March 2001-So I have been getting a lot of attention for the little page. And I honestly feel bad because frankly this page sucks. So, my plan is to find a person who will donate their skills as a webmaster to create a KICK ASS omni/horizon webpage for all of us crazy people. So if you are intersted drop me a line. Otherwise this page will have to do.
My Omni is the first car that I ever bought. I bought it Feb 1998 for $2000. It came with about 89,000 miles and now it's up to 104,126! Woo hoo! It still runs and looks pretty good! (When I say it runs pretty good it has personality. Some times it runs so loud it sounds like it's gonna fall apart. Other times it's totally quiet. Also, for awhile Billy had a stalling phase but he grew up and stopped that. The stalling sucked cause I was afraid I'd have to sell my car!)
3/8/01 A lot of badness has fallen upon the Omni lately. Driving to my new years shin dig there was a little incident with the bearings in my right rear spindle that cause $700 in damamge. Woo that sucked. And then on 3/3/01 I had to dump another $70 in the car because of some stupid problem with my spark plugs. Bah! But I have to do it because I love my car and as I tell my mom...'it's cheaper then children.'
12/14/00 So, I'm going home tomorrow to see the car! Yeah! We had 2 ft of snow at home, so my winter break will be full of interesting driving. Very exciting.
10/23/00 Well, I had a great summer with the car. We drove all the time and I probably put too many miles on it. Oh well. The little guy took me and two friends on a week long camping trip and it drove like a champ. I was very surprised considering the amount of gear it was hauling! I finally got the water pump replaced before the trip and the car is running better then it ever did. I am now back and school and missing it tons. Every time I call my parents I remind them to take the car out to keep it in shape. I'm going home soon and I'm dreadfully excited. Usually I say hey to my family and pets and jump straight into the car.
4/13/00 I'm missing my car lots...I can't wait until I'm home for the summer and can drive all the time!
1/4/00 Since I've been home for a long winter break I've been able to drive lots. It's been nice. The car has been running pretty well. There has been a day or two that the car has not wanted to accelerate, but oh well. It really proved itself on a couple of road trips though. It is a GREAT city car and we had lots of fun in Chicago. It also got to do lots of high way driving around new years and Billy proved he can still pass sports cars of all kinds. Hehehehehe.
11/21/99 My mom finally got a new battery for the car so atleast it runs. I can't wait until I can drive over Thanksgiving. I think my car still needs an oil change so I want to get that done.
10/5/99 Because my parents let my car rot the battery DIED when I went home. I drove it for a bit and then I parked it at a local restaurant. When I came out the car refused to start. I had it jumped and got home, but the little blue car refused to hold a charge. So, it needs a new battery.
9/22/99-I'm at college now...but my car is at home. I'm going home the first weekend in October just to drive. I miss my car dearly... For awhile my parents thought I should sell my car..but I wouldn't let them. I love my little blue car. Yeah baby.
Hitting 100,000 on 7/10/99 was a really big event for me. I was on my way to go camping and had a couple of friends in my car. It was around 9 pm and i was trying really hard to drive and take a picture before the magical mile was up. Maybe I'll scan it someday and put them up...
Well, bad news. Recently my Omni blew a gasket head and I had to have it repaired. Five hundred dollars (a fourth of the value of my car!) later my car is better. I guess I should be happy cause it isn't dead. Also the mechanic found a small crack in the engine however we didn't repair it. It turns out that a lot of Dodge Cars from the late 80's early 90's get these engine cracks and they're not a problem. So if your's gets one you probably don't have to repair it!
E-mail me! I enjoy getting messages and will answer as many questions as I can.
A MESSAGE FOR ALL THOSE PEOPLE WHO MAKE FUN OF OMNI'S!

