William A. Mills, the son of Thomas Jefferson and Elizabeth Mills, married Lucinda Jenkin on 12/2/1886.
Thomas (1790-4/3/1856) and Lucinda (Smith) Jenkin (1800-1871). Thomas came orininally from Virginia, then went to Kentucky, then went to Ohio. Then with his wife and two small children, they came to DeWitt Co., IL., by covered wagon. Then settled near Jenkin Switch.1. James Jenkin: Born near Zenia, Green Co., Ohio, on 5/12/1825. His parents came from Ohio in 1829. There were 13 in his father's family, 6 boys, 7 girls, of which 8 grew to maturity. Two were living in 1897, Mrs. Cassander Evans of Waynesville who was then 79, and Robert T. Jenkin who was 48. James married Lucinda Pollock on 9/12/1852. They had 11 children, eight of which were living in 1897. They had 12 grand-children; one dead before him. He was a Universalist. He was also a Democrat, first voting so in 1848.
