Billy The Kid's Racing Page
Welcome to the homepage of Billy (THE KID)Tournear.
I am 16 years old and reside in Quincy,IL. I started my racing career
in 1991 at Quincy Raceways. For the first 4 years I was the Jr factory pilot
for Olson Karts out of Gladstone,IL.
When not racing I am a junior at Quincy Senior High School where I am in Chorus and on the Honor Roll.
I am employed part-time by Shopko in the warehouse. I also help my younger brothers and sister deliver the Quincy Herald Whig. This enables my younger brothers and me to pay for all
our own racing expenses. We also have some great sponsors who help make this all
possible. They are Century Signs, Altgilbers Insurance Agency, Denman Linen Service, L & L Kart Mart,
Quincy Back & Neck Care Center, R&R Auto Sales, and R&R Golf.
In 1998 my family and I were honored by our local T.V. station KHQA as their first Featured Family.
This award is given to families who spend time together. It was kind of neat having TV cameras around for a day. On 1/18/99 I was elected The Quincy Herald Whig 1998 Carrier of the Year out of 350 other carriers. For this I recieved a 10 day all expense paid trip to England and Wales. I look forward to moving up to another form of racing in a few years.
