8/10/98 review by zindo:
before arriving at great woods: ack so i woke up at ten and ran around trying to get ready and i took a shower and all that crud. around 3 my friend marie came over and she helped me decorate the sign i had made...woohooo that sign...lol on one side it said HAVE NO FEAR ZINDO and winnie...and lilactoga aka honeydew (lol) ARE HERE! on the other side it said POOKIE BE MY SNOOKIE! hehe so anyhoo my mum brought up a camera to my room that i was gonna use and it had little music notes on it and it was so cute and i was kinda hyper so i ended up burning myself with my straightening iron..cause my hair's so curly and i like it better straight...so now i have a scar..o well. so at 430 we arrived at our meeting spot where we picked up erin and katie and we were off! my dad, being the super dad he is, drove us both ways and put up with our happy squeaking. i was in the front passenger seat cause i had to be in charge of the tape deck..and i had to hide the surprise i had made for the other three which were copies of the tape that joan sent me. so i gave the responsibility of decorating the sign over to my 3 friends...not a good idea lol. they went CRAZY! lmao i had outlined the letters on the have no fear side with glow in the dark paint and i had found glue sticks that glowed in the dark and so...wooo my sign looked odd. on the side that said pookie be my snookie the two o's in pookie were made into eyes looking down at the word snookie and the two o's in that had eyes lookin up at the word pookie and between them was a heard with arrows from the eyes going to the heart...and katie had to declare her love for rob somewhere on the sign...then adam...then kyle...soon everyone was bein loved. well anyhoo that kept them busy at least...then...we arrived at great woods! at great woods aaaaaaaaaa we were freakin out by this time...we went in and they searched our bags...lol it was funny my friend was caught with food and the guy was like 'eh' but this other guy was like to me "no food cameras or alcohol?" as he was pokin through my bag...sheesh i don't look like a druggie...so anyhoo first thing we decided to do was find our seats...and OMG they kiked ass! we were practically in the center and 2 rows back from the handicapped spots and the view was GREAT! katie was squeaking with joy. hehe. so then we went and bought stuff..marie didn't buy anything but me, katie, and erin each bought shirts. hmm...mine is navy blue and has a blue and red stripe going across with the words matchbox 20 on top of the red stripe...pretty cool...so then we went and sat down again and waited for semisonic to start..they did and they were ok...but they weren't who we were waiting for....between semisonic and soul asylum i told the guy who sat next to me that when matchbox 20 would come out i was gonna go crazy and that i hoped i wouldn't scare him...but i think just by telling him that he was already a little frightened...lol. um...soul asylum sucked in my opinion lol. the lead singer was so obviously wasted, and the guitar player kept turning his back on the audience and once took his hands off the guitar while he was still playing so..ya know. but during soul asylum there was a paul sighting...during the opening bands katie had her binoculars on the backstage entrance hoping for a glimpse of someone...and she screamed "IT'S PAUL!!" and forked the binoculars over to me and i looked and screamed "I SEE RED HAIR!!!" lol so we got strange looks...lmao and those weren't the last. lol wow this is long..i apologize hehe so then...the moment we had all been waiting for...MATCHBOX 20!!! i stood up and started screaming and luckily we had made friends with the people in front of us...a couple with two children...so they didn't mind as we went crazy and probably made them deaf...well erin and marie were just like "yay" lol. i held up my sign and i planned to hold it up during real world but ended up holding it most of the show...o yeah they opened with argue and ended with long day and played all the song songs on the cd plus tired, you and i and i, nothing compares to you, and their new song, black and white people. kik ass if i have to add. lol so we had a flashlight and because we were so far back i was worried they might not see the sign but between songs when it was completely dark we shined the flashlight on the sign so if they looked out into darkness they would see it...lol. even though i didn't see this cause sometimes the sign blocked my view dammit, katie swears she saw rob go over to brian and point to us! lol and i saw brian look in our direction once (i dunno for sure if he was lookin at us but it looked like it) and he shook his head like 3 times!!! i was like "o my did he say no?" lmao! i didn't expect him to say yes..but i didn't think he would be like THAT lmao. let's see what else...hmm o yeah when they came out rob