My Concerts!!This page is going to be dedicated to the concerts I have been to. I've only been to 3 that I like to brag about. The rest are mostly country concerts, because where I'm from, that's pretty much all you get. Later on, I will put in some other pictures and stuff. But now, I will tell you about my concerts!

Jars of Clay!
I went to see Jars of Clay on April 16, 1998. This was one of the best concerts that I have been to. Jars of Clay is a Christian Rock band. I knew about them for a couple of years but I never had listened to a full CD. But I heard they were coming to Tupelo, so I sent my mom to get tickets early one morning. Thanks to her, we got 2nd row seats!!! I went with My cousin Nikki, her mom, Patti, and our friend, Leigh-Andra. At the concert, I was seated by a girl whom looked as if she was mad at the world. I wondered how could she not be enjoying the concert on the second row?! Then, the guitar player, Steven (the one on the far right), started talking to me from the stage! He kept asking me what was wrong with her and stuff, to which I shrugged my shoulders. After that, he kept trying to make me laugh all night! It was a great experience. After that, I became a total fan!!

Matchbox Twenty!
I have LOVED Matchbox Twenty even before they were really famous. Many people believe that the first single was "Push" but actually it was "Long Day". I heard it way before "Push" came out and loved it. Their CD was my first and by far my favorite part of my collection! I saw them in concert at Birmingham, AL, on April 13, 2001! I went with two of my best friends, Lauren and BJ, and their mom, Mary. We had to order our tickets from Ticketmaster so, we didn't get good seats since they randomly pick your seats for you. But, we were positioned good even though we were high. The first band was Lifehouse, whom I was introduced to their music by hearing their name on the list for this concert and then buying the CD and loving it! We were able to get our tickets autographed by them!! Anyway, the next band was Everclear. They were good but I'm not real big fans of them. Next was what I waited like 5 years to see! MATCHBOX TWENTY! It was awesome getting to hear Rob Thomas' soothing voice live in person. And their light show was awesome by itself! It was well worth the wait even though I would have liked to have been closer than what I was.

Three Doors Down!
I came to love Three Doors Down as soon as I heard "Kryptonite" on the radio and heard that they were from Mississippi. I went out and bought their CD and to my surprise, EVERY song was awesome! I became a fan right away! Then I heard that they were coming to Oxford, MS, to play at Ole Miss campus on October 13, 2000! I found this out months in advance and started spreading it around to all my friends. As the date got closer, there was more and more talk about it being a free concert. I just could not believe it. The week before it kept being announced as a free concert so, I decided for sure that I was going! A group of my friends and I went in two seperate cars to Ole Miss campus. When we got there, the line was LONG! My friend, Samantha and I saw some people we knew at the front of the line...so we got up there! The rest of the group decided to stay where they were. We got in, and got arm bands for the floor! During the first band, we just walked around. During the second band, we decided to push our way to the front to get ready for Three Doors Down. While Sam and I was going up front, I heard someone shout, "Watch your head!" I turned to look, and that moment, a crowd surfer kicked me in the face! I was not really hurt but I did have a nice bruise the next day! Anyway, we were able to get FRONT AND CENTER! It was the best!! And 3DD is MUCH better live than on the CD!! |
