4/14/01-Day 1
I just met Frankel the Pirate, a gnome leader of the expedition. I immediately saw the pirate's skiff, got on, and I was off!
We zoned, and I reached the first stop. I hailed Joshel the Large, and he gave me some advice. I heeded it, and immediately got on the gnome ship Icebreaker on the other side. It's massive! After a while, the ship left, and I was nearing the end of the journey for the day.
We broke the ice, it started snowing, and, after a while, I saw solid land. Perhaps I should've prepared more? I talked to some of the gnomes after we landed. I might turn back though. Supplies are low, along with morale. I'll convince some other people to help as well.
8/8/01-Day 2
Been a while since I've written. I took a journey back home to supply fully. I set off alone again to find fame and fortune on the humongous ice cube they call Velious.
After reaching the Icy Fingers' dock, I spoke with the Gnomish pirates. They seemed unhappy to still be there. They didn't like being sick and hungry all the time. I offered them my fish fillets, but they refused. I have a feeling they didn't like the smell of fish after not being refridgerated for a couple days. They don't know what they're missing!
I barely made it past a group of snow cougars on the way to the main camp of Gnomes. Too bad I can't get a bind there. That would help me deal with the peril I'll be facing soon.
I traveled along the shores towards the other Icy Fingers. Luckily for me, the cougars had meals before I came. I saw a tower. Heard about it before. I heard it has a vampire mistress ruling it. Dunno. Maybe once I reach Thurgadin and get a bind, I'll do a bit more EXPLORing. I talked to a few surprisingly friendly gnolls clubbing baby sea walrus'. They still refused to share the meat they got though. Camping for now. See ya!
1/5/02- Day 150
Well, I have not written for a long time again. I've been learning the customs of those gnolls on the Icy Fingers. They've told me stories of giants, dragons, and a secret dwarven city. I gotta see these things!
I began my journey again. I walked for a long time towards the bridge on the map the gnolls gave me. I had to run to the side to avoid snow dervishes. I luckily made it past them. Dire wolves howled in the distance. I sped up as I felt someone (or something) was watching me.
I finally saw the bridge. Hey! The giants don't like me, but omg they tolerate me! Guess it was a good idea to choose Rallos Zek as my deity! The bridge is breathtaking. The giants built it out of dragon bones. I'm gonna cross it in the morning into the Wastes of Velious, home to many creatures, maybe even a dragon! G'nite!
This was the last part of Explor's journal anyone could find.