"I own an '89 omni. it's white with champange colored interior. It's got a kickass sound system consisting of 2 10" rockford fosgate subs and 2 amps. everyone thinks i'm an idiot for liking my car so much but F*** THEM!!! anyways keep on rollin'!!" -John Gibson
"My husband owns a 1980 dodge omni 024. We truly enjoyed your website. We laughed a lot at the comments some of the other guests made. We've experienced some of the same things !!!!" -Julianne
"I have a 1987 Dodge Omni America, the best litlle car in the world !!! It has 170,000 miles and runs and still looks great, except for a little rust .I have to warm it up and wait untill it kicks down before I go though. It's been like that for years, it kicks down in 3 phases from fast, medium, then slow idle but, it's worth the wait to baby my omni because i'ts lasted all these years and outlasted all my friends cars and family that said my little car would not last very long.I hope I get another 5 years out of it or more because I love my omni its been so good to me.My omni is at the Doctor now :o) getting its annual check up and oil change. My mechanic can't believe how clean the engine is.He is surpised every year at inspection time, he just lifts the hood shakes his head in disbelief. It's so funny. Great omni site!! thank you."-Kevin
"Very cool, I own a 1981 omni it's longer than your car. my head gasget just went again so I'm pissed with it. But I love my omni it's name is Betty and your right they are alot of fun."-Kelly
"Hey Man! I love my Omni too! I have an 85' 1.6L Dodge Omni Special Edition. It runs great and looks good too! Everyone makes fun of it, but they cringe when I pass them. You can't truly love an Omni until you own one. You have a great site. Later"- Bryan Schloyer
"Kewl site but you need more Turbo omni's on your site and everyone that visits here should join Team Omni Mailing List.I am on several mailing lists for my car and I have to say that TOML has the greatest bunch of guys and gals on it vs. the other mailing lists. Alot of great insight and help on any problems you may have with your "Omni" " -Teddy Lamm
"Hey, that's my baby on your page. It's the red 86 GLH Turbo near the bottom of your page and it's name is Marmot. (Small, cute and endangered) I was just a little surprised to see it. Have a good one." -Scott
"I own a 85 Omni GLH Turbo - Gold with tan interior. This thing is a BLAST to drive. It has 90,000 miles and runs perfect. It's fun to sneak up behind people in mustangs and cameros and just smoke them. Our cars sure don't look fast to others, but those who have ridden with me know. P.S. Omni's are great for sound systems!" -Jonathan Kidwell
"i have a blue 85 omni glh turbo.has nitrous and a rollcage, it has ran 11.89@118 in the 1/4(faster than a viper)and is now being rebuilt to run 11.50's" -adam
"Man, I have been looking for the front/rear weight distribution for ever for one of these little buggers! Where did you find that info? A friend and I just started building an ITB class Omni for Road Racing, and wanted to see how far from 50/50 we are starting with. Our beast is a charcoal grey 89, was bought for $150 and is getting a roll-cage from hell installed as I type. I also own 3 other dodge front wheel drives. All three are Shelby Chargers. They've run 15.8@88mph, 15.1@96mph, and 13.24@103mph each. Have fun with your Omni! We will be driving ours Grand Turismo style soon." -Dennis Doza II
"GREAT SITE!!! You're right - Omnis DO rock. I got my '86 GLH, Kittyhawk in '87, and you'll have to pry her away from me." -Steven Jepson
"Hello, Omni's do rule. And if you have one you hould join the team omni mailing list. Anyone ever hear of the glh turbo omni or the glhs? mine is a turbo 2 omni, it's an autocross terror, but it looks stock (came with a turbo enine) mustangs beware of omni's with 5 lug wheels, that means a turbo and since we weigh 2300 poiunds and they weigh over 3k they are in TROUBLE!" -Pete
"Omni's Rock and Rule. But you already knew that. There is nothing, and I mean NOTHING cooler than seeing the expression on the face of a Corvette owner after you've smoked 'em." -James
"I have just bought my girlfriend a cool ass 1988 dodge omni. It is black, sort of, and has red interior. It has 90,000 miles on it and it runs like a charm. Oh, if you can ignore that loud ass noise from the exhaust and the constant dragging off of the road due to the terrible tires and the next to no shocks. Other than that it rules! And I got the little son of a bitch for only $200!" -Josh