was wearing a white cowboy hat but he took it off after argue..damn...lol and then he was talkin bout joey takin off his jacket...lol then i saw him fiddle with his shirt like he was gonna take it off but he didn't...damn..lol. then some other time someone chucked a stuffed animal over rob's head and behind him and he looked up at the rafters like 'where did that come from?' hehe. then another time he was talkin bout adam...adam apparantly has been pretty sick the last week (which is why he was under the weather sunday) and that he had some growth on his neck and as rob affectionately put it, "it's like he's growing another fucking head!" so poor adam :( and brian was bopping all around the stage...going up behind paul and joey and around kyle and adam was bopping around too! he was boppin pretty good for a sick guy. lol and there was this screen and it was pretty weird...like it was they had a little thing for each song and once i saw a satellite dish fly by...anyhoo all too soon it was over...sigh. so me and erin and katie broke down and bought the rediculously overpriced programs...$15!! i got totally ripped off and i know it but i don't care! lmao anyone going to a future concert....get the program! there are 3 small pics of kyle shirtless! lmao HELL-O. so anyhoo after that it was about 10:30 (the concert started at 7) and we were there until eleven and thought maybe just maybe we could meet da boys. so i was put in charge of getting us to the buses and katie held on to my back pack and marie was holding on to katie's so we were like a little train! o yeah we looked cool lmao. but i dunno how but i was getting by all these people and really moving! go me. so we got to where the buses should have been and were like 'where's the bus?' then we saw a bus coming out from backstage and i couldn't see it well but i could tell it was a bus and for a second i thought i really WOULD have to block it with myself. but looking inside i didn't see anyone i knew and erin said it was the semisonic bus so i took a pic of it...hehe. so then me and katie decided to go ask the security guard when mb20 was gonna come out..marie and erin were too chicken...so as we were approaching him he was like "do you girls want to go somewhere else?" how rude! the little meanie...so katie stammered "we..we were just wondering when mb20 was gonna come out" and this guy..who was watching south park on a little tv might i add...how secure i would feel...was like (in a tone like he was talking to a five year old) "they left as soon as the concert was over in a limo with a police escort" damn! me and katie thought he might be lying so we waited anyways. i used up all the rest of the film on my camera and sat down on the ground. so we waited for like 10 minutes until this guy on a bike was shooing everone away...cause there were more people than just us waiting...and he was all like 'ok move along now go away' and stuff like that. and he looked at me and was like "you're probably going to have to get up for that" and in my mind i was really boiling but i jsut looked at him as meanly as i could and said "FINE" and i got up and katie, who was also kinda ticked off, was like "well why did the semisonic bus leave just now and matchbox 20 left beofre them?" and i didn't hear his answer. so then we found my dad and went home...my program hasn't been away from me for a second...i slept with it under my pillow lol. and we came home kinda early and katie's mum wouldn't be there for another hour, so my dad took me for a night driving lesson and katie and marie saw my *lovely* driving skills. hehe. soo that's about it...when my dad asked where they were going next and i said hartford he said (this was while we were on the highway) "o then they would be takin this highway" and we were dying! argh..o well...i had such a kik ass time and i sang all the songs i knew totally off tune and as loud as i could be and it was THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!!!!!!!! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa hehe oko so...sorry this is soo long but i had a lot to say...LOFF!!!! :)
9/22/98 review by MB20Girl: I attended a concert Sept 22nd. The opening act was Paula Cole and of course the main act was Matchbox 20. The concert was supposed to start at 7pm. I got to the venue at 4:30pm. And there were already about 50 people in line! I was like "oh no!" I went with my sister. While there we met up with 4 of our concert buddies. As we started talking we heard Rob rehearsing. OMG, he sounded great but there was an echo of his voice. But the the sound of his voice made us shiver. We waited in line until about 5:45pm, they begun opening the gates. So all of a sudden the one line turned into two. So we ran to the 2nd line. They torn our ticket stub and ran like hell to the stage. We made it to the 2nd row of the crowd. It was general addmission.
