Well first of all my name is Heidi Schubert, and I'm 14 years old. I
live in Chicago, IL and I am obsessed with silverchair;) I started
liking them the first time I heard "Tomorrow" on the radio in the summer
of '95. But I really started liking them in August sometime, when I was
feeling really depressed, and worried about my Mom cause she was out of
town, and had never gone outta town with out the rest of our family.. so
It was like at 6am or something and the "Tomorrow" video came on MTV and
somehow once I saw the video come on, I just got this happy feeling and
I knew everything was going to be alright.
I know that's a crapy story but it's true, so in a way silverchair
pulled me thru a kinda bad time for me. So then I bought the Frogstomp
CD and have loved them ever since. Music basicly is my life. I want to
start a band really badly but I don't know anyone who plays anything
other then guitar, which is what I play. But I also play piano.
silverchair is my favorite band in the whole world but I like a lotta
other bands too, some of the ones I also like are: KoRn, Hole, Bikini
Kill, L7, NIN, Marilyn Manson, Stabbing Westward, Handsome, Helmet,
Babes In Toyland, Offspring, Black Sabbath, TOOL, Foo Fighters, Smashing
Pumpkins, Minor Threat, Fugazi, Veruca Salt, The Prodigy, Sonic Youth,
Weezer, Beck, Bjork, Sleater-Kinney, Slant 6, Ammonia, 7 Year Bitch, Led
Zeppelin, Tori Amos, Cibo Matto, Free Kitten, Fluffy, AFI, Guttermouth, The
Vandals, Lush, Magic Dirt, Elastica, Ash and a LOT of other bands. Some
other stuff I enjoy doing are: Acting, Dancing, Drawing, Playing Video
Games, Writing Poems, Songs, and Short Stories, Hanging out, Shoping, Dying
My Hair, and Sleeping, Reading (Poetry, Books, Comic Books, and Magizines)
and of course I love going online!! I even run my own little silverchair list,
It kinda sucks but it's a start:) And it WILL get better with the help
of a lot of people, so if you want more info on it, or want to join..or
both! email me. I guess one of the reasons that I
like silverchair so much, besides there GREAT music, is the fact that I
can relate to so many of there songs. And even though there music can't
completely cure my deprsession and stuff, it helps to know that I'm not
alone in how I feel. Over time on the FML and online I have made a lot
of silverchair loving friends, which is really great cause NONE of my
real life friends like silverchair, and so I get bashed a lot by people
calling me a "teeny" just cause of who I like, and telling me I can't
posibly like Riot Grrrl, Punk, or Ska music because I like
such a "mainstream, Nirvana-wannabe band as silverchair" And that pisses
me off because I think silverchair has such wonderful music, and such
talent that people can't look past the fact that they are young or that
Daniel has blonde hair and blue eyes like Kurt, Hey I used to have
blonde hair and blue eyes too, does that mean I wanna be like Kurt too?
Ugh, people are so stupid. Well That's about all I can think of right
now! I am really really proud and happy to be part of the Gillies Fighters,
because Ben's the most kick ass person I can think of..(well not that I
really know him.. but still!) and he really doesn't get all the credit her
deserves! So hopefully this page will show people how awesome he truely is!
Like I said, don't you just love her???? =)