"love your web page. I have a 1989 Dodge Omni that I have really enjoyed for the past 3 years. It has 140,000 miles on it and runs like a top. It is my 4th Dodge 2.2 powered car. I have had a 1987 Charger, 88' Daytona, and a 86' Lancer ES Turbo. All of which were great reliable cars. I just bought a 97 Caravan for the family and just love it. Chrysler is building some great cars. I am fixing my little Omni up now. It does not need that much work, just some odds and ends. It is one of the most enjoyable cars to drive. Plenty of pep and get-up-and-go."-Mike Grantham
"i used to own a 1987 dodge omni that was i finally sold in september with about 140-50k miles on it. i own a 1988 chrysler new yorker 5th ave now but nothing will ever top the omni..." -Nathan Hall
"I have been the proud owner of two sky blue 1986 Dodge Omnis, both 2.2L. My first Omni I sold at 140,000 miles and bought a restored '85 Chevy Camaro with mag wheels, dual exhaust, spoiler, the works. I soon regretted the loss of my Omni and decided to buy another as a winter beater. That one I sold to a friend last year at 214,000 Miles! Now I have a Honda Civic Del Sol convertible, but I think I might buy my husband an Omni as a Christmas gift. ;)" -Mary
"I have had 3 Omnis. I just wrecked my third but plan on rebuilding it. I have a cool stereo system in it; 2-12"subs. I plan to tint the windows and get custom wheels along with other performance details. All in due time. Well this is a cool site. Viva la Omni!" -Nathan Clark
"I often drive a 1988 Dodge Omni. It now has 170,777 miles on it. Original engine. Original transmission."-Peter Koback
"I read through your website and at least there somebody out there that likes omni's. I own A 1988 Dodge Omni with 242,643 miles on it. The little car needs tires, exhaust, 2 shocks, 2 struts, A major front end rebuild, gas tank, starter, alternator, new fuel injector(s) I'm thinking after I start project 2.2 I'm thinking changing to multi-port injection. It's been a good little car, But at least it still starts and drives(if you can learn to ignore all the noises come from the front of the car and even runs halfway decent)."-Jeff Scott
" I bought my 87' Omni for $225 from a friend who works with my Mom. I bought it today. She is white with blue interior. She runs like a dream. Plus the gas mileage is wonderful. I am 18 and this is my very first car. I am pleased to say the least! I can't wait for my boyfriend to see my new wheels. There is also not one spot of rust on her. I think it is great you have a web page for little wonder cars like mine. Great Job! Proud Own, Terrisa"-Terrisa Mellon
"I too own an Omni. It's an '88 with 132500 miles."-Jermey
"Damn straight omni's are the best cars made on the face of this earth... like you it was and is still my first and only car. you have the same color and interior that i do.... imagine that. mine is in great shape and will hopefully last for years to come.... "-Wicked Clown
"I have an Omni. It is a chick-magnet. It is an '87 version that also has a blue and gray inteior. I painted it silver and added a viper-blue rally stripe. It runs great, but my stupid door handles broke off so I had to get new ones."-Paul Hermann

"I am the proud owner of a 1980 Omni .024 I got it for nothing, and it had 25k on it! It runs like a top, and has all the power I need. It is truly one of the best vehicles I have ever owned."-Paul Laprade
"Omnis are cooler than any damn rice burnin import."-Red
"Omnis are great AMERICAN vehicles. Affordable and small enough to drive in Europe(If you ever been to Europe, you know what I mean). The hatchback is a nice touch. I don't think they look ugly. Heavens no, they are sporty little pieces of junk! ---Wise words of Daniel"-Daniel the Omni Godfather Online
"I got my Omni in 1998. It is a 1986 with 150k Mi on it. I traded it for a can of Diet Coke. The previous owner could not get it to pass Az emissions. $200 worth of parts(*), and lots of my time later, it runs like a charm. The accelerator has a sweet spot that allows me to keep track with the rest of traffic out of traffic lights. My beauty is like yours powder blue, with a blue interior. With the exception of a rip in the drivers seat vinal, the inside is perfect. I think my car is the best piece of junk in Tucson :)" - Andrew Tubbiolo