9/26 and 9/27/98 reviews by Joanscrazy: OK, due to previous novels, I'll try to keep this review shorter....(LMAO!) My husband Tim (aka Shame) and I (Stacy aka Joanscrazy) met Marcy (aka NalaLove) and 2 of her friends in Memphis on Sept. 26 around 2 pm. We all went to Graceland but only had enough time to visit a few gift shops then we headed to the hotel to get ready for the show. We head to the Pyramid (cool venue!) and eat there, check out our seats (we had about 40th row on the floor), and then hang around. At 7:30 the lights go down for Paula Cole. She flipped the audience off and during the show someone in the crowd was trying to tell her they liked the bassists hat. She was like "What? You like my ass? Oh! My band! Oh! His hat! Well, I like your ass too!" LMAO! She put on a good show. So Sometime after 9 the lights go down for mb20 = ) They start off with Argue. They put on the best show I had seen yet! Their song line up was: 1)Argue 2)Girl Like That 3) Damn 4)Real World 5) Shame 6) They started to do Suspicious Minds (an Elvis song) but quit when they got to the chorus. Rob said they didn't really know that song and laughed because they had the crowd fooled to think they did! LOL Not a good thing to do in Memphis there Rob!! LMAO! 7)Hang 8) Mommas don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys 9) Tired 10) Kody 11) 3am 12) Nothing Compares 2 U 13) Busted 14) Push 15) Back 2 Good -----break------ 16) Rob comes on alone and does Rest Stop He said he plays it because his girl likes it...17) Swing (before they started it Rob was like "you cant get this song anywhere! Right Paul?") LOL 18) Don't let Me Down (which Kyle sang most of and Adam did the guitar solo and Joey had an awesome solo too!) 19) Fascination Street 20) You and I and I 21) Longday where they broke into their Fame extra verse and then another extra verse and then the "Well I know you got a little strength left" extra verse.

DAVID GARZA
JAMES A. RHODES ARENA
MARCH 14, 1998
AKRON, OHIO
WE MADE OUR TRAVELS TO AKRON, OHIO. IT WAS An EXTREMELY COLD DAY! IT WAS ME AND MY TWO FRIENDS KIM AND JOANNE. WE ARRIVED AT THE JAMES A . RHODES ARENA TO BEGIN OUR ANXIOUS BUT GRUELING TWO HOUR WAIT IN LINE. WITH THE TEMPERATURE BEING AT LEAST 5 BELOW ZERO WE WERE FREEZING OUR ASSES OFF. IT WAS A SURPRISE TO ME JOANNE DIDN'T GET FROST BIT. SHE HAD ON NO SOCKS! NOTE TO JOANNE: GIRL WHEN ITS BELOW ZERO WEAR SOME SOCKS WITH THOSE CHUNKY ASS SHOES GOOD GOD!! =) THEY FINALLY OPENED THE DOORS. AS WE WERE SLOWLY THAWING OUT WALKING TOWARDS THE SECURITY GUARDS. WE HAD TO WAIT IN LINE TO BE FRISKED. YES FRISKED!! NOTE TO SECURITY GUARD: GRABBING MY ASS IS NOT PART OF THE FRISKING