putting it backwards and attacking the referee, etc), Medico also losed his hood in the mayhem, Jerry was a little quiet here. The final saw Medico Asesino jr and Enfermerito using some rags 'with chloroform (sp?)' and laying them cold!! The rudos were DQd, but the fans were enraged... and concerned.

*** Herodes vs Valente Fernandez-- Chain match. Herodes was billed as heavyweight FILL champ, but this wasn't a title match. Neither a dog collar match, as they had the chain around their left arms. Herodes used his fat rudo offense early in the match, making Valente show a lot of blood. Valente reacted, he even did a short thru the ropes plancha, they fought for a while, Medico Asesino came out to make the save (save me in this case) and used the chloroform again to put Valente away and get Herodes DQd, then Tinieblas came out to save Valente... a few moments later, Valente produced a gallon of vomit which made me wonder if the chloroform was real... Usual indy show in which the unknow guys try harder and sometimes work great matches, and with the older guys playing it easy.
