Save as: teachersection
This section is written for teachers.
The content of the teacher section includes the following:
TOPIC: | Specify the basic topic of this unit (e.g., Planets, Diversity, Addition) |
TARGET AUDIENCE: | Specify the grade or grade range for which this unit is designed. (Limit to a maximum grade span of 2-3 grade levels, not broad ranges like 3-8, 5-12, etc.) |
GOALS: | List approximately 4-8 broadly stated goals.
If the writer is unfamiliar with how to write instructional goals, refer to other professional resources on-line, the university library, or texts used for other education coursework. |
Align to Illinois
Learning Standards
Link and target to EXACT location. |
All projects will address multiple Illinois Learning
Standards across multiple learning areas. For example, a "math project"
may also address benchmarks from Science, Social Studies, Fine Arts, and
Language Arts.
Link to the appropriate goals so the reader can immediately access the standards. (TIP: Use the LINK icon in Netscape Composer.) Example of referencing the Standards with links: This project addresses the following Illinois Learning Standards: 1.C.3a, 2.B.3c, and 4.B.3b. TO ADD A TARGET TO A LINK: 1) After the URL, add the symbol # (leave no spaces) 2) Type the specific text to which you want the reader taken when they click the link. For example, in the above example, you would add the following to the URL for Goal 1: #1.C.3a |
Provide links to a minimum of 10 professional resources and/or references. Also provide an annotation of the site for each link. | The Internet enables users to access resources
from around the world. Identify specific webpages/websites
that will provide the reader with additional teaching resources or professional
background for this unit. Remember, these links are for the teacher
and not the student.
Title each link. Do NOT provide a list of web addresses. Annotate each link by writing 2-3 sentences describing the content and value of the site for the user. Use clear, standard English, and write in complete sentences, not brief phrases. |