PROCEDURE BUDDY!! AFTER THEY SAW I HAD NO CONCEALED WEAPONS I MADE MY WAY TO GET MY WRIST BAND. CAUSE WE HAD FLOOR BABY!!! DAVID GARZA WAS THE OPENING ACT AND SORRY TO ANY OF HIS FANS BUT HE SUCKED!! AFTER HE STUCK HIS ASS IN OUR FACE A FEW TIMES I WAS THROUGH PAYING ANY ATTENTION TO HIM. well, THEN MY FRIEND JOANNE GOT SICK SO I HAD TO WALK HER OUT OF THE CROWD. SHE DECIDED TO STAY IN THE BACK AWAY FROM ALL THE PEOPLE. I MADE SURE SHE WAS OK. IN THE MEANTIME I LEFT LITTLE 100 LB. KIM TO FIGHT OFF ANYBODY BRAVE ENOUGH TO TRY AND TAKE MY SPOT. I MADE MY WAY BACK TO MY SPOT WHEN THEY TURNED OFF THE LIGHTS FOR MB20 TO TAKE THE STAGE. I WAS LEFT STANDING THERE NOT BEING ABLE TO SEE A DAMN THING. THANK GOD KIM HAD GO-GO GADGET ARMS AND APPARENTLY NIGHT VISION TO THAT NIGHT. I HAD ARRIVED SAFELY BACK TO MY SPOT. JUST THEN THE VIDEO SCREEN DROPPED DOWN. I JUST DON'T GET THE VIDEO.THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THERE IT WAS MY FAVORITE SONG "BUSTED" AND THERE HE WAS THAT OH SO BEAUTIFUL MAN ROB THOMAS LOOKING MIGHTY FINE I MIGHT ADD =) ROB REALLY WASN'T THAT TALKATIVE. HE HAD A FEW THINGS TO SAY LIKE THE REASON HE WROTE "SHAME" ACCORDING TO HIM IT WAS FOR "THE BITCH WHO GAVE MY SHIT TO GOODWILL" HE TOLD US ABOUT HOW HE HAD TRAVELED TO CLEVELAND, OHIO THE DAY BEFORE AND VISITED THE ROCK N ROLL HALL OF FAME. THEN THEY DID AN AWESOME COVER OF CYNDI LAUPER'S "TIME AFTER TIME". THE CROWD WAS TOTALLY INTO THE SHOW. DID I MENTION I HAD FIRST ROW WOOHOO!! IT WAS DEFINETLY WORTH EVERY DOLLAR SPENT AND HEY I EVENTUALLY THAWED OUT. THE SHOW ENDED AND WE MADE OUR WAY OUTSIDE. I HAD EVERY INTENTION OF MEETING ROB. SO WE WENT TO MY CAR TO PREPARE TO BATTLE THE COLD AGAIN. JOANNE WAITED IN THE CAR WHILE ME AND KIM SAT ON A CURB HUDDLED TOGETHER BECAUSE IT WAS SO DAMN COLD. THEN A CROWD STARTED TO GATHER. JUST THEN EVERYBODY STARTED SCREAMING. I TOOK A PEEK THROUGH THE CIRCLE OF FANS AND THERE WAS KYLE COOK IN THE MIDDLE. KIM ASKED HIM IF HE WOULD TAKE A PICTURE WITH ME HE SAID SURE. KYLE STARTED SCREAMING "JENNY,JENNY WHERE ARE YOU?" I WAS LOST AMONG THE FANS. I MADE MY WAY TOWARDS KYLE. WHEN KYLE PUT HIS ARM AROUND ME I FELL. YES I SAID I FELL!! IT WAS SO DAMN COLD AND MY LEGS WERE NUMB AND MY KNEE GAVE OUT. THANK GOD FOR THE SECURITY GUARD WHO CAUGHT ME OTHERWISE IT COULD HAVE BEEN AN UGLIER SCENE. I COULD CARE LESS THOUGH IT WAS HYSTERICAL. WE WAITED A LITTLE LONGER FOR ROB BUT... NO ROB =( OH WELL MAYBE NEXT TIME. IT WAS A VERY FUN AND ENTERTAINING NIGHT THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS =)

MATCHBOX20, SOUL ASYLUM, SEMISONIC
AUGUST 17,1998
BLOSSOM MUSIC CENTER
CUYAHOGA FALLS , OHIO
