Here we are, the second edition of “Off the Wall.” Ever since the first publication was released, we have received a wide range of comments. Our staff would like to thank you for your comments, especially the supportive ones! It feels great to hear things like “I really enjoyed your paper,” and “Very original thinking!” On the other end of the scale, many people had criticism for our work. Again we would like to remind you that although we ask you to respect our opinions, you are in no way obligated to agree with or like them. This is our place to present our ideas to the world, to let you into our minds, and to let you see us a little more clearly. When people react to an article written by our staff with the un-constructive comment- “WAAH! What a bunch of babies!” they obviously do not understand our purpose. These are OUR ideas, and OUR thoughts; and we understand that not everyone thinks the same way. What would the world be like without different perspectives? Variety is the spice of life, and hopefully people know enough to eat their potatoes with pepper. We do not intend to offend anyone by exercising our rights of free speech, but neither are we going to lay down and blindly conform to other people’s expectations. We are all a little off the wall, but we are all people with our own opinions. If using our rights guaranteed by the first amendment to the United States Constitution makes us babies, then all the grown ups in this world have a lot to learn.
