The team has played their first game. Molly and I had no idea these guys would play so well together. Now, we have to work on them executing their plays and playing their positions. John tried his best to run our offense, but no one else was. I think I'm going to assign them a U of I player to watch and reinforce it during practice. EISO's A team is goiing to come to some of our practices so that both teams can actually play as a team.

I know one thing we worked on which seemed to pay off is the 3-second rule (no offensive player may be in the lane continuously for 3 or more seconds). I only called it on the Air Command once or twice.
For our second game, we did M-S a favour and played a team MUCH lower than we are. Our guys knew this going into the game and we ended up having five players score.

Since the weather prevented us from playing this past Sunday, we are playing our third game this coming Saturday when Piatt Co. comes to our place. We matched up pretty well against them last year, so this should be an interesting game.
WOW! We've got five athletes doing Individual Skills this year. Three of the five also are going to try the new Intermediate Skills. Since Intermediate is only a demonstration this year, athletes may not advance to State, which is why three of them are doing two events.