IT WAS A VERY HOT AND MUGGY DAY. ME AND MY FRIENDS JOANNE AND SUE WERE MAKING OUR WAY INTO BLOSSOM. WE HAD 7TH ROW WHICH IS JUST AS GOOD AS 1ST ROW IN A PLACE THAT COULD PROBABLY FIT 50,000 IF NOT MORE. WE FOUND OUR SEATS AND WAITED FOR THE SHOW TO START. SEMISONIC TOOK THE STAGE FIRST. I ONLY KNEW THE ONE RADIO FRIENDLY SONG " CLOSING TIME". THEY WERE OK IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER IF I KNEW MORE THAN ONE SONG. THEN SOUL ASYLUM TOOK THE STAGE. DID I KNOW ANY OF THEIR SONGS?? HELL YEAH I GREW UP LISTENING TO THEM. ME AND MY FRIEND JOANNE WERE HOPING THEY WOULD PLAY " MISERY". WHICH THEY DID CAUSE HOW COULD I FORGET JOANNE HITTING AND GRABBING ON TO MY BADLY SUNBURNT ARM AND BACK. CALM DOWN CHICA!! AFTER SOUL ASYLUM ENDED THEIR SHOW AND I STOPPED STINGING THE PREPARATION FOR MB20 BEGAN. THEY WERE PLAYING SOME SWEET ASS SONGS THROUGH THE LOUD SPEAKERS. ME , JOANNE AND SUE FOUND OURSELVES SIGNING AS LOUD AS WE COULD TO THE MAD PHAT 80'S TUNES THEY WERE PLAYING LIKE "VIDEO KILLED THE RADIO STAR" AND "SUPERFREAK". THEN THE LIGHTS WENT DOWN AND THERE WERE THOSE FINE LOOKING BOYS WHO CALL THEMSELVES MATCHBOX 20. ROB WAS VERY TALKATIVE. HE WAS TELLING US STORIES LEFT AND RIGHT. ROB SANG ALL THE SONGS OFF THE ALBUM W/ MORE THAN A FEW EXTRAS. THESE EXTRAS INCLUDED SINEAD O'CONNORS "NOTHING COMPARES TO YOU", DAVID BOWIE'S "FAME",SEMISONIC'S "CLOSING TIME" AND "MERCY MERCY ME", "GONE TILL NOVEMBER" ROB COVERING WYCLEF WOOHOO. HE ALSO SANG "REST STOP" AND " YOU AND I AND I" BUT HE PLAYED THE ONE SONG I LOVE BEST "TIRED" I WAS THE ONLY ONE IN MY SECTION WHO KNEW THE SONG. OH WELL, THEN ROB BEGAN TO SING "BACK 2 GOOD" AND THERE IS ALWAYS THAT ONE CHORUS PART WHERE THE TURN ALL THE LIGHTS ON WHICH THEY DID. WHEN THEY DID A HUGE VIDEO SCREEN CAME ON BEHIND THEM AND GOOD GOD I WAS RIGHT THERE THAT GIRL ON THE LEFT JUMPING UP AND DOWN LIKE A FREAK. HEY IT WAS ALL IN GOOD FUN. THEY LEFT THE STAGE AND THE CROWD DEMANDED A ENCORE. THE BAND TOOK THE STAGE AGAIN AND DID A FEW MORE SONGS. THEY ENDED THE SHOW WITH "LONGDAY". THIS SCENE WAS WORTH THE WHOLE PRICE OF ADMISSION. THE BAND WAS SO ENERGETIC. THEY HAD A GUEST A GOOD LOOKING GUEST I MIGHT ADD JOIN THEM ON STAGE. HE WAS BOPPING AROUND ON STAGE PLAYING THE TAMBOURINE. ROB INTRODUCED HIM AS JOHN JACOBSON HE WAS IN A LOCAL BAND LOCAL BEING FLORIDA NOT CLEVELAND THEIR NAME WAS SHOCK LIZARD. THIS GUY PUT A LOT OF ENERGY INTO THIS SONG. HE WAS FLIPPING BACK AND FORTH ON STAGE JUMPING ALL OVER ROB. HE HAD ROB CRACKING UP LAUGHING HE WAS UNABLE TO SING AT SOMETIMES. IT WAS PURE FUN AND THE CROWD LOVED IT AS MUCH AS THE BAND. THE SHOW MUST END AT SOME POINT WHICH IT DID. BUT I CANT WAIT TO SEE THEM AGAIN!!
It's humid and hot in San Antonio, TX. I think it probably went up to about 93 degrees outside. Everyone was hot and sweaty. My sister and I were wearing a radio station t-shirts for a chance to win backstage passes which we didn't win because we got there too early. )o: I was so hot that I had to take off that shirt. So I told the people around me that don't worry I'm not stripping. I had a tank top under that big old shirt. Hehe and the guys started yelling and one guy said where are my dollar bills. Anyways, we were talking about MB20 and the girls infront of us asked us if we were obessed with them. I said YES and the rest of my friends said nothing. lol
Anyways Paula Cole came on stage! No one was really singing or dancing along. So I thought I should at least move a bit and she smiled at me. While Paula was performing we saw Rob and Marisol kissing on the outside of the side of the stage. Ack! My innocent eyes! She was laughing and he was smoking. I think they noticed that we were looking at them so Rob was hiding a bit. Then we saw Adam's head but then it disappeared. Then durning the last the Paula Cole songs we say Paul there just leaning forward and his head leaning on his hand. He looked really cute! hehe.. Oh yeah, during Paula's performance she stuck the finger at someone! I started yelling woohoo!! Okay, Paul's performance was over. While we were waiting for MB20 the bouncers were spraying water at us! I had to cover my camera. ugh! People started pushing! People were geting mad at the people pushing. But come on it's a concert people! So my friend and I were yelling back. hehe.. we mean. Okay so the bouncer kept spraying water and it hit me in my face about 2 times. woo! wait Ack! My camera! After awhile we got tired of the water. Okay, everyone was skin tight and soaking wet! I bet we smelled bad!
Okay the black curtains openned up and woohoo baby!!! There was smoke and red lights!! Rob was right infront of me! I was still in the 2nd row but it was a moshpit now! I started taking pics with my wet camera. Rob was wear a black t-shirt (hehe I could see his manly chest through it hint hint) with black leather pants (is it hot in here?) Adam was wearing a short sleeve button brown shirt with black pants. (hot hot hot) Kyle was wearing blue jeans with a white short sleeve shirt with brown sandals. Hehe they came off while he was performing. shh!! I couldn't really see Paul but he got a haircut and he was wearing a shirt sleeve short. Brian.. all I remember was him wearing a buttoned shirt. sorry )o: They start with Argue! I don't really remember the order of the songs. There were a lot of people passing out. And I had to keep on ducking since I was right smack in the middle. I had to keep telling the dumbass bouncers who wanted to get out. There was a girl behind we who started crying so I held her hand yelling for the guard to get her out. Yes I held her hand to comfort her not because I'm gay, because I'm not. People all around me were getting out. did it hurt! Their bodies, clothles, and shoes. Ugh! First I was surrounded around lots of girls then I was surrounded by guys! I was really hurting by this time! The bouncers kept on asking me if I wanted to get out I kept saying no. After awhile the guys started leaving yes the guys! Hehe I out lasted some guys and I'm only 95lbs! Woohoo!! About 3/4 throught MB20 performance I got out. I told this guy I wanted to get out and *poof* I was on top of everyone! They took me out and I was like 3 ft awy from Rob! woohoo! but I was too dizzy to notice I almost fell but the other bouncer caught me. Rob had a new song called "Marisol's Song." He said that he deciates this song to the woman of his life. And that he has just finished writing that song the night before. So that the song wouldn't get any newer. It was good! They sang a Beatles' song, Gone Til November, Nothing Compares, Tired, plus all their song on YOSLY. That's all I could remember. They ended with Long Day with the extra verse and Gone till November. After the concert I tired to meet them but the bouncers were total assholes! grrr... They should of let me see them since I could pay attention to the concert because I was too busy doing the bouncers' job! .::muttering::. So I didn't met them )o: but Brian kept looking at me, maybe he recognized me from last time! It took two days for me to recover, but I'm better I just really have bruises now. )o: But I'll always have Matchbox 20. Sorry this review is long!
Tim and I had brought a recorder but I got my batteries taken away during Push = ( but I got to keep my tape! = )
Rob said there was 2 kinds of people... Those who had been to Graceland and those who hadn't...LOL He said they toured Graceland the day before. During the show, Mandy got sick and Marcy was pretty much drunk LOL so they went with Chrissy back to their hotel room while Tim and I cruised the streets to see if we could find the busses. We saw them later at the Marriot, so went in to see if we could get a room there. (We find out later it's booked and so is all of Memphis! ack!) We're standing at the front desk when I look over and there's Paul at the front desk too! ACK! He's with some guy I've seen with the band before, but I'm not real sure who he is... I debated with Tim for the longest time about whether or not I go say Hi to him. Finally, I just decide to go tell him what an awesome show they did. I wind up talking to him for a couple minutes and reminded him I was the freak who threw the beanies in Knoxville and he said I still wasn't a freak! LOL I shake Paul's hand and walk back over to Tim and he asks me "Did you ask if you could give him the stuff you got him?" ACK! How could I forget!? So I go back and ask Paul if there was any way I could give him his gifts and he's like "Sure!" But I was like I left them in my car! So he tells me it looked like he was gonna be there a while (he was having trouble getting into his room) and that if he wasn't there when I got back, he would come down later! = ) So I race to the car and get the stuff and when I get back I see Paul just then going up in the elavator! But then Tim pointed out I forgot the racecar I painted for them! So I run back to get that and we sit in this lobby outside the hotel bar waiting for him to come back. The boys body guard walks by and says, "We are gonna be here a long time guys, you're gonna get bored!" I give him the evil eye behind his back...LOL The guy that Paul was with walks into the bar and I ask him if Paul is coming back and he says yes. Minutes later, the body guard comes to talk to us and says you know, he's just doing his job and the boys have the right to their privacy, but yes Paul was coming back down for me! = ) he goes up the elevator and comes back down later. At this point. I'm so tired, I have my face in my hands half asleep and the body guard hits me in the back and says "Don't fall asleep yet!" LOL! Sometime during all this, I see Brian walk out of the hotel and return with what looked like an armload of vending machine snacks and drinks. LMAO! I shoulda asked him if I could help him carry anything! LOL But I didn't, I just left him be.
So finally Paul comes back and I give him everything, explaining why I got him what I did and just babbling some nonsense... I show him the Spice Girls lollipops I got him and he says "Those are really good!" So I'm like "Oh you've had them before?" LOL I pointed out the fact that I gave him everything in a Victoria's secret bag and he says "Probably as close to Victoria's secret I get!" LOL
I don't know how to explain it, but he seemed overwhelmed or something because he just got real quiet, looked down at the floor for a second, and then reaches out to give me a huge hug! = ) So I get a picture with him and let him go... Tim pointed out to me later though that in total we spent like 20 minutes with him! = ) ACK! I didn't realize it was that long until he mentioned it! = ) So we leave and head over to share the room with Marcy, Mandy and Chrissy.
The next morning we get up, get ready, and Mandy and I go down to have breakfast where you can get cooked to order food! WOW! Chrissy joins us a bit later and we get to go back and throw it in the others faces that they missed an awesome breakfast! LOL So we leave for Nashville around noon and get to the Starwood to check out what kind of place it is before we go find our hotel. We check in and Tim and I leave to eat and then head to the venue to save us some good lawn seats. I met Brittnay from the newsletter I'm in and saw Jen from Fanatic. Paula Vole comes on and during "Where have all the cowboys gone" her mic screws up and I swear she sang "where has my microphone gone" LOL Sometime after 9 mb20 comes on and this show is even more awesome!! Paul said it would be but I didn't believe him! LMAO but it was! The song set was the same except they didn't break into Suspicious Minds and Rob did Dear Joan instead of Rest Stop!!! I almost cried!! ACK! YAY! Rob said it was one of his favorite songs and said you couldn't get it on any of their one CDs! LMAO Rob also said in Nashville that sometimes he just kinda walked through the shows but that night he was having fun! = ) And during Longday we got to see ~~drum roll please!~~Dancing Doug!! lmfao! I guess he's some roadie that comes out and dances sometimes during the show...Rob said it was Dougs first time in a long time! Rob also talked more that I have ever seen him in this Longday! Too bad it was the end of the show though. = ( And this time I got the whole show booted even though at this show they were checking bags and patting people down! LOL Me and Tim watched the lines for a bit and got in the one where the guy wasn't patting down and Tim had the recorder in his pants! LOL So after the show we go to buy some merchandise and I get Tim a hat. Mandy, Marcy, and Chrissy decide they want one too and Chrissy goes back to get them and buys the last one at that stand! ACK! So now we are running around the park trying to find hats, but everyone is out! We find the lady who was going to get more stuff to sell and she tells they are ALL out! Ack! Wow!
